Ch 61

A day or two had come and gone. In that short time nothing had changed for Izuku in terms of him walking again. He didn't like it one bit. Izuku felt as if he should have already been walking again considering how hard he was working.
Recovery Girl had told Izuku that he may never walk again. Even so that didn't stop the two of them from trying anyway. Recovery Girl had tried different exercises for rehabilitation. Only the ones that Izuku was capable of at the moment. Recovery Girl was going to be taking things slow with Izuku. She was determined to make sure he healed properly, no exceptions.
Izuku didn't like this at all. He knew that he was capable of doing more. Izuku was constantly telling Recovery Girl that he could continue with the exercise when she stopped him. He'd almost demand her to show him the harder exercises. Even so she never did. Izuku was stuck moving at Recovery Girls pace and he knew that.
Still that didn't stop Izuku when she wasn't around. He may not have been able to do all the exercises by himself. In fact Izuku could do none of them by himself. That is say for one exercise. So all day Izuku would lay on his bed staring at his toes. At least that's what someone from the outside would think. In actuality Izuku was concentrating on trying to move one of his toes.
In terms of exercises this my not seem like much. In fact it really isn't physically draining at all. It is however a perfect exercise for Izuku at the moment. It's an exercise to help him hopefully regain a connection to his legs. At first he'd start with just a toe but slowly move on to bigger things till eventually his moving his legs.
Izuku continued this exercise day and night. Ever since he learned it from Recovery Girl Izuku had been doing to whenever he could. The only problem was that it didn't seem to be working. His toe wouldn't even twitch. Because of this and the frustration from everything else that had been going on Izuku finally exploded.
What was once unyielding rage hidden deep within him was now coming to the surface. With everything that had been going on Izuku just couldn't take it anymore and snapped. All the rage came rushing out.

Izuku: DAMMIT!!!!!!!

As Izuku yield he balled his hands into a fist. These fists that once beat down on criminals where now about to beat down on something else. Unfortunately for the bed that something was it's plastic side railings. In one blow Izuku snapped the railings off the side of the bed.
This outburst did nothing to calm him down though. Even after breaking the bed Izuku was still seething with anger. Before he could do anymore damage though the nurse came rushing in. Hearing the commotion from down the hall she made to Izuku's room as fast as she could.

Nurse: is everything ok? Are you ok?

Izuku: everything is fine, now get out!

The nurse saw the bed and started to put two and two together. She understood what Izuku was going through. She's been a nurse for a very long time and had see this before. That's one of the reasons that she seemed mostly unaffected by the way that Izuku had spoken to her.

Nurse: I understand that things seem hard now but I promise...........

The nurse couldn't even finish what she was about to say when Izuku interrupted her.

Izuku: I SAID GET OUT!!!!!!!!

The nurse seeing that at this point no matter what she said Izuku just wasn't going to listen left. She still did so reluctantly. She knew that Izuku pushing people away wasn't going to help him. But she also knew that forcing him at this point wasn't going to do anything ether.
Once the nurse left the room Izuku flopped back down onto his bed. He may not have been yelling anymore but the anger was still there. With clinched fists Izuku starred up at the ceiling. Izuku pretty much burned holes in one spot on the ceiling. Izuku starred at the same spot for almost an hour. As he did so he thought about the situation he was in. In the end Izuku new that he had to do something and he couldn't do it from the hospital.

Izuku mind: if I'm going to fix this I need to do it my way.

Grabbing his phone from the little nightstand beside his bed Izuku began to texted. The texted was to an old friend and mentor. Izuku was going to need his help. So Izuku asked the one on the other end of the phone to come and get him when night hit. The guy agreed.
With that done all that was left to do was wait. As he waited Izuku decided to turn on the news. With all of the exercises and physical therapy he had been doing Izuku hadn't been keeping up. So he thought that while he waited he would see what was happening out in the world.
Izuku turned on the tv and began to flip through the Chanels. It took a second put eventually he came to the news station. Just in time to as the weather report was just finishing. That meant the regular news was just about to start.

Anchor: unfortunately we have to start are day on a somber note. UA support course student Mei Hatsume has been kidnapped by Villains.

Hearing this Izuku lost the ability to speak. All he could do was drop the tv remote that was in his hand as the news anchor went on.

Anchor: police are unsure as to why the young girl was taken but they speculate that it has something to do with the girls technical abilities. At this moment no ransom has been made but police have found what appears to be a high tech playing card at the scene of the crime. At this point there is nothing else to report but are hearts go out to the pore girl and her family. Let us pray that someone can get to her in time.
