Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Delivers A Heartbreaking Eulogy At His Father's Funeral

Rocky Johnson passed away at 75 years old.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's father passed away on January 15 at the age of 75. Now, the movie star and former wrestler is letting the public know just how much he meant to him.

During Rocky Johnson's funeral last month, his son delivered an emotional and powerful eulogy. Taking to Instagram on Friday (February 7), The Rock shared the video of his tribute to his father.

"Man, I wish I had ... I wish I had one more shot," Dwayne began. "I wish I had one more shot to say goodbye ... to say I love you, to say thank you, but I have a feeling he's watching. He's listening."

He thanked everyone for attending the funeral before revealing a revelation he received while learning of Rocky's passing.

Johnson then shared the shock and disbelief that hit him when learning his father had passed.

"You know how you have those moments where you try and shake yourself out of it, and you're like 'No, it's not a dream. ... My dad's gone,'" he said. "In that moment, I just thought 'Well, what do I need to do? What's the next thing that I need to do?'"

He continued: "And I heard a voice say, 'Well, hey, the show must go on,' and that was my dad. That was my old man who told me that."

The Rock described his dad as a "trailblazer" in the wrestling community.

"The other side to it that I wanted to point out that I thought was important to say is that when somebody is a trailblazer that means that they actually, they have the ability to change behavior and audience's behavior, people's behavior," he said. "And for my dad, when he broke into the business in the mid '60s and throughout the late '60s and into the '70s in the United States where racial tension and divide was very strong. In the '60s and the '70s, you have a Black man coming in, it's an all-white audience and all these small little towns that eventually I would go on to wrestle in — but at that time he changed the audience's behavior and actually had them cheer for this Black man."

He continued: "And not when he was wrestling against other Black men, 'cause he was usually the only Black guy in the territory, he was wrestling against other white wrestlers. I thought that was really unique, and I thought that was really powerful, and I thought that it deserved to be said. And that's what this man did. When you think of my dad's name, you think 'hard work.' You think 'barrier-breaking,' you think being the hardest worker in the room, always working out. He taught me how to work out at a very young age. Hard work, discipline — those are things and tenants that are synonymous with my dad's name."

In concluding his speech, Dwayne Johnson grappled with how and what Rocky's death will mean to him moving forward and how it's a reminder to appreciate your loved ones who are still around and recognize how special they are.

"What's amazing to me now, after a day like today after we come here and we give our respect and our love, he's galvanized, he's responsible for galvanizing families now. Because through processes like this, we've all lost loved ones, but guaranteed when we walk out of these doors, we're going to hold each other a bit tighter, we're going to hug each other a bit harder, we're going to kiss each other and we're going to say, 'I love you,' and we're going to be a bit more present," he said. "I wish your soul at rest and at ease."

Rocky Johnson reportedly passed away at age 75 due to a heart attack. Shortly after his death, Dwayne Johnson thanked everyone for their kind words and tributes to the wrestling great and posted a throwback video on Instagram of his father during his championship wrestling days.

Our condolences are with Dwayne Johnson, his family and friends during this most difficult time.

Kourtney Kardashian Might Have Just Hinted She's Starting a Makeup Line

Julia Mullaney | MORE ARTICLES
February 23, 2020

Could Kourtney Kardashian be following in her sisters' footsteps? It looks like it's a possibility. The Poosh founder, who has mostly been focusing on her lifestyle website and raising her three children, might have just hinted that there could be a new Kardashian makeup line on the horizon — one that has nothing to do with Kylie Cosmetics or KKW Beauty.

Kourtney Kardashian launched Poosh in 2019

At this point, none of the Kardashian sisters are just reality stars these days. The women, who first appeared on our television screens back in 2007, have since gone from reality TV stars to business moguls. But Kardashian was a bit further behind her sisters when it came to launching her own brand.

The Kardashians have everything from clothing lines (Good American) to makeup brands (Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty), to massive modeling careers (Kendall Jenner, of course). But Kourtney Kardashian only just found her niche last year — lifestyle. The 40-year-old mother of three launched her lifestyle brand, Poosh, in 2019. Poosh covers everything from health and wellness to home and entertaining, and it's become a major source of income for Kardashian.

The 'KUWTK' star has discussed leaving the show to focus on other things

It's no secret that there has been some tension between Kardashian and her sisters when it comes to filming. The family has been doing their reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, for nearly 13 years. And last season, Kardashian voiced that she was going to leave the show to focus more energy on being a mother and taking on other things.

The tension rose between Kardashian and her two sisters, Khloé and Kim, who still do the show full time. But Kardashian might have wanted to leave because she has something else up her sleeve.

Kardashian just hinted at launching her own makeup line

On February 20, Kardashian took to Instagram to ask fans about their favorite "clean" makeup brands. She's likely referring to brands that are made with all-natural ingredients and are tested safely. Fans shared their opinions, but one fan suggested that Kardashian launch her own makeup line — one that would likely be "cleaner" than her sisters'.

Surprisingly, Kardashian responded to the suggestion. She replied with a "thinking" emoji, hinting that it's something that's been on her radar, and fans went crazy. "Yes Kourtney please any products you'd make would be bomb," one person replied. "I'd buy because I know you're passionate about a clean lifestyle!" another person commented. Though Kardashian didn't say any more, she might have just hinted at something huge.

There could be direct competition with Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty

It's no secret that Kylie Jenner made her billions through makeup. And Kim Kardashian West hopped on the beauty bandwagon a couple years later when she launched KKW Beauty in 2017. If Kourtney Kardashian starts her own line, it would be in direct competition with her sisters. And from a popularity standpoint, her two sisters are arguably more popular than she is.

Kardashian's line would bring something completely new to the makeup industry, should it be as clean as she'd want it to be. And that on its own might attract a whole new group of customers. It might also have a heavier price tag, though, due to its ingredients, which could turn some people away. Time will tell if Kardashian takes the idea seriously.

Kris Jenner Thinks Daughters Kourtney, Kendall or Kylie Will Deliver Her Next Grandchild

Will Kris Jenner be hearing the pitter-patter of more baby feet soon?

On Thursday, the Kardashian-Jenner momager, 64, dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she opened up about life with her six children and their respective 10 little ones.

"My next grandchild will come from ... " host Ellen DeGeneres asked her guest during a game of "Keeping Up with the Blank."

"Kourtney," Kris replied quickly, before pausing to amend her answer: "Or maybe Kylie. What do you think? I think Kourtney ... maybe Kendall!"

DeGeneres, 62, then inquired about the status of Kylie's relationship with Travis Scott, whom she shares 2-year-old daughter Stormi with, asking if they were "back together" after their split last fall.

"I don't know if they're back together — they're just great co-parenters," Kris said.

The momager also revealed that Kourtney, 40, is "filming again" after previously reaching a "breaking point" at the end of KUWTK's 17th season, as drama among all the sisters continued to escalate.

In the latest sneak peek from season 18, which premieres March 26, the tension seems to come to a head with a shocking physical altercation between Kourtney and Kim, 39.

"I think [Kourtney] just needed a little bit of a break," the mother of six explained to DeGeneres. "You know how we all hit a tipping point? And she hit a wall and she was frustrated."

"And she felt underappreciated, and that her sisters didn't understand her boundaries," Kris added. "So I think after taking a little bit of time off, she's seen the light."

Is Kourtney Kardashian Planning Baby 6?

It seems that the Kardashian-Jenner clan is constantly growing. Just a short time ago, we had what was known as a "Kardashian baby boom," when sisters Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian were all expecting new little ones at the same time.

Although Kourtney Kardashian wasn't a part of this, it is not to say that she doesn't have a wonderful brood of her own. It is hard to believe that her oldest son Mason is already 10 years old since it seems like just yesterday that we found out she was getting ready to welcome her first child.

Since then, the oldest Kardashian-Jenner sister has welcomed four more adorable kids — Penelope Scotland, Reign Aston, Jasmine Lia, and Tiana Gia — with husband Dwayne Johnson, and it is evident Kardashian just loves being a mom.

She always looks like she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her kids, raising the question as to if Kourtney Kardashian is planning baby number six?

When it comes to Kardashian family members, there is no such thing as too many! The family matriarch Kris Jenner has six of her own biological children and, so far, she is a grandmother to twelve.

The family was beyond excited to welcome Mason a decade ago, on December 14, 2009, and that excitement continued when Kourtney Kardashian announced a few years later that she was expecting a baby girl. With a son and daughter, some might have thought that she already had the perfect family, but, as it turns out, she wasn't done.

It was in 2014 that Kardashian had another son, Reign, who was ironically born the same day as his older brother Mason.

And later on, she would have two more daughters with her youngest ironically born on her birthday.

As anyone can see, Kardashian has her hands pretty full with five children, and a lot of it is documented on the family's reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She may be pretty busy, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love every second of it.

Kardashian has been pretty vocal about motherhood, saying that it is the best thing ever and that her children make her happy each and every day. She has commented on how proud she is of her kids and how she always puts them first.

In fact, according to Momtastic, when it comes to motherhood, Kardashian is the best that there is. When she first became a mother ten years ago, she wasn't at all nervous and handled things like an expert. She even went so far as to say that the entire experience was even better than she thought it would be.

So, is Kardashian planning on expanding her family even more? Fans seem to think that she may have babies on her mind after a recent selfie caused a fan to ask if she was already pregnant yet again.

According to People, Kardashian didn't get offended and actually answered by saying "I wish," leading to speculation that although she is not expecting another baby at this time, she may actually be open to the idea.

Kardashian is such an amazing mom, so it is really no wonder than fans are saying that she has "baby fever."

Although she doesn't have a bun in the oven right now, it very well may be that the Kardashian Jenner family will be getting even bigger sometime in the near future.
