Later at the Human Village....
Batman/Johnny was gliding throughout the village and grappling up at the rooftops patrolling the night. The Batsuit was mostly covered in snow.

"I hope you're trying to keep a low profile tonight, Johnny." Alfred said on Batman/Johnny's earbud.

"Trust me, Al. I'll be back at the hotel before Mavis and the others realizes that I'm gone. I had it under control." Batman/Johnny reassured while gliding up on the sky.

"It's not just that. If some curious child looks out the window to see who's pattering across their rooftops, they're expecting Santa Claus, not a giant bat-creature." Alfred said.

"I don't patter." Batman/Johnny commented while Alfred sigh and ending the conversation.

While gliding around the human village, Batman/Johnny managed to spot some thugs outside a research laboratory building. Batman/Johnny managed to glide kick one of the thugs.

"Look out! Batman's here!" One of the thugs shouted and given a flying punch by Batman/Johnny right on the face.

"This is gonna hurt, Batman!" Another thug tried to punch Batman/Johnny but the attack was countered and was punched at the jaw

"Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Rob...." The third thug mocked was cut off when Batman/Johnny kicked him at the rib cage.

Batman/Johnny kept punching every thug he sees forming his free flow combat until the thugs were knocked out one by one. After the thugs were defeated, Batman/Johnny recognized the attire that the thugs were wearing.

"Strange, these are Penguin's men but why are they doing at a research laboratory building?" Batman/Johnny asked in his mind. He also noticed a giant ice wall was blocking the entrance of the building. "That wall of ice is blocking the entrance of the laboratory. The Thermal Gloves can break that ice once I get back to the hotel but right now I need to find another way in to the building."

Batman/Johnny grappled up to the rooftop of the building and found a vent that leads inside the building. Batman/Johnny crouched down to fit inside the vent and managed to get inside the building only to find security guards frozen in ice.

"There's still alive but only frozen in ice. There's something more sinister going on here. I'll come back to help these people once I have my Thermal Gloves built into the XE Suit." Batman/Johnny said as he continued walking through the hallway and found another group of thugs beating up the CEO, Ferris Boyle.

"Yeah hit him again!" A thug yelled while they were beating up Boyle.

"No please!" Boyle pleaded in fear until a thug punched him on the face sending him to the ground.

Batman/Johnny jumped in to rescue Boyle from the thugs. All of the thugs were now struck by fear as Batman/Johnny began to take them all down one by one.

"Are you hurt?" Batman/Johnny asked after he finished the thugs.

"I.... I can't believe it! You're real!" Boyle gasped in surprise.

"I'm getting you out of here." Batman/Johnny said as he helped Boyle to stand up.

They were about to head into a much safer place until Mr. Freeze showed up wearing his cryogenic suit and his freeze gun. Mr. Freeze fired his gun at them but Batman/Johnny managed to push Boyle away. It was Batman/Johnny was stuck in the ice only leaving out his head and hands.

"I have no quarrel with you, Batman." Mr. Freeze said.

"Then you pissed off the wrong guy." Batman/Johnny stated angrily with cold air coming out from his mouth as he speaks.

Mr. Freeze walked towards to Boyle menacingly with heavy footsteps.

"Fries? What do you want with me?!" Boyle yelled in fear as Mr. Freeze grabs him on the collar.

"Just need to require a moment of your time." Mr. Freeze pushed Boyle in front forcing him to walk.

Mr. Freeze and Boyle escaped as more Penguin thugs came in to the room as Batman/Johnny used his every strength to break free from the ice.

"Hah! The Bat's on ice!" The thug mocked thinking this was going to be easy until Batman/Johnny finally broke free from the ice. "That ain't fair!"

Batman/Johnny recovered quickly and started to beat down some more thugs. The thugs were knocked out once more as Batman/Johnny's body was shivering a little from the cold but got over it easily.

Before Batman/Johnny continued his journey, he spotted Boyle's office nearby. He entered his office and saw a laptop on his table. Batman/Johnny opened up the laptop and inserted a USB drive.

"Alfred, I hacked through Ferris Boyle's files but it's sealed tight. I'm sending it to you now. It maybe able to help us learn more about him and this Mr. Freeze character." Batman/Johnny said talking to Alfred through his earbud.

"Alright. It may take me awhile but I'll try." Alfred said.

The conversation ended as Batman/Johnny detached the USB drive from the laptop and puts it inside the pouch on his utility belt.

Meanwhile somewhere inside the building, Mr. Freeze was still taking Boyle as hostage and needed his security access to the the biggest laboratory research room.

"Please don't do this! I beg you!" Boyle pleaded in fear while shivering from the cold.

"You beg? In my nightmares, I can see her behind the glass begging to me with frozen ice. How I've long to see that look frozen on you!" Mr. Freeze stated as he aimed his cryogenic weapon at Boyle.

Batman/Johnny managed to keep up and saw both Mr. Freeze and Boyle standing in front of the door.

"I'll give you one chance to let him go!" Batman/Johnny said.

"Threats are meaningless to a man who has lost everything!" Mr. Freeze fired his freeze gun at Batman/Johnny but this time he evaded the attack.

With Batman/Johnny out of the way, Mr. Freeze fired his freeze gun at the wall forming a gigantic ice wall between him and Batman/Johnny. The door opened after it accepted Boyle's security access and entered the laboratory only leaving Batman/Johnny behind again.

"Alfred, we have a problem. I know where Freeze has taken Boyle but the ice wall is blocking the way. Even my Explosive Gel is not too strong to break the ice. How's the XE suit and Thermal Gloves going?" Batman/Johnny said.

"It's almost done, Johnathan. You can come back at the hotel to pick it up and...." Alfred continued to speak but stopped for a second when he received a horrible news. "Oh dear!"

"What is it?" Batman/Johnny asked curiously.

"I think we might have another problem. It's the Penguin and his men are busting him out of the police station as we speak." Alfred explained.

"Damnit! I'll deal with Cobblepot before I get back to the hotel." Batman/Johnny ran towards his way out from the building and quickly headed to police station before Penguin made his escape.

Later on the police station's rooftop, five of Penguin's men were beating up two defenseless police officers.

"What's the matter cop? Can't fight back?" The thug said as he punched one of the police officers.

"You won't win!" The police officer shouted.

"Yeah right. Looks you're not going to spend your Christmas with the family." The thug said as he laughed cruelly.

"Screw you!" The second cop shouted.

"What the bloody hell is happening out there? Why am I still stuck here at the elevator?" The Penguin asked through one of the thug's phone.

"We cut the power, boss. Just like what you said." The thug answered.

"AFTER YOU IDIOT! I said we cut the power after I get out of here! Now what the hell am I suppose to do right now?!" Penguin shouted angrily at his stupid thug.

"What's the Bat doing here?!" The thugs were frightened to see Batman/Johnny just coming out of no where and started to beat them down one by one while the police officers kept cheering for the vigilante.

After the thugs were incapacitated, Batman/Johnny helped the police officers to stand up.

"Batman! Thank god it's really you!" The police officer exclaimed in surprise.

"What happened here?" Batman/Johnny asked.

"It's Cobblepot. A couple of his men cut off the power. The cops inside can't get out. Luckily Cobblepot is still stuck inside the elevator." The police officer chuckled.

"Do you have a back up generator here?" Batman/Johnny asked.

"Yeah. It's at upper ground just below us but Cobblepot's men are guarding that room. Good thing the rest of the cops are hidden at the lower ground underneath the building." The police officer answered.

"Stay here. I'm bringing power back to this building." Batman/Johnny said.

With the thugs unconscious, the police officers found a place to get some rest while Batman/Johnny dropped down to the balcony at the floor where 7 of Penguin's armed thugs are guarding the place. Batman/Johnny sneaked inside the room and take them all silently one by one. It didn't take too long for Johnny to clear the room.

"That's the thugs dealt with. I can use the Remote Electrical Charge To fire up the generator." Batman/Johnny grabbed his REC gun and fired at the generator.

A few seconds later, the generator was working and the lights turned back on. Batman/Johnny grappled up on the rooftop joining the two police officers.

"The power's back on! How did you do it?" The police officers asked in amazement.

"Is Penguin still in the elevator?" Batman/Johnny asked.

"Yeah he's still there." The second police officer said.

"Open it up." Batman/Johnny demanded.

The police officer pressed some buttons on the keypad near the elevator and the door began to open.

"Yes! I'm finally free!" Penguin exclaimed in victory. He walks out of the elevator and was not minding his surroundings because he was busy lighting up his cigar on his mouth. The next thing that happens was Penguin saw Batman/Johnny and the two police officers accompanying him and his unconscious men behind them. "Oh bloody hell!" The Penguin said in defeat while dropping his cigar.

"Back to your cell, little man." The police officer smirked while placing handcuffs on Penguins wrist.

The second elevator opened revealing more police officers to clean the mess up.

"Take the rest of Penguin's thugs inside their cells." Batman/Johnny said.

"Sure thing, Batman." The police officer said as his colleagues arrested more of Penguin's men.

"This place suits you, Cobblepot." Batman/Johnny said to Penguin.

"Aww... you look tired, mate. It's taken it outta ya putting me back there. I can tell. Only so much the human body can take before it gives up!" Penguin said while laughing.

"Seeing you behind bars keeps me going." Batman/Johnny said.

"I'll wipe that smug off your face, just you wait!" Penguin retorted angrily.

"Thanks for the help, Batman. We'll tell the police captain what you've done here for us tonight. Merry Christmas." Another police officer kindly said to Batman/Johnny.

The police officers headed back inside the elevator to put Penguin and his men back in there cells. Only Batman/Johnny was left on the rooftop.

"Alfred, I've taken care of Penguin. I coming back to the hotel to retrieve the XE Suit." Batman/Johnny said to Alfred on his earbud.

"Good work, Johnny. I also managed to open Mr. Boyle's files." Alfred said.

"What did you found?" Batman/Johnny asked.

"I think it's best if see it yourself in person." Alfred suggested.

After a few minutes, Batman/Johnny arrived at the hotel and entered his room at the window. He saw Alfred sitting on his bed with the laptop on his lap.

"What do we know about Ferris Boyle?" Johnny asked as he removed the cowl.

"Right. Ferris Boyle is a wealthy CEO of the research laboratory here in town. He accepted the humanitarian award and describes his business 'The People Company". However, there is one thing that caught my attention." Alfred said.

"What do you mean?" Johnny asked.

Alfred handed over the laptop to Johnny. The laptop was containing a classified video clip that Boyle was hiding. Johnny played the video and was showing a scientist recording himself for an experiment.

"My name is Dr. Victor Fries. I am recording on what I pray will be mankind's first step toward immortality." The camera changed it's angle at a frozen chamber with an unconscious woman inside it. "Behind me you see the CC 100, a cryogenic chamber of my own design. I created it for the expression purpose of freezing subject stricken with inoperable ailments. Subjects like my own beloved wife, Nora, once a remedy has been caught..." Victor's video experiment was interrupted when someone was trying to enter his lab.

"Open this door! Open it now!" The door was kicked open revealing Ferris Boyle and two security guards. "Get away from that equipment! Shut this stuff down!"

"STOP! This is my experiment!" Victor exclaimed.

"You're unauthorized experiment I ordered funding suspended weeks ago! I'm already in three million debt thanks to you!" Boyle said.

"You can't stop it now! My wife is in there!" Victor tried to explain.

"So bring her out." Boyle suggested.

"You can't interrupt the process now!" Victor explained.

"Open it!" Boyle said to his security guards.

"It's her only chance!" Victor pleaded for mercy.

"This is my equipment! Mine! I have every legal right to use it or not to use it as I see fit! I say this project ends now!" Boyle shouted furiously in anger.

Victor noticed a gun placed on the guard's gun hostler so he quickly stole it aimed at Boyle.

"NO! Stay away from her! Murder!" Victor yelled still aiming the gun at Boyle.

"Vi... Victor, I'm sorry. I lost my temper. It doesn't have to come to this. We can talk." Boyle explained nervously.

Victor was able to calm himself down as he lowered the gun. Boyle kicked him at the stomach sending him at the table behind containing chemical test tubes. The glass broke when it made physical contact with Victor's body, who screamed in pain when chemicals spilled on his body. The room started fog in smoke.

"Get out! Now!" Boyle and his security guards quickly got out of Victor's lab.

"No... Nora! Nora!" Victor was so weak that he only crawled on the floor reaching out to the cryogenic chamber that Nora was in.

The video ended leaving both Johnny and Alfred speechless. They couldn't believe from what they just saw.

"My... god." Alfred managed to speak.

"Now this explains everything. The accident changed Victor's metabolisms and skin color which is why he was wearing a cryogenic super suit to help him survive. And the fact he's out for revenge against Ferris. All this violence... he was just trying to save his dying wife." Johnny said as he feels the pain that Victor was feeling and how he became Mr. Freeze. "I need to stop Freeze before he even kills Ferris."

"XE Suit ready for deployment." Alfred said.

Johnny started to upgrade his Batsuit to form the EX Suit. The Upgraded Batsuit was now bulkier to fight against the cold and the mouth whole on the cowl was now covered muffling Batman/Johnny' voice.

The Extreme Environment Batsuit, usually shortened to the XE suit, is a Batsuit that helps Batman/Johnny in extreme environments (mainly cold and cryovapor) and attached to it was the Thermal Gloves and were used by Batman/Johnny to free people that were frozen in ice blocks, break through ice formations, and take down enemies. In addition, the Thermo Charged Batarangs are the latest upgrades and capable of breaking ice formations.

Johnny began to wear the XE Suit and the Thermal Gloves on. He also wore the cowl on that the mouth hole was now covered to fight against the cold.

"Alfred, send the police the evidence that we've gathered against Boyle's crimes they need to know about this." Batman/Johnny said. Even if his voice modulator/changer was on, the voice was still muffled behind the mask.

Alfred began to send the video to the police as an anonymous source while Batman/Johnny glides out from the window to head back to the village and stop Mr. Freeze.
