Alexis was sobbing like a crazy pregnant woman going on and on of how he lost his wife when a realization hit him...it was his fault everything that happened was all because of him.

He cheated on his own wife all because he felt that she was a closed off book and even if he knew that she was afraid of getting married to a total stranger .If he wasn't a coward he would have found a better way to have her get comfortable with him instead of being the arms of another woman,his secretary for that matter.

His secretary was a great woman at the time ,and like a fool he thought she loved him and that's why he gave in and tried to work things out but that still didn't work since his stupid mistake that night gave him a beautiful son.

That night he did not regret anything .Addy of course was hurt after he foolishly called Bridget and he realised that was also one of his mistakes.

He was drunk but sober enough to remember how sexy his Addy was in short pajama shorts and that flimsy T-shirt that showed her hard nipples when he kissed her.And he sure as damn well knows she was a virgin which was also why his cowardice showed as he felt guilty for taking her innocence that way.

Maybe he should just go to her and apologise but first he had to find a way to deal with Bridget who had threatened him .

It was not because of sympathy that he bailed her out but Bridget knew a lot of his secrets and even his birth story which would leave his parents devastated and probably in a coffin.

The fact that his father had an affair with his  secretary and had him was enough to have his family in coffins.His sister would probably have a nervous breakdown and he just couldn't deal with that.In all honesty his mother or to be precise his father's wife who was the one who raised him loved him as if he was hers.

He was not hurt or anything like that because sometimes men do crazy things and at that time his father was a cold ruthless man .He did hurt a bit when he found out his biological father passed away due to cancer but he was still grateful to have had Ethan Mathews be his father.

All he needed was to have something on that witch and his life would be ok ...and then he would apologise to Addy for all the damage he had done.

He would not be petty or angry with that man that makes her happy.If he takes care of Addy better than he ever did then he was ok with their relationship.

He got himself cleaned up and went to pick Thomas up.

As soon as he got at Addy's house he felt happy and he knew where his heart was .Addy was always going to be his home .

He knocked and waited until Addy let him in.For a minute he stood there gawking at her beautiful sexy long smooth legs .Why was she even wearing shorts it wasn't even hot.

"Are you gonna come in ?"Addy frowned at his expression and he realised he had not entered and was staring at her with his mouth open.

"Yeah sure.Is Thomas up ?"He needed a distraction fast before he did something he would be sorry for.

"No.He just went to sleep ,did you come to pick him up?"He knew she was still angry even if she was being civil with him.

"Yes,Should I come back later ?"He wished that she would tell him to stay ...he just wanted to be near her.

"You can wait for him if you want to.I don't really mind Alexis ."With that she went to the kitchen to prepare dinner and like a love sick puppy he followed her and watched as she expertly moved around her kitchen while he ogled at her body more like her legs.

"How far along are you ?"She turned towards him with her cute hair falling over her face which she kept blowing off.

"Far along with what?"She is a bit weird ...what pregnant woman wouldn't know how to answer that question

"With your pregnancy?"He watched her go from a red blush to a pale colour

"I...uh...the thing is ...well I just found out so I'm not sure."She abruptly turned around abruptly and almost knocked the pot off the stove.

"Are you okay?"He rushed over to her and turned her towards him and checked whether she had any injuries or not.

"I ...Alexis would you move please?"He was so entranced by her eyes that he stood there staring at her ...imprinting her face into his mind.

"Alexis!What are you doing?" Her loud voice brought him back to reality.

"Sorry about  that."he knew he was not sorry for falling in love with her .He was sorry he screwed everything up with her.

"I think I will go check on Thomas and then you two can eat then head home."

Maybe he should just apologize and get everything off his shoulder .

"Addy I need to talk to..."

"If it isn't Alexis Mathews I'll be damned ." Bridget was here in her house ,what if she tells Addy everything ?He had to get her out before Addy came back.Why is this woman trying to ruin his life?
