It was currently midnight and Izuku was still up going over the clues that he found while working the Myers case with Rumi. Izuku has been combing through all of the evidence again and again but until he found out what the chemical does specifically it didn't matter.

Izuku: no finger prints or any dna of any kind except for the quirk gene but since I don't know what it even does it will be hard to narrow down what it even does. If I knew that not only would I figure out why it was used but also who sold it. But until then I'm at a dead end.

A little bit frustrated Izuku got up from his desk and went down stairs to the kitchen in order to get him something to drink and give his eyes a small break from looking at all the evidence. Once Izuku got to the kitchen he went to the fridge opened it up and pulled out a bottle of water that he then began to drink all of it. As he was doing this Izuku felt someone coming up behind him.

???: hey nerd!

By the way Izuku heard the person walk up to him, that person's voice, and the fact that he just called him nerd Izuku knew exactly who it was without have to even turn around to look.

Izuku: hello Bakugou, it's awfully early for someone to be up don't you think?

Bakugou: I could say the same thing to you.

Izuku: well I had some stuff that I needed to think about and look over, what about you?

Bakugou: I also had stuff to think about.

Izuku: oh really.

Bakugou: yeah and it involves you.

Izuku: it involves me?

Bakugou: yes it does, it's about you and the hero killer.

Izuku then finally turns around and faces Bakugou.

Izuku: so what is it that you have been thinking about that involves both me and the hero killer.

Bakugou: you where there at the fight weren't you?

Izuku: yes I seen the fight take place.

Bakugou: that's not what I mean, what I mean is that it was you who defeated the hero killer wasn't it.

When Bakugou said this Izuku didn't say a word and just remained silent.

Bakugou: they said that the hero killer sustained a lot of serious injuries from the pro hero Native, but I don't think that there is any chance in hell that that D list could have beaten a villain that has taken down multiple high level pro's.

Izuku: and you think that since I was there that I was the one who fought and beat the hero killer.

Bakugou: that's exactly what I think nerd.

Izuku: that is an impressive conclusion Bakugou.

Bakugou: so it is true.

Izuku: sorry but I can't tell you exactly what happened that day on orders of the Hosu city police chief.

Bakugou: you bastard, you may not tell me but I know it's true!

As Bakugou began to yell at Izuku, Izuku just turned away from him and began to leave the kitchen and make his way back to his room.

Izuku: good night Bakugou.

Bakugou: wait!

Izuku then stopped to listen to Bakugou but he did not turn around to face him and instead opted to continue looking in the direction that he was going.

Izuku: what?

Bakugou: just know that it doesn't matter how many villains you defeat you will never surpass me and I will alway be better and will be number 1.

Izuku remained quiet for a second before finally speaking.

Izuku: Bakugou you should know that I no longer care about being the number 1 hero, instead I'm going to be what the people need even if it isn't what they want.

Bakugou: well at least you learned not to get in my way anymore and.......

Before Bakugou could continue what he was going to say he was cut off by Izuku who slightly turned he head towards him and began to speak again.

Izuku: but you should also know that I have surpassed you a long time ago Bakugou.

With that said Izuku left a stunned and angry Bakugou and went back to his room before Bakugou started yelling and to continue his work. But when Izuku made it back to his and opened the door his was met with a surprise. There sitting on his bed waiting for him was Jiro.

Izuku: hey, what are you doing here?

Jiro: I couldn't sleep and then I heard the conversation between you and Bakugou.

Izuku: I wouldn't really call that a conversation, more like a one sided yelling contest.

Jiro: yeah well after hear him talk about you fighting the hero killer I really couldn't sleep so I came here.

Izuku: I see.

Jiro: is it true, did you fight him.

Izuku: I can't say.

Jiro: that pretty much tells me that it is true.

Izuku: I......can't say.

Jiro: what were you thinking, you could have died from fighting him.

Izuku: I seem to have been dancing pretty close to the line ever since I got here.

Jiro: that is not something to be proud of.

Izuku: I didn't say I was.

Jiro: (sigh) are you ok, did you get hurt.

Izuku: Stain didn't hurt me.

Jiro: good.

Izuku: how did your internship?

Jiro: good, I learned quite a bit and went on some patrols but nothing real special happened, how about you.

Izuku: nothing special happened with my internship ether.

Jiro: because you can't say?

Izuku: because I can't say.

The two of them remained quiet after that not saying anything for a little bit until Izuku broke that silence.

Izuku: it's pretty late or should I say early, ether way you should probably get some sleep since we have school tomorrow.

Jiro: is it ok if I sleep in here with you tonight?

Izuku: what?

Jiro: it's just that I don't think that I can sleep alone tonight and that being with you might help.

Izuku was surprised by this but could tell that she seemed like she needed someone tonight. Izuku while thinking about this glanced over at his work knowing that he needed to really focus on it but in the end decided that he would help comfort Jiro tonight instead. Looking back at the blushing girl who was waiting for his answer Izuku finally spoke again.

Izuku: I don't mind if you stay here and sleep with me tonight Jiro.

Jiro slightly looked down and was happy by Izuku's answer even though she tried not to show it.

Jiro: thank you.

Izuku: then I guess we should go to bed then.

Jiro: that would be best.

After that the two of them then got in bed and fell asleep with Jiro holding on to Izuku as if making sure that he didn't leave her and Izuku hold Jiro trying to comfort her. The next day was the first day back to class for all of the students of class 1A and the rest of the school. The morning before all of the students left the dorm and before the teachers arrived to start the classes for the day was filled with talk about everyone's internship. That all stopped though when Aizawa came in and the class began. The rest of the day went on like it normally did with them going to all there usually classes. After lunch however things got exciting as they had there hero class with All Might today.

AM: listen up students it's good to see you all again after what seems like a long time but now it's time for us to get back to work.

Kirishima: what are we doing today sir?

AM: today students we will focus on more rescue training.

After hearing that Iida raised his hand.

AM: yes young Iida.

Iida: if we are focusing on rescue training then why aren't we going to the USJ for that sir.

AM: well young Iida the USJ was designed for rescue training during disasters while today we are focusing on more rescues in urban or in this case industrial environments.

Iida: I see.

AM: good, now with that cleared up here is today's exercise. A group of students will race to see who can get to me the civilian in the training first and rescue me, so in essence it is a competition and you can use what ever means necessary to get to me, just try not to cause to much damage.

As All Might said that last part he was pointing at Bakugou who was visibly annoyed and upset by this. After that the first group made there way into the facility which consisted of Mina, Iida, Sero, and Izuku. All of them were placed at different parts of the facility at an equally distance away from All Might who was in the center of all of them.

AM: I hope you all are ready!

After All Might said that a horn went off signaling the beginning of the race between the for of them. Hearing the horn Izuku immediately took off in the direction of All Might.

Izuku mind: due to my suit being destroyed I don't have my cape to glide, but at least I have my grappling hook and some tricks I learned from watching Rumi.

As the race to get to All Might began inside the facility the rest of the students were outside watching the race on a monitor that was set up. As they watched they also talked to each other about who they thought was going to when and most of them thought that it would come down to Iida and Sero.

Momo: Sero and Iida seem like the ones most suited for this training exercise.

Kirishima: yeah they both have quirks meant for mobility and speed.

Tsuyu: that is true but I wouldn't count Mina or Izuku out yet.

Momo: Tsuyu is right, Mina is very creative with her quirk and Izuku has shown many time to be very resourceful.

Shoji: not to mention Midoriya is constantly pulling out some new gadget to help him out of that utility belt of his.

Toru: I know right, at times that belt of his seems like cheating even though it isn't.

Tsuyu: that's just because he uses all of the gadgets in it so well.

Momo: very good points.

Bakugou was listening to the hole conversation but didn't say a word as to focus on Izuku, he wanted to see if what Izuku had said last night was true or not.

Bakugou mind: there is no way in hell that that quirkless bastard got better then me.

Bakugou was then brought out of his thoughts by the sounds of his classmates when Izuku came on to the screen of the monitor. On the monitor the rest of class 1A and Bakugou could see Izuku doing what looked like to them to be so type of free running. Back inside of the facility Izuku was running jumping and climbing all over the place in order to get to All Might.

Izuku mind: I don't have the kind of leg strength that Rumi has do to her quirk and years of training it but just from watching how she got around I was able to modify it to suit me. I can't jump as far as she can but I still can get around.

Izuku continued to run and jump to get around not even using any of his gadget yet. Izuku then came up on a big gap between everything with only a small beam no big then his foot stretching across it. But to everyone's surprise Izuku didn't even slow down and instead began to run across the beam like he was running across the ground. Seeing this pissed Bakugou off to no end.

Bakugou mind: damn it he has gotten better, that doesn't mean he got ahead of me though!

Back with Izuku he could now see All Might but he could also see Sero getting closer to him as well. Without needing to think about it Izuku pulled out his grappling gun and fired managing to hook onto the railing that was next to All Might. Repealing himself up Izuku and Sero were now neck and neck and it was going to be close between the two. The two of them flew over the railing at the same time and each launched themselves at All Might trying to claim victory.

AM: and the winner is.......

Everyone was on the edge of there none existent seats waiting to hear who All Might would call the winner to be.

AM: young Midoriya who managed to grab my arm just a split second before young Sero.
