Chapter 17

"Welcome back..."

Sasuke froze in motion, how... How did this woman know about it? He wasn't sure, but despite his misunderstanding, he felt tears welling up in his eyes. She was right, he was the one who broke the blonde-haired man. "No... That doesn't mean you have the right to destroy him even more!" he bit back at the woman who unnoticed activating her Byakugan, completely unaware of it. Was she surprised by the man's reaction? Not at all. The silent fight that was going on between these two was interrupted by Sakura's voice, who still stood in shock, not understanding what was just going on. "What... What are you talking about, Hinata?"

The purple-haired woman deactivated her Byakugan and took a deep breath. "Sakura, I was the one who had the affair first." she said without even glancing at her friend. The woman's face was even more shocked than before. She slowly realized that not only had she been lied to, but she had also helped hurt her best friend, her brother. As it was not the first time. "What... What about Naruto..?" she asked softly, waiting for answers. "He had a lover and children before he married me." she confessed, seeing the expression of surprise on the face of the man standing in front of her. Sasuke raised his head, which he had kept lowered so far, and looked at the woman searchingly. He wanted to make sure she was lying, but he saw no sign of her being.

Sakura, not thinking much, asked another question. It has been bothering her husband for a long time. "So why did you ever get married?" Upon hearing the question, the violet-eyed woman lowered her head. Right, why did they even get married? After all, none of them had feelings, no matter how much they told themselves. "I... thought maybe he would be able to love me. Maybe if we start a family, have children, a happy future awaits us. " she began speaking softly, under her breath, as if she was talking more to herself than to the people in the room. "His lover betrayed him, broke his heart the day Naruto wanted to propose to him. It was the day when I wanted to confess my feelings to him and I didn't want to see it." the woman clenched her hand into a fist, holding it against her chest. She had never told anyone about it, no one really knew how the two of them got married. "I... tried to console him, I promised not to tell anyone. I saw him suffer, especially when he attended his beloved's wedding. But there was nothing I could do about it, so I made the most selfish decision of my life and offered him a marriage. Marriage as its medicine. " she confessed, feeling her eyesight becoming increasingly blurry.

There was a brief silence, no one dared to speak, no one except Sakura. "What about his... lover?" she asked without looking up from the floor. Hinata wiped the tears that had come to her eyes, her gaze sharpened sharply, piercingly focused on the black-haired man. "As I said, he married someone else, his best friend." Sasuke lowered his head, he knew it was over and the truth would come out. He deserved it, for all he did, even he couldn't lie to himself anymore. "Isn't that true, Sasuke?"

The pink-haired woman couldn't believe what she heard. Her husband, the person she had felt most and sincerely loved all her life, turned out to be ordinary, treacherous garbage. And she was no better than him, helping him achieve what he wanted. How naive she was. "I never would have thought he was able to get pregnant." the man explained, keeping his gaze on the floor, trying to hold onto his emotions. "Get over this emotionless shit!" the woman cried, not even wanting to listen to the man's poor explanations. "Nobody knew about it, not even Naruto himself!"

The atmosphere in the room was unbearable, the air became heavy, and there was silence again. Sasuke still kept his head down, not having the courage to look his wife in the face. In turn, Sakura began to realize what she had done, but was she really to blame for it? After all, she had no idea that her brother loved a man, that they were in a relationship, that they had children... Hinata, unable to look at this laughable image of a man in front of her any longer, decided to break the silence that weighs down on everyone. "For your information, you have three sons." she said, keeping her eyes focused on the face of the man who sharply raised his head, looking surprised and happy at the same time at the woman, but this state was quickly broken when he heard the rest of the speech. "Not that any of them would want to get to know you or even admit your kinship. All three sincerely hate you." After these words, regardless of what any of them wanted to say, Hinata gathered her things and just left, leaving the married couple with mixed feelings.

At the same time, in a completely different part of the country, a black-haired man was just waking up to life. With difficulty opening his heavy eyelids and slowly getting up to sit up. 'Where am I?' He thought, looking around the unfamiliar room. His eyes fell on the two figures in front of him, the white-skinned man sitting right in front of him and the red-haired woman standing next to him, leaning against the wall. "What..?" he said softly, his throat ached, long unused.

"Welcome back, Itachi!"
