Hawks POV

I sat on my bed at home, looking at the papers that Mrs.Evelyn had gave me.

~Man, how did Mrs.Evelyn figure I was going to visit Y/n today?~
~But was she wrong..?~

Maybe I shouldn't go right now. I would seem desperate or something but I really want to see how she's doing. I mean there shouldn't be a problem, im just checking on her.

My thoughts were interrupted by a call. It was from Mirko.

I picked up, "What is it, Mirko?"

She said, "Man, see if I ever call you again! Did you go visit her yet?"

"Visit who? Y/n? Why does everybody keep saying that?"

Mirko said, "Oh~~ so the love signal was made by more than one? Get up and visit her."

I said, "Mirko, we worked together ONE time and now you're trying to give me relationship advice."

Mirko said, "So it's a relationship?"

I could feel her smirk on the other side of the phone.

I said, "Mirko, did you call me just to-"

She interrupted,"No, I did not call to bother you. I just wanted to see if you were good. I mean, you are the one who went to aid Y/n, right? Must've been hard to see her like that."

I paused and said, "Yeah...but im fine."

I thought about it for a minute and said, "You're right...Ima go see her."

"Ight, when you ask her out make sure you say, 'sweetheart'!"

I said, "sweetheart? Asking out!? Mir-"

She hung up the phone and I shook my head.

~30mins later ~

After finally getting through the crowd of people, I had got to Y/n's door. I slowly turned the knob to see her on her phone. She looked up at me and if I wasn't mistaken, I think I saw her face light up.

I said, "That happy to see me?"

She adjusted herself and said, "Boy, bye."

"Uh, how are you feeling?"

Y/n said, "Uh, I've been better."

I said, "Well...if I hadn't known better...I'd say you've been waiting on me."

"And if I was?" She gave me a side eye.

Y/n POV

Aha...got his ass. Now he blushing.

I said, "Careful, bird. Yo face gettin' red as your wings."

Takami cleared his throat, "Um...Mrs.Evelyn wanted to know-"

I sat up and said, "If I'll continue to work on the case?"

He nodded and I think he was a bit disappointed or maybe worried that I wouldn't continue to work on it. He laid down some papers on the desk next to my bed. I took them and skimmed through them as we talked.

I said, "I hope I'll be able to. I dont want to stop working on the case, y'know I really need that check."

Takami frowned up and I added, "AND I guess I like working with you, bUdDy."

He smiled and said, "How long do you think you'll be here?"

"Uh...I actually don't know. Hopefully I'll be out by tomorrow."

Takami rose an eyebrow, "With you looking like this? Hell no, you're not going tomorrow."

I said, "Yes, the fuck I am. I am not sitting in this raggedy ass bed, not doing shit."

He sat on the side of the bed and said, "But, you've done enough, Y/n. Take a breather."

We both looked down at my oxygen tube and Takami said, "Uh...out your mouth. Like breathe in and out the mouth cause you know...the oxygen tube in that big ass nose of yours."

I started to laugh, "Big!?! Excuse me? Yo eyebrows look like the lorax!"

Takami said, "Well that doesn't bother me cause I don't know who the lorax IS."

I reached for my phone so I could at least show him what the lorax looked like and Takami took it away with his one feather.

I said, "I swear if you break my damn phone."

Takami mocked, "Iswearblahblahblah."

I rolled my eyes and folded my arms. He stood there like a snarky ass child with his feather and my phone.

I said, "...May I get my phone back?"

He responded, "After you hear me out with this proposal."

"Where the money at? Come on, Hawks. You know me better than this."

Takami rolled his eyes and said, "Not that- just hear me out, alright?"

I turned fully towards his way with my full attention to hear what type of shit he had to tell me.

He said, "I will give your phone back if we have dinner together."

I said, "Dinner? How would we have a good dinner in a hospital?"

"I can have it delivered to this place. I'm rich and handsome, Y/n. Come on, now. I can get anything with this face." He took his hand under his chin and represented his face like a trophy.

"Mm...this seems like you're trying to convince me to date you."

Takami got up and leaned towards me and said, "Well, is it convincing enough?"

I said, "WAIT, YOU FOR REAL?"

Takami hurried to cover my mouth, chuckled and said, "Y/n, you're going to get me kicked out."

I said, "Sorry."

Takami rolled his eyes and said, "My effect on girls is always like this."

I arched my eyebrow, "You ever actually dated before?"

He paused and said, "...thats besides the point. So is it a yes?"

I didnt really want to give him the satisfaction of being able to get to me. I mean it wouldn't be bad to try it out.

I collectively said, "I guess."

Takami turned his head and put his hand to his ear.

Takami said, "Im sorry, say it again?"

I said, "I'LL GO ON THE DIN-NER, TAKAMI."

I rolled my eyes and pushed his face away, playfully, "Dont you still gotta work or something?"

He said, "Hm...yeah. I should get going. I'll see you tonight, avatar."

"Wait, tonight??"

"We both know you won't survive a day in this hospital without some actual food."

I mocked him as he left, "blahblahfood. Get out my damn room!"

He started to do that aggravating thing where his wings slightly lift him off the ground and floats him away with a princess wave.

I threw a pillow and laughed. He was finally gone and he used his feathers to float the pillow back to my room. The feathers zoomed away and I put the pillow back in its original place, behind me.

I decided to call my friend, Iris for a favor.

~This bitch betta pick up.~

I heard a beeping sound knowing she had picked up the phone.

I said, "Iris, I need help."

Iris responded, "I know, hun. I know. You need a lot of it."

"Stop playinn! Im going on a date later and I got oxygen tube and shit hooked to me. I look dirty like I've been picking cotton or sum shit and like-"

"Woahhhh chill out. Give me a second. You got a date? With who?"

I said, "Girl, you all up in my business!"

"Man, if you don't tell me! You wit present mic? He a lil old. Oh crap, is it Mirko? I knew you would get her!"

I said, "Nigga, no! Its with that hero, Hawks."

"Hawks? I thought you disliked him? I mean I don't understand why you disliked him, cause he is fine. ANYWAYS, my friend got a lil dateee."

I said, "Get yo ass over here with the make up bag."

She replied with an, 'ok' and hung up the phone. That girl hung up a little too easy so I know she wanted to know more when she got here. I started to scroll on my phone to past the time.

Hawks POV

I dont want to admit this but im probably gonna get Mirko her favorite candy or something. I mean I did all the work of asking Y/n out but like she kept pushing me to actually admit it. I still don't know what possessed me to just do that. Y/n barely remembered my name but she's still incredibly funny, confident, strong and definitely a badass.

~I still need to find out what she got from the villians~

I looked up towards the sky and it seemed like it was a bit in the afternoon. The sky started to turn into its pinkish color. I guess i was out longer than I expected doing this patrol and I should probably get ready for the date.

~Oh shit, I didn't tell Y/n a specific time.~

Y/n POV

Iris was now over and helping with the makeup. My girl, Nicole, came in too. She came to check my oxygen levels and wanted to know why I was trying to get all spruced up in a damn hospital. I simply told both my girls how me and Takami started to get along in a weird...cute kinda way, I guess.

Nicole asked, "When is he getting here?"

I said, "Uh...wait a min- that dumbass didn't text me a time "

As soon as I said those words, I felt my phone vibrate on the little desk near me. My friend iris looked at it before handing it to me and I snatched it quickly with a 'you nosy' face. She only giggled.

Iris said, "He said 9PM."

I said, "I know, nosy ass."

"Man, I shoulda let you stay ugly!"

I started to laugh and said, "Bitch, I said spruce me up. I aint say a damn word about being ugly."

Iris only mocked me and continued to do my hair (styling a braid, picking out an afro, styling the hair, twisting locs, etc.)

Nicole said, "Not to stop you guys or anything but your oxygen levels are going well, Mrs.L/n. Would you like me to take the oxygen tube now or after your little date?"

I responded with, "Now would be great. You gotta pull it out my nose?"

Nicole nodded and I looked at Iris, and Iris looked at me. She shuddered at the thought of someone pulling a whole tube out my nose.

I said, "Iris, what you standing there for? Use your quirk and hold me down."

Nicole raised an eyebrow but her face relaxed with a smile when she noticed that I was uneasy about her taking it out. I can't stand putting shit in or out my nose.

Nicole said, "I'll be quick, mk?"

I said, "ight. Ima bad bitch. I can fight villians. That means I can handle a tube in my nose. Lets get it."

I sat on the edge of the bed and Nicole stood in front of me. I felt Iris's quirk and I was on the bed, all stiff. Nicole eased up her hands and gently pulled the tube out but quickly like she said. I closed my eyes as she pulled and felt the water come out my eyes.

Nicole simply said, "Alright, im done."

I opened up one eye and sighed in relief. I felt Iris's quirk ease up and I wiped my little droplets of tears.

I said, "Ahem. Anyways, thank ya. Let's finish up."

We finished up the makeup and my friend Iris squealed at her work and thats when I immediately knew I had looked good. We had put on some different clothes too but it was more of a cute, comfortable type. I had on black Nike sweatpants and a white shirt with a black woman icon on it. I had on some hoops and arched eyebrows with some glossy lips to go with it.

It almost looked like i was ready to get out of the hospital, I mean I think its time, a lot of heroes get out after 1 day. Iris waved goodbye when she finished up saying she had things to do. Before she headed out, she froze and mouthed some words to me.

I said, "Hm?"

She mouthed them again and I rose an eyebrow cause she know damn well I can't understand when she do that shit.

Iris said, "HE'S HERE, you idiot! You can't understand nothing!"

I put up my middle finger.

Takami said, "Oh, uh am I interrupting?"

Iris said, "Oh, not at all. Excuse me." Iris did a wink towards me and a wave towards both us before heading out. Takami awkwardly waved back. He did a sheepish smile at me, holding a bag of food and wearing black sweat pants with a white sweatshirt with black Japanese writing on the front that said, "Eat, sleep, repeat."

Takami said, "Well, lets dig in. Shall we, love?"
