It was a dark night for the city, darker than it has been for quite sometime now. No citizen understood why though. By all accounts it was a normal night just like any other. But for some reason though they could feel that something was amiss. There was a feeling in the air, the kind that made you want to hurry on back to your home and lock the doors for the night.
High above the city a dark figure soared through the air. To anyone who saw the figure they would have decided it a something with giant bat like wings. It was truly a sight to behold. The kind of image that would put a feeling of fear in your heart but at the same time you wouldn't dare look away or you might miss it.
The dark figure continued to glide over the roof tops of the buildings of Mustafa. The figure appeared to be heading for the abandoned block of the city. The part that was currently under construction after a villain decided to go on a rampage.
The dark figure eventually reached its destination and landed on one of the condemned buildings that was to be rebuilt. The figure landed in a crouched position on the buildings ledge. When it did it's wings collapsed and turned back into what appeared to be a cape. The figure then raised its head showing its piercing white eyes and long pointed ears. The figure then stood up on the ledge revealing the big red bat symbol sprawled across its chest. The dark figure was none other the Izuku in his prototype batsuit code named Batman Beyond.

Batman mind: so far no problems with the suit. The glider system doesn't use any of the suits power so I'm still at full charge. Gliding takes time however, should think about adding a propulsion system to the suit.

Batman then eyed another building and in one leap made it to the roof of that building. When he landed he did a forward role in order to break his fall. After the role he immediately positioned himself into the shadows.

Batman mind: I'm moving like I was before the accident. Good that means the suit is working like it should.

Batman peered out from the shadows towards a building that was in front of him. He was about two buildings away from his target but he could still see it clear as day. That was the building that they were keeping Mei in.

Batman mind: to ordinary people the building looks empty but I'm not ordinary. Even from this distance I can see there make shift guard posts and the dirt bags trying to hid in the shadows. In terms of stealth there amateurs. Still though I need to keep a clear head, I don't know what there quirks. I need to be smart about this.

The eyes of Batman's cawl then changed to that of what appeared the be sonar vision.

Batman mind: in terms of goons there doesn't appear to be to many. There also only seems to be three on the top floor. One of those three is most likely Mei.

Batman then stepped out of the shadows.

Batman mind: it should be easy with this new suit to get up to the top floor without having to worry about the rest of the goons. But with the other two their with Mei I'll need to act fast and take them out before they can alert the others.

Batman then saw that two of the three began to leave the room.

Batman: now's my chance.

Batman leapt off the building and dived face first towards the streets below. Right before he hit the ground and ended his short career as Batman, his cape turned into a glider again. Using the speed and momentum from the fall Batman was able to reach the top floor of the building easily. Once he did Batman's cape turned back to normal again as he clung to the side of the building.

Batman mind: thinks to the strength that this suit provides me I can grip and hold myself in a lot tougher places. However I might install a better way the stick to places. Maybe some kind of magnet system?

Putting those thoughts aside as it wasn't the time to be thinking about improving the suit Batman made his way inside. Getting the window open he slipped into the room. Once inside Batman crouched down and began to take in his surroundings. The room looked like it hadn't been used in quite some time. Odd seeing that its only been vacant for a month or two.
Batman's eyes then went to the only little in the room. A lamp that sat on a desk. At that desk in a chair sat a girl. Even though the girl sat facing away from him Batman knew who it was. The one that he has been searching for.

Batman: Mei.

There was no response from her which Batman found odd. None the less he didn't have much time and knew the other two could be back any second. Making his way over to grab her and leave Batman was shocked by what he saw. Her face, it was like Mei had no life in her, she just starred straight ahead. Not even noticing him.

Batman: Mei......Mei!

???: like what I did with her?

Batman quickly turned to the new voice. There just inside the door stood to men. One dressed like a truly frightening scarecrow and the other looked like the Mad Hatter jumped straight off the pages. The two both had a way about them that would scare anyone else. But Batman wasn't afraid of them, not even a little. He stood up before stepping closer and facing the two.

Batman: Jervis Tetch.

Mad Hatter: I prefer to go by the Mad Hatter now.

Batman then turned to the scarecrow.

Batman: and how long are you going to hide behind that mask Crane?

Scarecrow: so you found me out.

Batman: it wasn't to difficult once I figured out that the fear toxin you were pushing was quirk based.

Scarecrow: how clever of you.

Mad Hatter: yes very clever, very clever indeed.

Scarecrow: now that you know what comes next?

Batman: Mei goes free while you two and the rest of your goons go to jail.

Scarecrow: can't have that.

Mad Hatter: no we can not....... Alice take care of the poor man would you!

Batman was confused by that until he heard movement behind him. He turned just in time to see Mei hit him over the head the a giant wrench. Batman ended up going down and passing out from the surprise attack.

Mad Hatter: and now what do we do with the poor fellow?

Scarecrow: I have so ideas.
