Family calls

"Dad please!", panicked Kiki,  blushing of embarassment. At the same time, Mike who had been texting someone all this time, let out a squeal of joy that he quickly apologized for.

He quickly mouthed he was entering a call too, before answering his older sister's call.

"Who?", asked Kiki. "Anna", answered Anna herself, with a sweet and incredibly calm voice.

Mike had a grin that went from one ear to another as he put the phone closer to his ear and started explaining  that he wasn't what was going on, but they were safe, and doing good, yeah. The people are super nice, I assure you. They found us and treated us really well, first we went to a police station but well it didn't go very far. No, sadly I have no idea how we ended up here. No. No, I'm not lying!

Killian caught on quick and approached the phone to say that maybe, maybe they had a theory, but well, their brains weren't functioning properly, it was kinda weird. For example they could perfectly understand what the professor was saying but they had no idea what language it was.

Mike high-fived Kiki for successfully changing the conversation; the next questions were only about how they were feeling, maybe a bit lightheaded? No? Dizzy, weak, slow, nothing? Thank goodness at least it's not that. What was that about the professor?

Mike grinned, oh, well one of the people that found us, and helped us is a professor. He teaches teenager, huh, general subject I'm not sure, how is everyone doing? What, who fainted? Oh. Uh-uh, alright you tell them we're alright. Ah, huh, you want to talk with the professor? The thing is that he's teaching right now.... yeah... but there's his friend who's a detective. Yes, a detective, he's also helping us and he's in front of us right now. So-yes I'm going to give the phone to him right now.

He pleaded with his eyes for the detective to accept the call. Tsukauchi then informed Kiki's father that he would have to return the phone to his daughter since there was another one he was receiving, that happened to be the older sister of his daughter's friend. Kiki's dad accepted, only to be scolded by his daughter as soon as she got her hands on the cellphone.

"Dad you can't just threaten people like that! That man's, huh, special. Smart, he knows when sombody is lying. You sound like a serial killer, seriously! How do I explain you're a butcher now?"

The father argued, it was a good thing that man knew he wasn't lying because it's the only garantuee he had of their safety.

That calmed Killian down. The rest of the conversation turned around how mom, the house and the pets were doing.

Meanwhile, Tsukauchi was struggling with Anna. Sweet, innocent, double-faced Anna, who wouldn't hurt a fly but would humiliate you in front of a crowd. Now, thankfully, Tsukauchi wasn't an enemy, at least not yet. That's what Anna was testing at the moment, who was the person her little brother was trusting.  Anna was good at unerstanding people, 'tis being the only weapon she had, and the only one she needed.
