Recap...

"Yes," I say. Adonis smiles. He should smile more often, he looks really cute. "Can we go in now?" I ask. "Of course μωρό (baby)." he says before opening the door and carrying me out. 

Kiera:

He puts me down only when we get into the elevator. "You didn't have to carry me in like that," I say slightly pouting. He smirks and says "You can punish me for that later if you'd like." I just blush making him smirk even more. I roll my eyes and wait for the elevator to stop at the apartment. Why is it so slow? It eventually does stop and we walk out into the apartment. 

Adonis leads me to the living room and what I see shocks me. "Tony," I yelled running towards him and trapping him in a hug. He hugs me back laughing. "I missed you too," he says. Adonis clears his throat from behind me as he sits down in a chair. "Calm down, Tony is just a good friend," I say not moving away from him. "I know, I'm just reminding you I'm here," Adonis says huffing. Cute. After a while, I get up and ask "Where are the twins?" "Follow me," Tony says. 

He leads me to the room I stayed in and Adonis follows entering behind us. I walk straight over to the cribs and notice only Alina is here, the other crib is empty. Panic rushes through me instantly. "Everett was crying a lot last night and this morning and we were tired so someone offered to take care of him," Tony says making me calm down a little bit. I pick up Alina and say "Take me to him." Tony nods and leads me to another room, I'm assuming Adonis's. As soon as he opens the door I see the last person I expected. 

"Santo," I say walking towards him. He smiles and says "When we were all evacuated a separate guard took me here instead of the house I used to live in." Answering my silent question. I sit down next to him and look at Adonis. We agreed that Santo was innocent, in fact, he was the only Ricci in the mafia that wasn't going to be killed. Adonis's plan was always to evacuate Santo but it definitely wasn't going to be here. "I was so worried for you," Santo says. I look back towards him and say "I'm ok now, that night Adonis was the reason I wasn't found. He protected me." He nods smiling. "He good for you," he says so only I can hear. How did he know we were together?

"Let's leave Kiera alone with the twins," Tony says. Santo nods and lays Everett down on the bed carefully before leaving and closing the door behind him. Adonis stays though. I look at him and he looks concerned staring at Everett. Everett moves a little and Adonis looks even more concerned. "Adonis come here," I say. "Sit," I say and he sits down very slowly near Everett. I get up to stand in front of him and ask "Do you want to hold Alina for me?" "What if I hurt her?" he asks. I laugh. "You're not going to hurt her, it's ok," I say. He relaxes slightly and allows me to place Alina in his arms and show him how to hold her. 

After I go over and pick up Everett so he doesn't have to worry about him falling anymore even though he wouldn't have. Adonis visibly relaxes when I do this. We just sit there for a while holding the twins. This is what true peace feels like. "We should get them home soon," Adonis says. "I agree," I respond and we walk out. We find Santo and Tony in the kitchen and I ask "Can you guys help us get the baby stuff to our car?" Santo nods and leaves and Tony says "Let me just go get Elli." I wonder who Elli is? "Elli is the reaper," Adonis says as if reading my mind. Oh yeah. Who would've guessed Tony would get involved with the Australian mafia? 

I decided to sit down and take a break  I feel so tired after today, I can't wait to be home. Tony comes in a few minutes later with Elli. "We'll leave you two alone to talk while we get everything in the car," Adonis says. Elli comes over and sits next to me. Now that she's this close she looks very familiar. She has chocolate brown hair, dark brown eyes, beautiful freckles and heart shaped lips. Definitely not who you expect to be anywhere near threatening until you look downwards.

She has defined muscles and multiple tattoos. She may be petite in her build but you can tell she can hold her own. It's only when I notice the birth mark on her hand that I realize where I met her.

Flashback

The door creaks open and sir walks in. I don't even know how long I've been here anymore. My heart rate picks up as he grabs chains and walks towards my bed. My throat is dry and my stomach is empty. I haven't had anything to eat or drink for awhile which only adds to my panic. He clamps the final cuff down and I'm left even more defenceless than before. Completely powerless.

The feeling of being powerless and out of control is something you can never forget. It's something I feel every time I see him. He finishes for the last time after hours. He moved me into multiple positions and I decided not to fight back. If I do it may be longer until I can drink or eat. He controls my needs based on how well I behave. Eventually he leaves me alone. I'm bleeding. I know that. But I'm to broken to care.

I wake up to the door creaking open again. This time there's light coming from the outside. I look up as the door is shut and notice a girl around my age. She's really pretty looking surface level. But looking closer I notice the bruises. The bite marks. The cuts. The pain in her eyes. She walks towards me holding a box and setting down at the edge of the bed.

"I was sent here to take care of your wounds," the girl says reaching into to box to get a first aid kit. She comes towards me and starts cleaning and dressing my wounds. Some that I didn't even notice. Despite my entirely dry throat I manage to croak out "W.. Wh...Wh...Who..are...y...you?" The girl walks back towards her box and pulls out a bottle of water. She twists it open and puts it up to my lips to drink. I try to hold it myself but I realize I'm still chained up.

I drink greedily until the bottle is empty and she puts it back into the box. She continues to tend to my wounds quietly. "Who are you?" I ask again. She looks at me deciding if she should speak or not. Eventually she does "I can't tell you that, you can call me E." "Did he take you to?" I ask. She just nods and whispers so I can barely hear her "1 month ago." She looks terrified and I know why. If sir finds out she told me this he'll probably hurt her badly.

I decide not to ask her anything else so I don't risk her safety anymore. She unchains me and gives me food before she gets up to leave. Before she opens the door she pauses and says "You'll be going home tomorrow." Giving me a small smile she shuts the door leaving me alone.

Flashback over

I only met her once but that memory stuck with me. I always wondered what happened to her. She was the only prisoner I actually talked to my entire time there. I'm glad she got out. Just to confirm my theory I look towards Elli and ask "E?" She smiles sadly and nods.
