Chapter 10

Back at the Hotel Lobby.....
Johnny and Mavis shortly arrived at the lobby were they found Dracula with the Loughrans, who were catching up things with Alfred as well.

"Well, would you like who decided to finally come and visit." Johnny said smiling at his family. The Loughrans turned their attention from where the familiar voice came from.

"Oh, Johnathan there you are! We were just talking about you." Alfred said in surprise.

"JOHNNY!" Brett, Kent, and Melly yelled in happiness seeing Johnny again as they gave their dear brother a big hug while Mavis giggled from the love they have for Johnny. Both Brett and Kent ended the group hug but Melly was still hugging Johnny.

"Oh, Johnny I've missed you so much!" Melly exclaimed as she hugged Johnny tightly.

"I miss you too, little sis." Johnny replied as they ended the hug. "I assume you guys already met Mavis?"

"Yes! we all did!" Melly answered. "I gotta say Johnny, she's really cute and adorable."

"Oh, thank you." Mavis blushed.

"Well since you've already checked in, how about a little tour around the hotel?" Dracula suggested.

"Yeah sure. That would be great, sir." Brett approved.

Dracula gave the Brett, Kent, Melly, even Mavis, Johnny, and Alfred the whole tour around the hotel where he showed them the pool, cafeteria, ballroom, auditorium, the library, even a hotel theater and others but he didn't show them the off limit parts of the hotel such as the secret tunnels within the hotel. The Loughrans also got the chance to meet the rest of Dracula's closest friends and Mavis' best friends. They were so eager to meet more iconic monsters.

After the tour, Dracula, Mavis, Johnny, Brett, Kent, Melly, and Alfred sat on the table by the pool all together talking and laughing. They told story of how Johnny met Mavis. They all glared at Dracula after the time when he set up the fake human village but Mavis forgave him because she knew that he was just trying to protect her and loved him for that. while the story goes on, The Loughrans frowned when they learned that Johnny was exposed as a human at the night of Mavis' 118th birthday and rejected her for the sake of Dracula. But at the end, they cheered when Dracula brought Johnny back to Mavis showing that they are really meant to be.

"Mavis, did we ever tell you the time we were on a road trip and Johnny over here..." Melly tried to her best not to laugh but was cut off by Johnny.

"Yeah. nice try, sis. But Mavis already knows about that road trip incident." Johnny chuckled at her sister but still embarrassed. "Thanks to Alfred over here." Johnny pointed at Alfred while everyone laughed remembering the whole story.

"Well, it has to come out some day, Johnathan." Alfred said laughing a little.

"What about the time when you were pretending to be that TV character you loved so much.... The Gray Ghost was it?" Kent suggested.

"The Ghost what?" Mavis asked confusingly.

"It's called The Gray Ghost, Mavy." Johnny explained pulling Mavis closer to him. "It's a superhero TV show I used to watch when I was a kid with my dad. I still have the disc in my backpack if you wanted to watch it."

"Sure. I think it sounds fun." Mavis smiles at Johnny.

"Yeah. Since he was a huge fan of it, he used to pretend to be the character. He wore the costume, running around the house until he ACCIDENTALLY broke the vase that Grandpa Dennis gave to mom and dad." Brett explained the whole story.

"Oooohhhh." Everyone said in shock.

"If you tried to ride your scooter thingy around the hotel and broke a furniture, I will kick you out of this hotel." Dracula sternly said at his future son-in-law. This silenced the Loughrans and Alfred while Mavis glared at her father. Of course Dracula didn't mean that.

"Okay I was 5 at the time, alright. But in my defense, I told mom and dad the truth and after time passes, they forgave and told me to be more careful next time." Johnny said defending himself. The Loughrans and Alfred chuckled at his explanation.

"Speaking of your parents, where are they? Didn't they came with you?" Mavis asked.

"Yes, I even prepared the room for them until Johnny said that it was only you guys would come and visit." Dracula asked.

Dracula and Mavis noticed that Brett, Kent, Melly, and Alfred slowly frowned in sadness, mostly Johnny. Deep down, they regretted to asked the questions.

"Uh... how about we watch that Gray Ghost show in the theatre to see if Drac and Mavis likes it?" Johnny said in hurry trying to change the subject. "Drac, is it okay if we watch the show there?"

"Uh... sure I guess. I'll tell the staff to prepare the theater." Dracula said. Both Him and Mavis were curious on why the Loughrans didn't want to talk about their parents but that is one question they have to know one day.

They also invited the Drac Pack and Mavis' friends to come along and watch the show in the theater. Johnny helped the zombie staff (mostly him doing the work) to prepare the show before going back to his friends and families. After everything was set, they all sat in their respective chairs with their own popcorns and drinks. Sitting at the first row was Frank, Eunice, Wayne, Wanda, Murray, and Griffin. At second row was Brett, Kent, Melly, and Alfred. The third row was Hank, Wendy, Pedro, Dracula, Mavis, and Johnny. Dracula sat next to the engaged couple to keep an eye on them, which annoys Mavis.

Shortly, the intro of the show starts at a dark and foggy sky with tall buildings. The second scene started when an old man was about to get mugged by two street thugs....

When crime haunts the night, a silent crusader carries the torch of Justice!

A figure came out from the shadows to save the innocent man. The street thugs were terrified to see The Gray Ghost in front of them. The street thugs were about to attack the vigilante but the Gray Ghost was able to defeat them all without getting punched.

Those with evil hearts, beware for out of the darkness comes.... THE GRAY GHOST.

The scene changed showing the title of the show: The Gray Ghost while hearing the sound of a woman screaming in horror.

"Oooohhhh." Everyone said in the theater enjoying the show while Johnny chuckled at their reaction.

Throughout some parts of the show, Hank, Pedro, and Wendy would often ask Johnny a lot of questions but he just told them to be silent and no talking while watching the show. Mavis was slowly understanding the plot of the show and started to enjoy it while Dracula has trouble catching up with the story. Johnny was mostly enjoying re-watching his childhood show, remembering the times he would wear the Gray Ghost costume and holding his Gray Ghost action figure while watching the show every night with his father, Mike.

After finishing a couple of episodes, everyone clapped from the outstanding show that they've watched.

"So what did guys think of the show?" Johnny asked his friends and family.

"Holy Rabies! It was awesome, Johnny!" Mavis exclaimed. "By the way, I still don't get it why he calls himself The Gray Ghost."

"Because he operates in the shadows and fights crime to protect the lives of innocent people." Johnny explained to his fiancée.

"He's really cool! Kinda reminds of that bat-guy in the village." Pedro said while looking at Dracula, who didn't notice.

"I'm sorry, what 'Bat-guy' are you talking about?" Melly asked not knowing what Mavis' friends are talking about.

"It's just this vigilante who dresses up as a bat we saw on TV. He's clearly beating up the bad guys. It's so cool!" Hank explained while Johnny and Alfred secretly looked at each other remaining to be silent during the conversation.

"Hey, how about we do something else tonight? Let's say... karaoke?" Kent asked in excitement.

"YEAH!" Johnny, Brett, and Melly yelled while the monsters had no idea what this 'karaoke' means.

"What's ker-okay?" Mavis asked curiously.

"Karaoke is a where you can sing your favorite songs. You can either do a solo or duet." Johnny explained.

"Holy Rabies! That sounds like fun!" Mavis exclaimed. She has been listening to human songs lately.

"Great! I've brought a karaoke radio in case we ever need it!" Johnny said while everyone heads out from the theater to set up the karaoke.

To be continued....
