Villainous

"Its only for a couple minutes" the commissioner assured

"Ok, then I'm on route" I hang up before groaning.

It's my fucking day off and she's pulling me in for a training thing?? She won't even share details! I just want to relax!

I grumble but get up before heading into the hero commission HQ. I smile and wave as I pass people keeping it friendly.

Finally when I get to the training room I'm surprised to see a younger kid in there as well.

"Whats this about?" I raise a brow

"This will only take a second Hawks. Now take this file" she shoved the file in my hands.

"Ok but what is-"

She ignored me going to the kid, "Remember, just use it at half power ok kid?"

Does she really think I'm that weak that I can't take a kid? What the fuck. I go to open the file but she glared.

"You can look at the file once you're on the other side"

I scoff, "Then are you gonna explain?"

The kid nervously came up to me. I only felt his hand for a second before a bright light enveloped everything, "Fuck, was that a flash bomb" I rub my eyes

When I open them I realise I'm not in a training ground any longer. I'm in a fucking forest. That's it, reading the file.

I open to start to skim. Though everything comes together pretty quick. I've been moved to another dimension. Oddly enough I get to live and die here yet after my death only a single second will have passed in my dimension. I will return to my original body just fine.

More importantly I was sent here on a mission. In anticipation for a spy mission I have but 1 set of orders, integrate into the culture here without issue and become villainous.

The bigger the better as they put it. They wish to assure I can really handle my next mission and they will give me a lifetime of experience for it.

So step 1, find out about the land.

So far, trees. Lots and lots of trees. The coverage is too thick for me to take to the skys, not to mention I don't know what kind of population of people live here. They could see me flying as a threat.

Eventually I'd figure I'd find a town. Though I stumble across something much more interesting.

I peer around the tree when I notice what looks to be a woman. The people here look humanoid. Yet looking further I notice her fingers are pitch black. Almost stained looking as it fades into her hand.

She sat in a small clearing with a bowl infront of her while she mixed different plant materials into it. I wanted to approach but observing would be best.

And observe I do. She's...beautiful. She's like something out of a fairytale. A beautiful woman sitting in a meadow. The flowers around her would be better if she wasn't tearing them apart for various pieces.

I noticed metallic gold tips on her fingers that stuck out past her nails almost like an acrylic nail. She used these to pinch at material or to rip the flora apart. Her own set of golden claws.

Once she seemed satisfied she pulled a Waterpouch from her hip. An extention of the nosel disconnected in its own small container that she stored the concoction into.

I quickly realise it must strain into the water. Once closed up she shook it before opening to take a long drink.

Is it tea? All that for some tea?

She set her hand in the grass and plants suddenly sprouted from the ground all beneath her feet. The clearing becoming a meadow of flowers.

It was that moment I realised my mistake when she got up and started to walk towards me. I tried to hide better but saw vines had entangled my feet.

She came up to me wearing a cold look. When she spoke though it was a completely different language.

I shake my head, "I can't understand you"

She looked slightly shocked but intrigued. She stared at me for a few long moments before grabbing my visor off my face inspecting the material.

She spoke again with a quizzical look but pocketed my visor. Is this a mission failure? I was supposed to blend in with the population but how the hell can I do that if I can't speak the fucking language?

She pointed to herself speaking again. It wasn't till she third time it clicked.

"You're Y/N"

She nodded and pointed at me. Shit, should I go Hawks? Or can I be Keigo here? In my split second decision I said it, "Keigo"

She tested the name and nodded before motioning me to follow.

The vines were no longer at my feet and I followed carefully. I tried to take my time to watch the environment. The land wasn't wildly different from that of my world trees were trees. Moss and mushrooms.

She was the most interesting thing around. Flora continued to spring up at her every step. She had wooden beads woven into her hair and the soot like blackness at her fingertips.

The golden nail tips caught the light making me think even more of claws.

We made it to a small cottage where she brought me inside. Various herbs hung about drying. She was quick to start collecting ingredients. I could really only watch knowing my questions couldn't be answered.

She finally seemed satisfied 10 minutes later with a fine pink powder. She poured some odd gel before mixing and taking some on her hands.

She then motioned me to approach. Well. If I die I die I guess?

She gently took my head in her hands smearing the gel behind my ears and down the column of my neck. It was cold at first but her hands were warming it up as she rubbed it in.

"Now can you understand me?" She spoke clearly

"What the hell?" I mumble only to realise I am also speaking in a different language

"Good good" she hummed wiping her hands off on a nearby rag, "Now we can communicate. Your clothing is quite odd, where are you from?"

"Im a traveler, I doubt your maps have my land on them" not quite a lie

"Does all your people have wings?"

"Not particularly"

"Could it be a sign of noble blood?"

That sounds good, "Yes actually" I preen

"So what are you doing all the way out here?"

"I wish to experience the world" I shrug

"Without the knowledge of it?" She raised a brow

"Never said I was smart"

She hummed and started going through drawers, "Well I have offered my services. Unfortunately I can't let you just wonder off so you will need to pay off your debt. I am right to assume you have none of this lands currency?"

I chuckle nervously, "Got me there"

"Well then we'll trade. You can stay the night plus the language service. In return I want you to chop a pile of wood for me as well as give me your current attire. I'll give you some thing more suitable to the culture of this land"

"I appreciate this greatly" Oh thank fuck. This woman is an angel

"Don't thank me, this is a trade. I owe you nothing as you owe me nothing" she shoved a different set of clothes in my arms. It's all leathers, furs, and cotton.

"Yes maam"

That day I spent chopping wood. In the evening she set out a place for me to sleep. I almost couldn't though far too distracted. She sat at a desk with a single candle. She wrote on paper but instead of using a pencil or quill she used her ring claw.

In the morning she pointed me in the direction of the nearest town with a small pouch of coin.

That was supposed to be the last I saw her.

The town was one connected to a castle. I quickly found out those with wings didn't exist. And what more was corruption was in the kingdoms crown.

I found evil to be easier than I thought. Feathers steal purses and I can escape any guard. The real hit was when I met a group of resisting rebels who wanted to take the crown to its knees.

Joining them was easy. Their symbol being a bird similar to a Robin they saw me as a man sent by the gods themselves and I reveled in it.

The advantage I got was nearly overpowered in this land. It made my conquer of it all the sweeter. In 3 short years I helped slaughter the royal family and take the throne.

Tyrannical rule was the most villainous I could think of. I executed anyone who stood against me and expanded my lands.

It was today when I sat upon my throne in the coliseum, that I of course had built for my entertainment, that I was pulled from the bloodlust I was living off of.

A woman stood tied to a stake in the center. Her looks scratched my brain. Something about...her. As the lions released it finally clicked. The woman from the woods. Of course, how could I forget!

"Stop the lions" I order my men.

"But sire, she's a witch-"

"Did I stutter" I raise a brow

My men were quick to force the beasts back to their pens while I took my time descending to the field.

She's not changed much. But seeing her here is odd. I remember that day vividly. The warmth of summer and her warm hands on me. She was slightly cold but still beautiful despite the expression.

Back then I gave her my hero outfit and in return I got hide and cotton clothing that helped me blend in.

Now I wear even more quality furs. My boots are thick and armor thicker. As I step out into the field all I can hear is my footsteps in the snow.

She hasn't changed much at all. Though she does look a bit tattered. She gave my men one hell of a fight.

Her eyes burned into mine. If she could set fires with her mind this whole place would be ash.

"Calm youself" I chuckle

She spit at my feet, "Says the man who wasn't nearly eaten alive"

"I called them off" I scowl at the pink hue from her spit. She's bleeding.

"For what wicket reason" she glared

"I admire you. You saved me years ago, I wish you repay you"

She stared me down seeming not to recognize me. Though I don't have my wings. I prepare to summon them when her hair shifts with her look. One of my red feathers was weaved into her hair.

I contain my pleased expression before calling my feathers to me. My wings in full view of the public, a rare sight since I took to keeping them out of the cold this time of year.

The fire in her eyes didn't waver as recognition passed her, "I see"

I get ready to respond when a hear a sudden snap. Her claws were at my throat in an instant. One move and I'm dead. Though if she kills me, I hear my men ready their arrows.

"Looks like I gotta clean up my mess then" she seethed

"Oh, how scary, you know if you kill me you will die as well?" I roll my eyes

"Worth it to end what I appearently started"

"Is it though?" I smirk, "Marry me"

She faltered at that, "W-what?"

"I said, marry me. Be my empress"
