The feeling of small fingers poking my cheek and the sound of hushed giggles pulled me out of my sleep. I slowly opened my eyes and was met with the sight of Spencer and Delilah smiling at me. "I'm on vacation, why are you waking me up so early?"

"We're moving grandma today, mom. We've got to get ready!"

I nodded and slowly rolled my way out of bed. It had been 2 weeks since Spencer had been back. The nightmares and panic attacks were still there, he just had them less frequently. He had been going to therapy and even joined Delilah for a few of her sessions with the social worker.

Today we were moving Diana into her new facility. We took for a visit and it was a really nice place. Diana was more excited about moving into the facility than Spencer. He was still worried, but Diana had assured him plenty of times that this was the right decision and that she would be okay.

After a quick breakfast, we grabbed Diana's remaining boxes and made our way to the facility. Delilah had jumped into her grandma's arms and was eager to help her set up her room. The nurses were already in love with her, Diana extremely proud to show off her granddaughter.

Before we left, Spencer and Diana had a moment alone. When they came back out to say goodbye, you could see the tears in both of their eyes. I made my way over to Diana, giving her a tight hug.

"Thank you for taking care of him," she whispered in my ear. "Thank you for raising such a beautiful son." She gave me another squeeze before we pulled apart.

Once we made it back home, I pulled Spencer into a quick hug. "I'm proud of you."

He nuzzled his face into my neck and placed a kiss by my collarbone.

"I think I'm getting a headache."

"Go lie down, I'll keep her quiet."

He nodded and made his way to the bedroom. His headaches aren't as bad as they used to be, but they were still rough to deal with. After being drugged, he was silently struggling with cravings again. He had been sober for so long and now he had to deal with fighting off the urges again, even though it was a different drug than the one he took all those years ago. The headaches had been a side effect of that.

Delilah stayed quiet, silently reading a book while I checked my emails. This wasn't the first time his headaches had silenced the house and Delilah was fine with sacrificing a few hours of noise if it meant it would help her dad.

The serenity was broken when the sound of glass shattering caused me to jump out of my seat. Delilah was in the kitchen, staring at the broken glass on the ground.

"Don't move, sweetie. I don't want you to cut yourself."

I grabbed the broom and started to sweep up the glass on the ground. I could hear Delilah start to sniffle next to me. Once the mess was cleaned up, I looked up and saw Delilah starting to breathe heavily.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm not mad, it's okay."

Her hands started to tremble and I quickly grabbed them. She shook her head as the tears continued to flow.

"Sweetie, what's wrong? Can you talk to me?"

"I'm sorry. He's gonna leave, I screwed up."

She had a few breakdowns like this when Spencer was away, worrying that her mistakes were what caused him to leave. The social worker had mentioned that breakdowns like this happened to kids all the time and that I just need to keep reminding her that we weren't going to leave her.

As I was trying to calm her down, Spencer walked in looking very worried. "What happened?"

"She dropped a glass."

Once she saw him, she ran into his arms. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry daddy, please don't leave."

He had a tight grip on her, trying to calm her down. This hasn't happened since Spencer came home, so he had never seen her this distraught.

"Dee, it's okay. You're okay. I'm not going anywhere."

"But you're hurting and I'm making it worse."

He placed a kiss on her temple, slightly rocking her back and forth. "My headache is gone. You aren't making things worse. In fact, you've made me feel so much better. I love you so much, sweetie."

Her breathing was slowing down and her sobs had quieted. I hadn't even noticed the tears in my own eyes, quickly wiping them away.

"How about a movie?" he suggested. "Lady's choice."

She pulled away slightly, rubbing her eyes as she thought. "Bug's Life?"

"Go set it up and I'll get the snacks." She nodded and made her way into the living room. He stood up and met my gaze.

"She hasn't had one since you came back. But they were all pretty much like that. I had to explain to her so many times that nothing that she could do or did do sent you away or would cause me to leave."

His head hung low. I could tell he was blaming himself for the change in his daughter's mental state.

"It's not your fault. The fact that she hasn't had one in weeks proves that it's not your fault. Don't put yourself down, okay?"

He nodded and gave me a quick kiss before we got some snacks and went to find out daughter. We were all snuggled up on the couch, Spencer sandwiched between his two girls. After a while, Delilah had fallen asleep and Spencer shifted his attention towards me.

"I have a proposition for you," he said with a smirk.

"Oh no."

"Don't worry, it's nothing crazy."

He pulled me closer to his side, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"You think your parents would mind taking her for a night so I can treat my beautiful wife to a nice evening?"

A blush crept up my neck and onto my cheeks. "Spencer Reid, are you asking me out on a date?"

"Yes I am."

"And why do I need our daughter out of the house for this date?"

He dropped his head, putting his mouth next to my ear. "I wouldn't mind taking her with us to a nice dinner, but it's what I'd love to do to you after that I don't need her to see."

As he bit lightly on my ear, I let out a giggle at what he was suggesting. "I can see what strings I can pull."

He smiled, placing another kiss on my temple. "As much as I love her, I just want you all to myself for a little while."

I nodded, leaning my head on his shoulder. After another moment of silence, he spoke up again.

"I have a meeting with some people at the Bureau tomorrow. They said I can start the reinstatement process."

I picked my head up to meet his gaze. Of course I wanted him back at the BAU, but I wanted him to feel ready before he did.

"You sure?"

"Positive," he said without hesitation. "I'm a little worried, but I think I'll be okay as long as you're there."

He sounded confident, meaning he had thought long and hard about this decision. Whatever he wanted to do, I would support him 100%.

"Okay. Whatever makes you happy." Our kiss was interrupted when we felt Delilah shifting beside us. "Are you guys done?"

We chuckled at her, Spencer starting to tickle her sides. "Someone wants all the attention I see." She started to laugh, begging her dad to stop his attack on her sides. "Stop! Get mom instead!"

He stopped and turned his head towards me, a grin similar to the cheshire cat on his face. "Oh no."

"Get her!" Delilah yelled as they both started to tickle me. We spent the rest of our night laughing and cuddling, the sad events of the day leaving our minds.

The next day, Spencer had his meeting at Quantico. After some back and forth, I had managed to pawn off Delilah to my parents for the evening. When he came back, he had explained that the process had begun and if all went well, he would be reinstated by the time the team's mandatory leave had been up.

The whole time we were getting ready for our date, Spencer wouldn't tell me what he had planned. No matter how many times I bugged him, he wouldn't give it up.

After dropping off Delilah, Spencer drove us to a nice Italian restaurant. While the food here was good, we could both agree that the best Italian meal came from one David Rossi.

We had a nice night. Our conversation never seeming to dull and plenty of touches and quick kisses were shared between the two of us. There was no talk of work or prison or anything negative. I could tell that this night had been good for him.

The second we made it home and closed the door, his lips were on mine. He kissed me like he was a starving man. His hands trailed down to my hips and with a quick motion, he had moved us to the couch.

I pulled away slightly, taking a quick breather. "As much as I love this, I don't want to have sex on the couch."

"Why not?" he breathed out between kisses. "We used to all the time."

"I don't want to deal with the possibility of our daughter finding bodily fluids on the couch."

"Fair point." He picked me up and carried me to the bedroom, the both of us giggling like high schoolers.

He dropped me down gently and started kissing along my neck, my hands immediately going to his hair.

We broke apart, staring at each other in the dim light.

"Spence, we don't have to do this if you're not ready. I understand."

One thing we didn't really talk about was what Cat revealed Lindsey did to him in Mexico. He told me he remembered bits and pieces of that moment, but it was hazy. It took me a while to get intimate with Spencer and he was extremely supportive and patient. I just wanted to do the same for him.

He gave me a smile, moving a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"I trust you... And I know you're never going to hurt me."

I placed my hand on his cheek and he melted into my touch, turning his head and placing a kiss on my palm.

"Now can I make love to my beautiful wife?"

We both giggled and I gave him another kiss. "What are you waiting for, Dr. Reid? Let's get these clothes off."

He gave me another mind-blowing kiss as he reached his arm around to unzip my dress. Spencer showed me exactly how much he loved me that night.

We are approaching the end of the story :( But don't worry, I've got something else in the works!
