*β€’.ΒΈβ™‘ We Will Meet Again, Decoy β™‘ΒΈ.β€’*

I believe you... I... I forgive you Tobio...

I'm here Akira...

Say it again.

I think love you Tooru.

I will always be here.

There will always be us.

There are billions of people in the world. Billions of people who have people to love. Billions of people with words on their body. Billions of people who know who they are and who they are supposed to be in love with. Billions of people, and then there's me.

I know no one who has ever said anything like what is on my wrist to me. Usually people know if they met their soulmate the instant they meet. They just have an instant connection. The one problem with that is that I don't connect with anyone immediately. I have to learn to trust them. After what happened with he who shall not be named, I try not to trust anyone without solid reason to.

"Shoyo! Wake up Shoyo! Come on we're gonna be late if you don't wake up right now!" A freckled hand was waving in front of his face as Hinata Shoyo, number 5, the Ace of Karasuno woke up. "SHOYO WAKE UP OR I'M LEAVING YOUR SHOES ON THE BUS!"

If nothing else woke him up, that sure did. "NOT AGAIN!!" The ginger grabbed his shoes from his captain and stood up.

"Thank God."

"Wow Yama, harsh much?" A sarcastic remark came from near the front of the bus, Tsukishima Kei, middle blocker of Karasuno, giving his iconic smirk and his necessary snarky remark per chapter he's in.

"Tsukki, I swear to God do not make me call your boyfriend. Get off the damn bus." The blonde laughed and got off the bus. "Shoyo, get off the bus." The former decoy ran off the bus faster than a Rolling Thunder.

Finally, Yamaguchi Tadashi, captain and middle blocker of Karasuno, came off of the bus, his hair in a bun and a determined smile on his face. "Alright! Headcount!" The whole team lined up, making sure everyone was there. "Where is Tobio?"

"HE'S MINE NOW SUCKERS!" A laugh came from next to the bus, the black haired boy seeing Itachiyama's former libero, Inarizaki's former setter, and Shiratorizawa's former ace attempting to drag away a confused blueberry who wasn't struggling due to the box of milk in his hand. "GOODBYE!!"

"Tobio, if you go with them, you can't play volleyball." The former King of The Court lightly pushed his friends off of him. If there was one thing for sure, it was that nothing can get in the way of Kageyama Tobio, setter of Karasuno. It was just the most important thing in his life other than maybe milk.

A voice came from the front of the pack of the volleyball players. "Everyone's here captain!" The guys moved off her path, as a beautiful blonde girl walked towards the captain.

"Thanks Yachi!" The team filed back in, Yachi Hitoka, Manager of Karasuno, standing next to Yamaguchi. "Alright guys. We just need to get through the first day. Let's focus on that. We can focus on tomorrow when it comes. Focus on today and everything will be fine. Let's do this!" The team cheered and started walking towards the stadium.

"Come on, stupid! We're gonna miss their first game!" The seagull-like boy tried running, pulling along his best friend.

"Calm down, Hoshiumi. The game starts in 30 minutes. We have plenty of time. Let's look around. See who's playing. Try to run into some familiar faces." Hirugami Sachiro was making sense, but Hoshiumi didn't want to be late for his first game. He wanted to see him play again. He was still waiting. He wanted to know what he would be up against at the end of his wait. But his best friend came first. He knew who he wanted to see.

"Fine, but let's hurry. You have someone to watch too." They headed inside, immediately running into Sakusa Kiyoomi, Komori Motoya, Miya Atsumu, and Ushijima Wakatoshi.

"Hoshiumi! How ya doin?" The blonde smiled, pulling the rest over with him. "You here to watch Karasuno loose?"

"Why else would I be here?"

"The game starts in 5. We should go. We might not make it in time otherwise." The farmer (stupid auto correct) ace said, still as stoic as ever. The others nodded.

"Thanks Ushi! Let's go!!!!" Atsumu said, energetically. This is either going to be the best day ever, or the worst. I'm not excited.

"Yo Hinata!! Get any taller yet?" Shoyo knew that voice anywhere. He had hoped to not run into the middle blocker before the game, but things didn't go as planned. So, he turned around to face Haiba Lev, Teshiro Tamahiko, Shibayama Yuki, and Inuoka So, the current third years of Nekoma and the biggest relationship the lone crow had ever heard of.

"Of course I have, Lev! It's been a few months! I grew 10 centimeters!"

"Awesome! I grew too!"

"Duh Lev. When do you not?" The setter spoke, causing everyone else to laugh.

"I have to go! I need to find Kageyama! I'll see you guys in finals!" They waved goodbye as Shoyo ran away.

Looking for shirts was not an easy task. Especially with all those tall people looking over him. The seagull haired volleyball player wasn't happy with the way he was being treated. He just wanted a shirt.

"Excuse me." A familiar voice said next to Hoshiumi. "Hoshiumi~San."

"Kageyama!" It was nice to see a familiar face, but Korai was somewhat upset that Tobio's short friend wasn't with him. "I saw your first game. Well done."

"Thanks. Happy Birthday by the way."

"It was six days ago," the graduate pointed out. A sad look appeared on Kageyama's face.
Hoshiumi felt bad. "But thanks. Not many people wished me a happy birthday anyway, so thanks. It means a lot that you remembered."

"Y-You're welcomeΒ  Hoshiumi~San!!" The third year smiled, Hoshiumi smiling back softly. Kageyama looked at a clock on the wall."I need to go now. Our second game today is coming up. I'll see you later Hoshiumi~San!"

"Kageyama! Where have you been?!" The captain yelled. Hinata perked up when he heard his setter's name.

"I ran into Hoshiumi~San. Sorry." Hinata smiled softly at the mention of his old rival.

"Red ears." Yachi whispered in Hinata's ear.

"Huh?"

"Red face." The other blonde laughed.

"I'm blushing?"

"Yes." Hinata smacked his best friend's arm as he laughed. He didn't realize he was blushing. He didn't know why. He never thought of Hoshiumi as more than a rival or a friend. Never someone he imagined himself with in the future. He didn't think so at least.

"Hoshiumi! Where have you been? We missed you! Plus, the Fukurodani match is about to begin and Bokuto's gonna be upset if we miss his kohai's game but make it to everyone else's." Atsumu Miya sighed. "I'm pretty sure he just wants to see if Keiji~Kun's there."

"Isn't Akaashi with someone on Karasuno?" The seagul-like man asked.

"Number 3. Tsukishima."

"Oh. I can kinda see that."

"Yeah." They heard a small yell they couldn't exactly make out the words of, but they knew it was an upset Bokuto. Not quite Emo Mode, but close. "We should hurry. Bo's done waiting. I believe Shoyo might be there- woah your face just went red. Wait... Do you like Sho?~"

"What? No! No... I don't think..."

"Dude we are so getting into this during the game." The setter wrapped his arm around his friend and they walked to the game, talking about the orange haired ace the whole way.

"Sho~Chan!"

"Atsumu~San!" The Ace and the setter hugged each other. Semi-Finals was coming up and Hinata was pumped. He was playing Nekoma. Finally, the match up he'd been waiting for and avoiding his friends for until. He didn't want to see their gameplay until the game. That was his strategy for that game. The whole game decided if Karasuno would win Nationals that year. It wouldn't matter who they played against. They would win it.

Shoyo looked at the schedule and saw his worst nightmare come to life.

Nekoma had lost their previous game.

Shoyo was going in blind against a team he had only heard of and he was not ready at all. I mean, who the heck is Nohebi? Is that the snake team Kuroo~San had told Hinata about? He was nervous now. He was ready to play against Lev, but he knew no one on Nohebi. This was their first year at Nationals in a while. Hinata had never seen them play.

"Uh oh." A voice from behind Hinata said softly. "This is bad." The crow turned around to see a clowder of cats.

"Kuroo~San!"

"Shoyo! You have to be careful with the team you're going against. They're lying snakes." Kuroo grabbed Hinata's shoulders are bent down to his level.

"That's no way to talk about my underclassmen, Gatito. You don't like it when I talk about your kids like that." A voice Shoyo didn't recognize came from behind the bunch of former Nekoma players.

"Oh shut it VΓbora. You just stay on your side of the court, we'll stay on our's." The amount of tension between the two of them was huge. No one around could tell what kind of tension it was. Everyone was waiting for either a punch or different kind of smack.

"I'm just gonna go to my game..." Shoyo slid away slowly, before starting to walk quickly towards where his team was warming up.

Bets were cast. Bands were ready. Cheer squads were ready. Everyone waiting for the most unexpected matchup of the year.

Tadashi Yamaguchi and Naoyasu Kuguri shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. The coin was flipped. Karasuno would receive.

The whistle was blown. The match had begun.

Tears, happy and sad, were she'd all across the stadium. Karasuno's last chance at finals, gone.

"Goodbye. Thank you for the memories."

"Alright guys. Line it up." Tadashi yelled, a steadiness in his voice he would not have been able to keep before.

They all had grown through the years. Memories in that stadium, from the game even, had changed them all.

"Thank you for coming."

"THANK YOU FOR COMING!"

Shoyo Hinata left the gymnasium. He wanted so bad to go the next day. He wanted to keep playing. Yet, he couldn't. He had lost.
