The calls continue

When he finished writing the question Tsukauchi pushed his notebook towards Mike. The boy read "Is it possible to speak about quirks?", Mike grimaced, mouthed 'Hell no', and shook his head while crossing his arms in a 'x' pattern over his head.

Anna then asked to explain a bit more about how the communication suddenly became possible, and why it wasn't possible before. Tsukauchi carefully answered saying that to be able to connect with them, they had to use a certain wifi, whose source might be a clue for the children to come back, and therefore it needed to be protected. He added that, consequently, communication would be controlled, but allowed anytime the kids desired, and mandatory at any new discovery. Also, twice a day there would be a messages and calls check, and the kids would be given enought time to answer.

Well, but what about their staying, their life had been interrupted, and now that the detective was in charge, how far was he going to go for them? Questioned again the worried older sister. Thankfully Tsukauchi had thought about it, and was ready.

"The children, until a new and better place shall be found, are staying with the professor mentioned. After, it'll be with me for the nights and mornings. During the day it was proposed they follow classes of the scool they were found in, so they can occupy themselves along with keep learning."

Anna, quite satisfied with the person she was talking with, decided it was time for the last attack, although you couldn't really call it attack, it was more of a light punch. "Well, so you'll take care of them when they aren't in school, right? But do you have any children?". Tsukauchi simply said 'no'. "Well, goodness, does that mean you're taking care of our children without previous experience?"

Mike, who was listening and dying a little every time Anna attacked, jumped in to save Tsukauchi (this time he was proud he was able to help), and mouthed that at sixteen, they had a certain degree of autonomy, moreover, the teacher, who was obviously used to teenagers, could be called at any moment. And the kids are cooperative and responsible, so there is no problem.

Anna didn't need much to catch on the fact the detective was being helped by her brother. She decided to trust her brother on this one and said to the adult that, considering the situation, she had no choice but to trust him.

Tsukauchi thanked her for her trust, assured he would not betray it, asked if there was any more questions, received a negative answer then gave Mike his phone back after saying Anna goodbye.

Once she made sure Mike was on the phone, Anna told her little brother, "I accept him, you can trust in and make sure he's the one you go to if any problem arises." Michael's face brightened, and he gave a thumbs up to Naomasa while assuring his sister that that's what he would do. Anna then gave a brief resume of what happened after their disappearance, the chaos, their father fainting, the desperation and sadness, the fear, the resignation, everything.
