What You Deserve

POV TOUYA

"You had us worried sick!" Kurogiri screams as I step through the front door. Spinner pushes me back by the shoulders, scowling at me.

"Where the hell have you been?" the lizard yells. "It's been weeks!"

"Out," I grumble. "Sorry."

"That's not a real answer," Kurogiri says, crossing his arms over his chest. "Dabi, you're grounded for the rest of the month."

"Grounded?" I echo. "You can't do that!"

"He totally can," Spinner says. "Grounded means you're on Toga duty, by the way."

"Ugh..." I groan, moping to the island counter. "You guys suck!"

"We're glad to have you back, Dabi," Kurogiri says, "but that was unacceptable. Go to your room."

"Whatever, mom!" I shout over my shoulder. I make it back to my room at the speed of a zombie and push the door open lazily. Toga sits on my bed, wrapped in my blanket, balling her eyes out. I close the door behind me and sit beside her. Before I can ask what's wrong, the blonde girl falls onto my shoulder, sobbing. "I HATE HER!" she screams. Gargling her tears, it sounds like, Toga continues to vent all about this girl who rejected her. "And sh-she called me weird, and a freak, and she said that I'm ugly! She told me she would rather date Mineta than go out with me! How could such a cutie be so EVIL?! IT'S NOT FAIR!" She kicks her legs around, squealing like the little teenage girl she is. "No amount of Girl In Red can help me."

"What are you talking about, Himiko?" I ask, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. Toga sniffles, wiping her snotty, tear streaked face on my white shirt. Lovely.

"You would know," Toga grumbles, "if you didn't go missing for a week and a half. Where were you at, anyways? I really needed you, Dabi! Nobody else ever wants to listen to how I feel. I tried to talk to Twice, but he can't take anything seriously. Mamagiri gave me a lecture, and Shiggy just made fun of me!"

"Well," I chuckle, "I'm here now, you air-headed blonde. Talk away. What was her name?"

"Ochako Uraraka," Toga hums, drifting into dream world. "Oh, she's lovely, Dabi! She's gorgeous and strong and smart! She has squishy pink cheeks and big brown eyes, and her smile is so adorable! She's fierce, too! You saw how she fought the boom boom boy at the sports festival! And she only got better from there."

"If she's so great," I scoff, "how'd she break your heart?"

"Well, you see, I went to go talk to her. I told her how much I loved her and admired her and I asked her to be my girlfriend... then she said all those mean things to me... she even called me a... she called me a faggot."

I stand up immediately; all I can see is red. "Where the fuck is she?!" I spat out. Toga tugged me back down, tears in her golden eyes. "Nobody calls my little sister a faggot besides me! Where the fuck can I find this little bitch?! I'm gonna kill her!"

"No, Dabi, shut up!" Toga whines. "She didn't mean it, I don't think. It's because I'm a villain. I understand. Villains and heroes don't mix."

Guilt starts to mix in my stomach, but I ignore it. How come I get a happy ending but Himiko doesn't? What the fuck is wrong with this world? "I'm sorry, blondie," I say, pulling her to my chest. "You don't deserve all the shitty stuff that happens to you. You're so strong, sometimes I forget you're just a kid."

"I'm sixteen," Toga grumbles.

"You're a child," I chuckle. "And I'm sorry all this awful stuff happens to you. It isn't fair." Toga nods, thanking me, just as Shiggy bursts through the door.

"I've got something to lift everyone's spirits!" he sings, prancing around the room. Toga and I glare at him, waiting for him to keep talking. "You won't believe it! My master just told me that I've got a little brother! Izuku Midoriya is the master's son! And we get to keep him!"

"You mean he's joining the league?" Toga squeals. "Yay! Izu, baby!"

"Well, he will be," Shiggy says. "You two have to go get him."
