Chapter 1

Calvin was hard at work at Carmichael's when his wife Patty showed up to say hi.

"Hi, Cal; what's cookin'?" she said.

"Hello, Patty. I just finished all this paperwork. Ever since I met Batman and Robin, I've been going crimefighting a lot. And because of that, work's really been piling up" said Calvin.

"Golly day, Calvin. How do you manage to do it all?" said Patty.

"You know me, babe" said Calvin.

Mr Carmichael himself approached Calvin at the desk.

"Calvin" he said.

"Mr Carmichael" said Calvin back.

"And good afternoon to you, Patty" said Mr Carmichael suavely.

"Like hi, Mr C" said Patty.

"If you don't mind, my dear, I'd like a word with your husband" said Mr Carmichael.

"Yes?" said Calvin.

"Lookit, Calvin. I appreciate you doing my paperwork, but I got a ton of customers in lot eleven and no salesman" said Mr Carmichael.

"So you want me to go out there and sell some cars in lot eleven?" said Calvin.

"I knew you'd come around. Now hurry before my customers worry themselves into anemia" said Mr Carmichael.

"Yes sir" said Calvin.

He and Patty went outside and sold a fair few cars.

"Why can't ol' Mr C understand how overworked you are?" said Patty.

"Well, he doesn't have many employees and I'm his best one. So I really can't blame him" said Calvin.

"But what if you hear the Warrior Siren on a work day?" said Patty.

"It doesn't make a difference. No matter where I am, if the siren goes off, I spring into action" said Calvin.

"Calvin O'Keeffe... you are incredible" said Patty.

"But I'm married. Batman once told me that marriage severely impairs your crimefighting" said Calvin.

"I've never seen your crimefighting get impaired" said Patty.

"Well, except for that case we had right before our wedding. Sometimes cases do come at the wrong time" said Calvin.

Patty laughed and let her man hug her.
