Chapter 23

"Realization" 

Everyone stood silently, Hinata the only one with her head bowed, bowing before the head of the village. "A-are you sure?" the blonde asked uncertainty, he was convinced that she would want to take their daughter into care. However, at his words, she merely straightened and turned away with a sad smile on her face. "I explained everything to my father." she said sadly, her eyesight seemed to blur. "He has disowned me.'' The two men froze, both knew the Hyuga clan was harsh, but that seemed to have changed over the years.

It was a shock for them, but Hinata was still smiling, she knew it could happen, she was ready for any kind of punishment for her actions. "I... don't belong to the Hyuga clan anymore." Yes, Hinata was ready to be disgraced. It was her punishment, the results of her actions. "But he accepted Hatoshi and Himawari as clan members, even though... he found Boruto showing no signs of being Hyuga, so he cannot accept him." say the woman raised the pressure on the blonde. 'This hypocritical bastard will never change.' he thought, almost speaking his thoughts aloud.

He looked at his ex-wife, he was sure that she was in pain and it was heavy on her heart, but she kept smiling all the time. A sad, regretful smile. "When the truth about our divorce comes to light, Himawari, who looks almost like me, will suffer." the smile faded, she couldn't imagine it. She didn't want to imagine what her daughter would endure through her fault. She couldn't afford to let that happen. Out of respect for the man who had cared for her for years, and for fears for the future of her children, she was ready to do anything to protect them. Even if it meant she might not see them anymore.

"Also... I'm afraid Hatoshi may also go through this." she felt that she was about to cry, she was really close. But she shook her head and couldn't afford to cry now! She couldn't allow her only daughter to feel guilty. "I see, so be it." The Hokage agreed, saving the woman's decision, both adults signed the protocol and parted. Hinata said goodbye to her daughter, saying one important sentence.

"Listen to your father no matter what."

All three stood in front of the tower, waiting for the other blonde's sons. Naruto sighed calmly, knowing he wouldn't have to worry about the village anymore. He agreed to Kakashi's offer. What was that offer? Kakashi a few years back, suggested that the blonde resign from the Hokage, of course the title of the 7th Hokage would remain his and he would have full right to choose a successor. However, he would not have to work for the village, protect it, and spend all his life there. The second issue for Naruto, apart from choosing the next Hokage, was that if something happened to Kakashi and he would not be able to act as head of the village, Naruto should either return to his post or remain in it temporarily until the election of a successor.

After the recent events, the blonde began to think about it more and more, and so he was no longer the Hokage. He was disturbed by the voices of his sons, who happily talked and laughed together, not paying attention to the surroundings. "Are you finished?" he asked, surprising the younger of them with his presence. All three turned immediately and stood directly in front of their father. "All three stay with me." he said with a smile. "Really!?" Boruto couldn't help himself, he was in disbelief, just like his father was sure he would be separated from his sister. His joy was indescribable.

"Now, along with Himwari, I will go get her things. You guys will wait here for Minato and Karin. And then we'll all go get Itachi. "

At that time, at the Uchiha's house, Sakura and Sarada were in the kitchen. The pink-haired woman tried to calm her daughter, who was actually a little scared after seeing what her brothers were capable of.

"Are you leaving us already?" His face didn't show it, but the older brother knew well that his brother had been quietly hoping for a longer visit, though he was not sure if he was right. After all, he could be wrong, right? "Well... Naruto is waiting for me, and I'm sure you have one more important conversation waiting for you today." calm tone, just like his face. Itachi was aware of what was going to happen, the blonde told him that he was going to finish all the affairs in the village and not come back to it.

"What do you mean by that?" the sound of the bell rang around the room, signaling that the black-haired man was about to find out for himself. "I think I should go now." The man's smile never left the man's mouth all day, it was a good day. However, what happens after he opens the door may not be as joyful anymore. Itachi slowly walked to the door, the smile faded from his face, and it was replaced by seriousness.

He opened the door and... Sasuke's eyes saw his friend, a former lover who was standing in front of his door. To his right stood the well-known two rascals, Kawaki and Boruto, who seemed dissatisfied, also to his right, his daughter, Himawari, was hugging him. However, he was more surprised to see the three boys on the left side of the blonde. He had seen two of them today from afar, but he had not yet seen the youngest of them. All three of them looked like a mixture of him and the blonde. The youngest of them stood right next to the blonde, holding on to the blonde's trousers, and behind him there were two. They seemed to be... disgusted.

Sasuke swallowed loudly, he just got what his brother meant. One more, much more serious conversation awaited him. Conversation with Naruto and most likely his sons.
