I feel so overwhelmed right now.

With that rather surprising call with Keigo, my thoughts have started to spiral. I am going to be a dad again! I mean, I never thought that would be possible with Keigo on his T-shots but it happened! I have another chance to see my child grow up! I missed so many important moments with Kai, but now I have another chance! I get to be a father again.

And then my excitement falters, as I remember the situation we are about to face. We are in the midst of a war and right now, the uncertainty and threat that is All For One hangs over our heads. My resolve steels at this moment. I am getting out of this alive. There is no way that I will be denied the life that I am envisioning right now with my love and my children.

It is almost go-time.

“Pheonix-san,” Best Jeanist calls out to me. “It’s time. They are gonna let us know our roles in the upcoming battle.”

I follow the man as we walk into the room where Shouto, Broccoli boy and the rest of the class 1-A stand waiting for us. Other pro-heroes are surrounding us, waiting for the call with Aizawa to link. Shouto notices me and walks towards me, stopping next to me.

“Is everything alright Nii-chan?”

I contemplate telling him what I’ve just learned. He is gonna be an uncle again and I know he has been very protective of Kaito, and was the one of the few who kept training with him when Keigo and I had been out hunting villains after Kai had shifted to U.A. Shouto looks at me curiously as I think and I sigh as I finally let the news out to him.

“You’re gonna be an uncle again.” I scratch my neck nervously as I say.

I am taken aback, as I see the huge grin that has now framed his face. I see joy in his eyes and excitement on his face. I chuckle and smile as he lets out excitedly.

“What?! Really?! I am gonna be an uncle again?!” He hugs me and my heart fills with love at my brother’s reaction. The usually stoic, emotionless Shouto was now excitedly running back to his friends to spread the news. His friends look at him in surprise as well, I guess no one expected this side of him.

This is what I have to protect. This is why I absolutely cannot let anything fall into ruin. This happiness that I and the people who I love hold, that cannot be taken from us. As Aizawa finally connects and explains his plan, I stand determined, a silent promise is made to keep the ones I cherish safe.

O little one who yet has to experience the joys of the world, I promise to be your guide. My brave son, I promise to eradicate all the evil, so that you can live a life of freedom and discover yourself. My love, I hope to come back to you safe and sound, so that we can finally have the happily ever after we have always envisioned.

I play with the box that has been lying in my pocket for who knows how long as we make our way to the battle center.

As Greenie makes the first move with Aoyama, the war starts.

All For One appears at the site where we decided to lure him and through the cameras that were set up around the area, we see the green bean and sparkle boy act out according to the plan. I know our chance to attack is close and I send a message to Keigo, on a last moment whim.

I love you. Wish me luck. Keep our little ones safe and stay out of trouble. I’ll be back soon.

I barely hear the ping signaling the message being sent, when Monoma or the Phantom Thief finally opens the portals after stealing the quirk from Kurogiri.

The chaos that ensues after all of that is humungous.

All For One plays his own cards, as all the villains who were able to escape us when we had been rounding up the escapees from Tartarus spill out from the sludge portals he makes. I see some familiar LOV faces, but ignore them as the Monoma works his magic again and we are all split up to our designated battle arenas. Shouto and I are with the angry Pomeranian, and we are facing Shigaraki. Broccoli kid was supposed to be with us, but somehow he got sucked into the wrong portal due to the fact that Monoma’s control over the portals is still lacking. As Eraser uses his quirk on Handsy McGee, Phantom Thief locates Deku and finally the kid appears and takes him down, as I myself defeat some of the villain stragglers trying to get in their way.

We all look at the sixteen-year-old kid in awe as he somehow absorbs Shiggy’s quirk and the Gamer boy falls onto the ground, his hair black, as he loses his quirk.

All For One makes his way to where we are.

“Midoriya Izuku.” His voice booms over us. “You have defied me for too long.”

“Come and get me then, you piece of shit.” Greenie hisses back at him. I’m positive I see blood pour from the angry Pomeranian’s nose at that.

The fight that follows next is glorious.

Shouto, I and the angry Pomeranian support Greenie as All For One goes on the offensive. As my flames distract the old Alien Face, Deku gets in his own hits. The battle barely lasts a few minutes, but it feels longer. I pant in the end, Shouto supporting me as I try to stand on my possibly broken leg, and we see Deku land the last hit. All For One finally falls and a roar of voices can be heard for miles as all of us survivors cheer at our victory.

"Oh Fuck, this hurts." I grumble, cradling my injured leg.

I am still at the flying fortress where we fought and Recovery Girl shows up to patch up our injuries with a few other healers. Deku is unconscious, no doubt due to the effect of absorbing so many quirks from All For One and he is tended directly by Recovery Girl. As we sit waiting to go back home, I notice the other guy who helps heal the other heroes. As his hand brushes past their injuries the skin immediately heals up and with what I can deduce, even the internal injury. I strike up a conversation with him as he comes to check on me.

“So how does your quirk work?” I ask as he sets to heal my broken leg.

He nervously smiles at me as he explains. “My quirk basically can create organic matter. It can also take already existing organic matter and can alter the DNA within it to change it to something else as well. Very handy for healing and creating organ tissue.”

An idea pops into my mind. “Wait, so for instance, could you change the anatomy of a person?”

“Yes, sort of. It's difficult to change a person fully, but works on small areas.”

I smile as I realize that I may have another gift for Keigo.

“Can I get your name and number?” I ask and he nods, inputting his number in my phone under the name of Aiuchi Daisuke.

Now for the thing that I have been thinking about doing for such a long time. It had been when I was training under Eraser that I had enlisted his help in getting the very thing that lay in the box in my pocket. I had been waiting to do it for a long time, hoping that I would have had the chance after the war with the Paranormal Liberation Army. But luck had not been on our side yet  and I had wanted to make sure that every future threat to us had been taken out before I could make the promise I wanted to make with Keigo. So now, as we travel back, I decide that the moment I see Keigo, I would do it. My anticipation grows as we finally make our way towards U.A.High.

As our helicopter lands finally, Keigo and Kaito, who are waiting for me, surge forwards to envelop me into a hug. The egg is in a Phoenix blanket and Kaito is holding it. Keigo kisses me and as Kaito watches us, I suddenly bend down, one knee up, holding Keigo’s hand. Keigo’s eyes widen.

“Touya? What are you doing?” he asks, his voice trembling as it registers what I am about to do. Kaito at this point knows and he’s almost jumping in excitement as I start to speak. Shouto, 1-A and the rest of the heroes watch on.

“Keigo, Baby Bird, my love.” I say. “I dunno what I must have done in a past life, for I fucking got to be so lucky to have found you in this one.” He starts to tear up. “You are my solace and you have been the rock I needed to lean on all this time. Because of you I have a wonderful son and I’m about to be a dad again. I know we went the unconventional route, but now I think it's finally time."

I remove the velvet box out of my pocket, and open it, showing him the two similar rings nestled in it. His ring has a blue sapphire and mine has a red ruby on silver bands. He looks at the two rings and his other hand reaches for the box and I let him take it, as I finally ask.

“Will you, Takami Keigo, accept me, so that I can become Takami Touya?”

I grow nervous as Keigo seems to stare at me quietly and dazed, and it takes Kaito’s nudge for him to register that it is happening.

The crowd around us whoops as he finally nods, and wears the ring meant for him.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” he says and I stand and take my fiancé into my arms kissing him.

With Kaito and our future child nestled within our arms, that’s how we fell asleep that night.
