I've met a lot of psychopaths in my day, but none like her. There were always gonna be unsubs that you had to jump through hoops with, play their games until you can mess them up and then take them down.

But the damage she had been doing mentally to Spencer was beyond crazy. She was practically the devil.

Spencer had tried walking her through a scenario, one she got bored of very quickly.

"Let's speed this up," she stated as she slammed her hands on the table. She stood up and walked around to Spencer, placing herself in his lap.

I could tell that he was uncomfortable and even took notice of how his hands were nowhere near touching any place on her body. She started moving her hand up to his chest, trying to make herself as seductive as she could be in the ugly prison garbs.

"Out of all the pain I could have capitalized on, what did I pick? Was it the death of your mentor? SSA Jason Gideon?"

"No, because we found the man who killed him."

She started to move her face towards his ear, he lips dangerously too close. I knew I had no reason to feel jealous, but it wasn't fun to see another woman practically throwing herself at him.

"Or is it the guilt of not seeing Agent Morgan and his son."

"I was in prison."

"Yeah, but you had time before that," she spoke quietly in his ear.

"Truthfully, I was distracted. I was trying to figure out a way to help my mom. But I know that Morgan, Savannah, and little Bobby would understand."

Cat then got up and moved back to her seat. Spencer gave me a quick look back before returning his gaze towards her.

"Good job, Spence," I muttered as I pulled out my phone, dialing Rossi.

"What's up, Ariel?"

"So Cat has deep information on Spence. She knew about Gideon and Morgan leaving. But he tripped her up, he said the wrong name of Morgan's son and she didn't correct him."

"That would be in Spencer's personal file," Emily jumped in. "It would have relevant team information, but would withhold Morgan's son's name for privacy. Thanks, Ariel."

I hung up and returned my focus on Spencer and Cat. He was lost in thought, using as much of his brain power as he possibly could.

"What else would you not want me to admit?... Love."

She froze at his realization. If this bitch really wanted Spencer to admit that he was in love with her, I'd have to shoot myself in the foot.

"You want me to admit I'm in love with you, is that what this is about?"

You could tell she was angry with how pushy his statement was.

"Look, I love my fairytales as much as the next girl, but that's not why I did all this. I had Lindsey leave a clue for you in your mom's scrapbook."

The chromosomes? What was she getting at.

"I had to make sure I was positive. Well," she paused and placed her hands on her stomach. "Until I tested positive."

"Wait, you're pregnant?" I could tell he was confused. Frankly, so was I. How the hell did she get pregnant?

"Actually, we're pregnant."

My blood went cold at her words. I could see Spencer tense up as well.

"Mazel tov!" she said cheerily.

Even though an announcement like that brings joy to whoever hears them, this was far from a joyous occasion.

Back when I told Spencer I was first pregnant with Delilah, he was so happy that he started crying. He was excited and nervous and he couldn't believe that his world would be turning upside down in a matter of months.

But right now, he was confused and angry. I could tell he was trying to figure out all the logistics, begging for her to be wrong.

I turned to one of the guards and asked for Cat's medical records. When she brought me them back, I immediately searched for an answer.

And right there, a check for yes in the pregnancy portion of them form. She was three months along, lining up perfectly with Spencer's arrest.

I could feel my chest start to tighten. He was throwing questions at her, trying to trip her up and get the answer he was looking for.

"Ask me how I did it... C'mon, ask me."

He sighed before giving into her request. "How'd you do it?"

"I had Lindsey dose you in Mexico. You lost time, and I had very specific instructions to get you in the mood."

I almost felt sick to my stomach. Thinking about the fact that she got someone to drug my husband and do sexual acts to him made me physically ill.

I knew what it was like to be used like that without the power to stop it and she was going to pay for doing that to him.

"What, did she pretend to be you?"

"Why, would that have worked?" I could tell she was getting cocky, hoping that he would find her irresistible and that this little game of hers would help Spencer change his mind about his feelings for her.

He leaned forward and gave a stern "no". She smirked.

"I know. Trust me, I know exactly where I stand on the 'Spencer Reid: Hot or Not' scale."

She paused and gave him a devious grin. "I had her pretend to be Ariel. Ariel McKinley Reid. The poor woman you work with and took pity on after hearing how messed up of a childhood she had."

He was getting angrier by the second, I could tell. In that moment, I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind. The anger kept bubbling when she started to imitate my voice, probably mimicking how she got Lindsey to harass Spencer in that Mexican hotel room.

I could see Spencer starting to clench his fists as she kept talking.

"So if it's a boy, I want to name him Spencie Jr."

He started to walk away as she kept talking. "And if it's a girl, we should name her Ariel. It's only fitting since she was so important in her own conception!"

Spencer was by my side, looking at Cat through the glass.

"Spence, she's three months," I said timidly as I handed him the file. It was like my voice was caught in my throat. I didn't keep wanting to give him bad news, but I had to.

He took the file and threw it against the glass, causing me to jump slightly.

"Sorry, it's not you," he practically whimpered as he shoved his palm into his eye, trying desperately to probably stop a headache. "I need a moment," he spoke up again.

I nodded and walked out of the room, giving his arm a quick squeeze before I went to make a call to Emily.

The team was bouncing back and forth information and ideas, discovering that Cat and Lindsey may be in love. There was a pause and they asked me what I've learned. I wasn't ready for them all to here it, not just yet.

"Could you take me off speaker?" I timidly asked Emily. I could hear her walking to another place. "It's just us, what's up?"

I took a deep breath before I started. "Cat is pregnant and she says it's Spence's."

There was a pause before I heard the frustration of the person on the other end of the line. "Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?"

"I don't know whether to believe her. I mean if it's true, she sent Lindsey down there and she-" I cut myself off with a sob I didn't even know I was holding in. It was like admitting it out loud in that moment made it real.

"Or," Emily started to speak up. "There's a person on the inside that got her pregnant and that guy is how Cat snd Lindsey have been working together."

"But we don't know who that guy is, Em."

There was a pause before she spoke up again. "I have to call you back but Ariel, please hang in there. I know this sucks, but just know we're doing all we can and that the team has both of your backs."

"Thanks, Em." With that, I hung up. I had to quickly compose myself before I decided to walk back in there.

My brain was running a million scenarios on if she was right, if Spencer was really going to have a child with a serial killer.

Spencer and I had talked about having more kids, but not like this. Never in a million years did we imagine this.

Once I managed to calm myself down slightly, I walked back into the room, watching Spencer try and make sense of all this.

They were going back and forth, Spencer trying to figure out if that was the secret she wanted him to admit.

"Ya know, this kid already has a really smart older sibling. I'm sure young Delilah Reid would love to hear that she's becoming a big sister."

That was a big mistake on Cat's part. Delilah was damn near the most important thing in his life and he can't stand when people talk poorly about her.

"And guess what? Even my six year old would make a damn better mother than you. You would get bored of your child the same way a kid gets bored of a hamster. You're just using this kid to keep me here guessing. Which leads me to believe my mother's already dead."

As he started to get up and walk away, she started to worry. "Goodbye, Cat," he stated as he opened the door.

"I'll let you talk to her!"

Spencer gave me a smirk before he started to walk back into the room.

Checkmate, bitch.

Cat is such an interesting unsub, but we do not ship her and Spencer. Ew, no way. But the next chapter is probably the longest one in the story and we're getting closer and closer to the finale. Enjoy!
