Recap...

I continue thinking about everything that's happened while trying to process everything. A lot happened recently. I should probably just bury it. That'd be better right?

Kiera:

I wake up to the stream of light illuminating my bedroom. I slowly open my eyes and stretch. I didn't have any nightmares last night which is odd. Yesterday I could understand but today as well. I rarely ever sleep with no nightmares let alone 2 days. Maybe that's a good sign? It could mean that I'm mentally healed but that's just wishful thinking. I have bigger problems to worry about now.

I check the time when I get into the bathroom. 7:30. I do my routine and get dressed in the spare pair of clothes the doctor gave me and leave my room. Once I'm almost to the kitchen I'm welcomed with the smell of french toast. I enter the kitchen and see a lady placing food on two plates. She places the plates on the table as I walk in and looks up. "Good morning," she says and motions for me to sit. I sit and she does "Good morning, who are you?" I ask her. She's nice but it is odd waking up to see someone you don't know making food.

"I'm Adonis's mother, you can call me Maria," she says and smiles. I smile back. "It's nice to meet you Maria," I reply before starting to eat. I forgot that she was coming today. Once we finish I help her clean up and we leave to go to the mall.

We spent the entire day together shopping and talking. Maria's a kind lady. She was so easy to talk to. We bought a lot of clothes that I'm now putting away. It's enough to fill the entire closet. Afterwards I do my routine and go to bed. I'm exhausted after today.

Adonis:

"We'll attack them at the Christmas ball in 1 week. I don't want to waste any more time," I tell my most trusted men. "We'll have 6 groups surrounding the building and 2 inside the building. There is a list of people I want evacuated before we attack, we will keep them out of the building and away from the attack. Our main priority is getting rid of the Ricci's, the Ivanov's, and the Kings. I want everything to run smoothly, you understand?" I say and hear replies of "yes sir" from my men before I continue. "We'll start planning today, Mya will explain our plans to you," I say and leave.

After briefing my men Nico and I go back to my office. I sit down at my desk and start working. "Are you ok?" Nico asks. I look up and ask "Yes, why wouldn't I be?" "Because, I know you care for her. I understand if you're in pain after hearing what she went through," he says. I will never say it out loud but I do care about Kiera. I just can't get to close, and I've already done enough. She deserves a good man and not a Mafia man. "This is business, and I don't think it matters how I feel about what happened to her. No one should go through that torture and I don't think it's right for me to be in pain, after all Kiera went through that. I'm not someone who should be hurting, I just want to make her hurt less." I respond truthfully. Kiera's the one that has to live with the pain, so why should I take away from that and worry more about my feelings? It hurt seeing her in so much pain and I just want to take it away. Even though she's a Ricci, she's nothing like them. She was a victim of them more than she was ever family. "I understand, we'll get revenge for her. Maybe you should tell her about it? She may want the deliver the final blow," Nico says as he leaves.

Unknown POV:

While Adonis works in his office and Kiera sleeps the Ricci's are falling apart. Allessandro is working tirelessly to find Kiera. He believes it's in her best interest. The Ivanov's are as well. Alexei especially. He decided Kiera was the perfect girl for him and once her finds her again he'll never let her go again.

The Kings are helping as well, although they're still focused on their search for the reaper. Little do they know they're looking in all the wrong places for me. They're not even close.

The rest of the Mafia world is unaware of what is happening but they will soon. The night Adonis attacks will be the night he unknowingly changes our world. It will be a good change, hopefully.

I leave the warehouse and head back to my hotel room before any of them can notice I'm there. My phone rings as I drive and I pick up "Hello?" I answer. "Hello baby, how's it going over there?" Tony asks. "It's good, Kiera's safe now. How are the little ones?" "That's amazing news, the kids are good they went to bed a few hours ago." He responds. That's good news. I have a soft spot for those babies. I wish Kiera could have raised them but she made a good decision. "That's good, I'm almost to my hotel and we can FaceTime" I tell him. "I can't wait to see you," he says making me blush. He's the only one that can do that to me. "I think you should be able to see Kiera sometime after the ball, Adonis has a good plan" I inform him. "That's great! She'll be so happy to have Alina and Everett back" he says. "I love you," I say. "I love you too, see you soon," he says before hanging up.

I continue driving until I reach my hotel. Soon this should all be over, I just hope Adonis will win the war to come.
