I walked back to my car with the addition of Maddy. I kick Rue out the front seat obviously.

"Hey Rue and Gia." Maddy says.

"Hey." Gia responds all slow because she's high.

"What's up?" Rue replies.

I see her tease me through the mirror. I roll my eyes and turn my focus on the road. "I'm not taking y'all home tonight."

"Why not?" Rue asks.

"Because you let your sister run off and get high. Aunt Les gon kill you and me." I answer.

"You make a good point." She agrees.

I look over at Maddy who was very quiet. I understood though, I mean her so called boyfriend just choked the shit out of her. I just never understood why or how that attracted her. She's just into that toxic shit I guess.

I like toxicity to a certain extent. Clearly as I'm into Maddy, who's one of the most toxic people of all time. But her relationship with Nate, I could never put myself through that.

I pulled up to my house and respectfully opened the door for Maddy. She's looked shocked as if she ain't use to this. I wouldn't be surprised. She goes out with Nate for crying out loud.

"Gia, go upstairs. I wanna talk to you. Rue tell your mother that y'all staying here. And you can go in my room if you'd like." I tell Maddy.

I show her where my room is before going in the guest room with Gia. I close the door behind me cause I wanted us to talk in private.

"Let me guess. You're upset with me." Gia says.

"Oh no. Look don't tell your mother or sister this but I'm not mad. A little disappointed that you smoked weed with random people though. You don't know what they could've had you smoking. Shit could've been laced for all you know. It's just, if you wanna smoke weed ya should've came to me. I would've got you right. We could've smoked together without Rue or your mom knowing of course." I respond.

"You serious?" She asks.

"Hella serious. I'm the cool cousin. You should know this. On an even more serious note you about to have the munchies soon. The snacks are in the cabinet next to the fridge." I say.

I exit the room and go back to mines. Maddy was looking around but it's not like there's much to see. My room is kind of basic.

"You live here alone don't you?" She asks.

"Yeah, why?" I respond.

"It's kind of obvious. Decor is terrible. Gives it all away." She says.

I chuckle. "Damn, you gon decorate my house or something?"

"Could definitely give you some pointers." Maddy replies.

"You good though? I can take you home if you want or you could stay here. It's up to you." I say.

"I'd rather stay here." She responds.

"Cool. You can browse my closet if you want to change into something more comfortable. You're free to shower, roam the fridge, or whatever it is you wanna do." I say.

She decided to shower and that was fine with me. While she was doing that, I stash the money I made from the carnival into my secret safe. I had about 230,000 dollars in this safe. I don't touch it nor do I plan to anytime soon.

The money was for a back up plan in case anything goes wrong. Like if I need to move again or bond money. Ya know things like that.

Maddy was still in the shower so I decided to shower as well. In a different bathroom of course. I spent a good twenty five minutes in there. I dried off and put on some a sports bra and some boxers along with black sweatpants and a white t-shirt. I put on some Nike socks as well as deodorant and some cologne.

(A/N: I dead ass put on cologne just to go to sleep.💀)

Afterwards I went to check on both Rue and Gia. Rue was on the phone. My guess was it was Jules on the other end. Gia was knocked out but I expected that. It's a side affect being high. 

When I made it back to my room Maddy was out and sitting on the bed.

"You can sleep in the guest room or in here if you'd like." I say.

"In here is fine." She replies.

I nod and begin to leave. "Where are you going?" She asks.

"To the guest room." I answer.

"Y/N don't be stupid. You can sleep in here with me." Maddy says like I was supposed to know that.

"You sure?" I ask.

"Yeah. Come here." She says biting her lip.

That lip biting shit is hot. I need to get it together before I start acting a way I shouldn't. I go over to her only to be left surprised when she pulls me in the bed with her.

I lay down and she seems to be extremely comfortable. She scooted closer to me and looked me in the face.

"Why are you nice to me?" Maddy asks.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I mean most people think I'm some stuck up bitch. Others are afraid of me for whatever reason. You don't appear to be afraid and you don't treat me like you think I'm a bitch either." She responds.

"I like seeing the good in people. Even though that fucked me up back from where I'm from. I just can't help it though. There's so much evil in the world, it's just good to be nice to each other. Besides, how can someone not be nice to a pretty girl like you." I reply.

She looks away a little. There was a sad look in her eye. I hope I didn't upset her. "No one has ever called me pretty before."

"Weren't you in like beauty pageants though?" I ask.

"Yeah but that doesn't count. I was a little girl." She answers.

"So Nate doesn't call you pretty or beautiful? Ya know the things that you obviously are." I say.

"Nope." She says.

"Gotta be fucking blind. He just don't know what he's missing. You deserve better." I admit.

I woke up the next morning alone. Maddy was nowhere to be found. I shrugged off the feeling of disappointment. I can't let myself get too attached to her.

I don't want to experience another heartbreak. My ex left me in a dark place that I never want to go back to. I'll end up back there if I keep on messing with Maddy. She'll never leave Nate alone no matter what he does. I just gotta accept that.

I brushed my teeth and headed inside my walk-in closet to pick my outfit for school. I wasn't feeling anything major so I picked out something comfortable. The shorts really showed off my fully tattooed legs.

I put on all my jewelry like always. I sprayed my signature Dior cologne. I grabbed everything I needed like my wallet, keys, and backpack before exiting my room.

It smelled like someone was cooking so I go straight to the kitchen. It was Rue and Gia. Well more like Gia is doing all the work and Rue just eating it.

"Rue you know you can't cook." I say.

"That's why Gia is doing it. These pancakes are fire." She responds.

We ate before leaving. I took them to their house so they can freshen up and whatnot. I took Gia to school first before going to my own.

"Hey." I say to everyone as Rue and I approached them.

"Hey Y/N." Cassie says with a smile.

I'm starting to sense that she has a crush on me. I mean it's becoming obvious at this point. Although since I can't get with Maddy would I be wrong for going after Cassie?

It's like it's the same routine everyday. The whole school turns heads every time Nate and Maddy walk through the door. I'm not even surprised to see her back with him.

The only shocking thing is that hot ass turtle neck she got on. I know I got on a sweater but damn that's over the top. I'm most likely the only person that knows why she got it on. But that's not my business for me to tell or worry about.

Maddy comes over as usual but this time she's more quiet. Her eyes fall on me first just staring for a moment. I look at her for a split second before turning away. I can't fall into her trap.

"Hey Y/N, I did your homework for you." Skylar, some girl I met yesterday, said.

This was only my second day and a few girls were already thirsting over me. Like Skylar for example. I like to use that to my advantage. Clearly, as I got her to do my homework for me. Just gotta know how to smooth talk them and of course give them something in exchange. Not sex, even if Skylar is very pretty.

She's into Xanax. I'm a drug dealer who doesn't want to do homework. Put the two together.

"Shawty, you the goat for real. Come see me after school." I say.

I feel burning stares from both Cassie and Maddy. I smile at everyone before walking away.

"Wait, Y/N." Cassie says rushing over.

"What's up Cas?" I ask.

"Would you maybe like to come to the Halloween party with me this Friday?" She asks nervously.

Maddy was still staring at me even from down the hall. If looks could kill Cassie would be even further than six feet under. What does she look so jealous for?

I look away from Maddy and give Cassie a smile. "Yeah Cas, I'll roll with you."

Ima lose feelings for Maddy one way or another.
