Y/n POV

Takami rolled a bigger table to his side and took out the table for me which was behind the hospital bed, and set out the food. I wasn't trying to make it look like I was hungry but I think I failed because Takami started to comment on it.

He said, "Geez, wait a minute, Avatar."

I said, "I aint even say nothing. Don't make me kick you out."

He put his hand close to his heart and said, "Aw~, you wouldn't."

I made a look that expressed the words, 'try me'. He quickly looked away with a chuckle.

He got out the plastic forks and napkins. We started to dig in our food, well I did- almost immediately. After awhile he started to talk.

He said, "Uh, you look great tonight."

I looked up at him and he looked straight back not even breaking eye contact. I was never good at this type of stuff which made me break the contact.

Takami did a victory smirk when I looked back at him and said, "You know what? I change my mind."

I said, "About what?"

He put his fork down and said, "About how you look."

I folded my arms and waited for his shitty ass response. He said, "You look beautiful tonight."

I rolled my eyes with a smile and he laughed. Now that I think about it Takami is really giggly. He chuckles or smiles at every little thing that we or I have done. Its kinda cute.

Takami said, "Avatar, I request for you to show me who the Lorax is."

I smiled widely and said, "Oh, do you now? Pull up a picture of yourself and I'll get the lorax picture."

He scrolled on his phone while I scrolled on mine. I found the photo and I looked at his first. It looked like he took a picture of himself after a fight. I put my phone next to his so we could both compare.

When he looked at the pictures, he looked flabbergasted which made me die laughing.

He said, "You think you're funny?"

I wiped my tears of joy and looked at him again which made me laugh again and soon he started to laugh too.

"You're a little bitch, you know that?" He said that while pointing his finger at me and laughing.

I said, "Eh, yeah. Bad bitch? I know."

Takami said, "Hm...whatever."

"Also, thank you for catching me out there...after the fight."

He replied, "No problem."

We finished up our food with stupid conversations about our favorite movies, stupid insults, villains and when I come back on the mission. It felt like I known him for a long time, I mean I did, we just couldn't stand each other but its nice to actually get to know him.

Hawks POV

I honestly could stay here for a while with her and I definitely have a reason too. I even practiced the reason.

~"You just got into a horrible fight and I want to make sure you're safe." Boom. Reason to stay."~

Im pretty sure I'm not going to have to do all that but just in case, the reason is locked in my brain. I got up, stood near her hospital bed and she just looked up at me.

"...yes?"

I said, "Scoot, scoot."

She repeated, "Scoot...scoot?"

I nodded and lifted my wings up and plopped myself right beside- well almost on top of Y/n.

She said, "Nigga, you almost killed me!"

I shrugged my shoulders and twisted and turned to annoy Y/n while making myself comfortable. She did a quick hit on my arm and I smirked at her. I kinda wrapped my wings around us and wrapped my arm around her.

I said, "So, what to watch?"

She looked at me and said, "Takami, you know damn well there's nothing to watch in this hospital."

I said, "We're the top heroes, we can make the most of it."

I flipped through the channels and stopped at a specific one, "How about a good show of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse?"

She shook her head and said, "Boy..."

"I'll take that as a yes."

We laid there and if I wasn't mistaken, I saw avatar smile at the show. I see she's a bit of a sweet kid inside.

I soon started to feel light breathing and hear light snores. I looked down to see Avatar sleep.

I looked down at her and thought maybe I had a crush on her the whole time. It's fun, the way she always was close to my level and the way she would look at me with a smirk or I would smirk if one of us did better than the other. I just expressed it in...a different way.

~The Next Day~

Y/n POV

I fluttered my eyes open and looked to my side to see a sleeping Hawks.

~Damn, he cute...his aggravating ass.~

I was still wrapped with his wings and his arm around me. His dirty blonde hair was in his face. I took my finger and curled his hair around it. I felt a buzz on my phone and that gave me an instinct to check the time which was 4AM.

~Damn, its early. ~

This is actually just enough time for me to get discharged, get the papers to Mrs.Evelyn, and still get ready for the mission, all in one. I started to get back comfortable but I heard a mumble.

"Do you ever stop moving?"

I said, "Aye- you the one that decided to lay here. Deal with it, bird."

He said, "Well I did get pretty far for a first date, huh? Like laying in the same hospital bed is pretty far if I say so myself."

I hit his chest and said, "Come on, bird so I can get discharged."

I started to get up but his wing pulled me back. Takami said, "Wait, you're actually getting out?"

I said, "Yeah, duh. I feel fine. Get your feathered ass off me so we can do this mission together."

I looked at his face and it looked like he was still pondering whether I should be able to or not. I lightly hit his face which made him instantly let go of me.

He scrunched up his face a bit and said, "What was that for?"

"You wouldn't let go, now get up."

He put his hands behind his head like he was on a vacation and said, "You know...this bed is not so bad, Avatar."

"That bed raggedy." I used my wind quirk and lifted him out the bed.

~After getting discharged~

We walked out the hospital and I stretched.

Takami says, "I see you're happy to be out."

"My happiness won't last for long when I see that burnt ass piece of shit."

Takami chuckled as we both walked to the company building to give the papers to Mrs.Evelyn. The walk wasn't as far as I thought it would be considering Takami was talking the whole time or putting in his little 2 cents. He honestly had a lot to say about anything.

We were infront of the building and started to walk to the elevator. I quickly ran in and pressed the button. It took Takami a minute to process what I was doing but by that time, the elevator doors closed. I started to text him to be petty.

The elevator doors opened and I stepped out. I tried to straighten out my clothes or look professional but it was pretty hard considering these are the ones I wore yesterday.

Mrs.Evelyn says, "I see you're alright."

I said, "Yes ma'am."

She held out her hand and I simply handed her the papers stating that I was going to be fine to continue the mission.

Mrs.Evelyn asked, "Where is Hawks?"

I said, "Oh, he's a bit late. He had to do something."

"Oh, I was sure he was going to be with you-"

We heard the elevator doors open and turned to see Takami with a smile. He waved and apologized for being a little "late" which got me to chuckle a bit.

Mrs.Evelyn said, "I'll call the woman I need here to get you covered up, Y/n. You two sit here and wait until I get back."

Takami put his two fingers on his forehead and did a salute with a, "yes ma'am!"

Mrs.Evelyn nodded and went out of the room. I sat on the comfortable couches that were in her office. Takami started to walk up to me and I looked up with a confused expression.

Takami leaned in my face and said, "Your sense of humor is terrible."

I said, "Takami, you're mad because the real thing I can beat you at IS humor. You probably can't even get your own species to chuckle or...sqawk."

Takami went silent and assuming I got him, I started to look on my phone. It was only a few seconds later, I felt Takami fall on me.

He said, "Gosh, what a comfortable couch!"

I started to laugh and said, "Takami!"

He squirmed and tried to get "comfortable". He is honestly really heavy. It was only his upper body laying on me too. I tried to think of ways to get his heavy ass off me.

~Ouu, got it.~

The back of his neck was faced towards me as he leaned on me while scrolling on his phone. I leaned forward and did a light peck on his neck. He jerked forward and touched the back of his neck. Takami looked back toward me with a blushed expression and I smiled.

I said, "Thats what you get."

As soon as I said that, a woman walked in to help me spruce up with the disguise. Takami jumped up and cleared his throat.

The woman sat me down in a chair and used their quirk to cover my scars.

I said, "Mrs.Evelyn, question."

She replied with a "hm?"

I said, "If this person can use their quirk to disguise my scars why can't they use it for our mission?"

The person looked at me which was a tan woman, with tattoos and a lip piercing, and almond-shaped light blue eyes.

She answered, "Oh, hun. Thats not how my quirk works. My quirk is used to make it look like something is never there, not disguise it. I can only make things disappear."

I nodded to say I understood and she finished me up. We thanked the woman and she walked out the room.

I looked at my arms and I honestly felt brand new. Takami came up to me and gently touched my arms like he was examining them. He was hesitant at first but I stayed still to let him know its alright.

He said, "Damn, it was like you never got in a fight."

Takami even touched my face to see if he could feel the light bruises. He was trying to look me straight in the eye, too but like I said I was never good with this type of eye contact and I looked away.

Takami smirked when he noticed and said, "Didnt you have news to tell us, Avatar?"

I cleared my throat and said, "Right." I stepped back and turned towards Mrs.Evelyn.

I said, "A man going by the name, Mr.Compress told me that there is a spy in one of our organizations. I started to ask the question of who they were after next but they only said a gender which is a woman. I'll try to get more today."

Mrs.Evelyn looked away and said, "This is rather big news. I suggest you both try to get the name or gender of the spy, both would be great and the name of the hero. You two may leave."

We nodded and we went our separate ways to put on our disguises.

We soon met up in our spot and was outside of the villians hideout.

Takami said, "You ready?"

I nodded and responded, "Lets get this over with."
