Hussain’s POV:

It had been almost a week now, since Sana and I had started to date. The past week, Shehry had been acting really weird. He was really quiet, and didn’t speak much.

It was night time, and the end of school week, so I assumed Shehry was up in his room, watching something.

“Yo!”, I barged into his room.

“Hussain? Soye nahi abi tak?”,he paused his music, and put his headphones down.

“Main toh so jaunga, pehle yeh toh bataein janaab, appko hokya gaya hai?”, I sat on his bed and closed the screen of his laptop.

“Kuch nahi hua mujhe.”, he sounded really low.

“Abey oye! Bhai hoon tera! Bol kya baat hai?”, I tapped his head.

“Dude! I don’t know okay. I really don’t. I haven’t spoken to Amna for a week now. I texted her last week and she replied, that’s it. Uske baad we haven’t spokn to each other. She’s been avoiding me all week, before, during and after class.”, he seemed worried.

“Sun meri baat! Tu so ja. Kal main Sana se baat karta hun. I’ll ask her if everything is alright. Theek hai?”, I tried consoling him.

“Hmm…”, he opened his laptop screen.

I went back to my room, and decided to go to sleep.

The next morning, I got up early, and went to Sana’s house to pick her up.

“Goood morning Sain! Aaj badi jaldi thi appko mujhse milne ki?”, she said as she sat in the car.

“Yeah. Were you awake ya woke up cause of my text?”, I asked.

“I woke up cause of your text. Had to make a bahana that I’m going out with Amna today, warna parents wouldn’t let me out this early.”, she said while fixing her hair, looking in the mirror.

“Listen Sana, I have to talk to you about something important.”, I said, as I drove off.

“Yes tell me?”, she looked concerned.

“Tell me about Amna! Does she like, talk to Shehry or something?”

“Amna? Why are you so interested in her?”, she asked with a typical girlfriend tone.

“Jaan, I’m not asking in that way! It’s because of Shehry!”, I tried explaining her.

“Um..Amna doesn’t talk to Shehry much! She didn’t like you guys in the beginning, and thought you guys were just a bunch of show offs.”, she said scraping the left over nail polish from her nails.

“What about now?”, I asked.

“Umm..she doesn’t say anyhitng anymore. She doesn’t hate you guys or anything, but she once casually said between one of our convos that she hopes Shehry doesn’t like her.”

“Oh god! Really?”, I asked with a really worried look on my face.

Sana probably sensed it and asked me what was wrong. I then explained her the conversation I had with Shehry last night, and she confirmed that Amna didn’t like him in return.

I didn’t know how I would tell this to Shehry though!

Shehry’s POV:

I had a cricket match planned later for the day but I called up my friends and told them that I wouldn’t be going.

I decided to stay home all day, in my room. I didn’t fell like doing anything. My mom was worried about me but I assured her that nothing was wrong, and it was just one of those days when I felt really lazy and didn’t do anything.

Hussain arrived at 6 in the evening, and I couldn’t wait to talk to him. I had to know what was wrong with Amna!

“Hussain! Did you talk to her?”, I asked as he walked into my room.

“Talk to whom?”, he asked.

“Sana of course! About Amna dude!”, I said.

“Oh – Sana? Umm I met her, but I err..for-forgot to talk to her about Am-Amna!”, he stuttered, looking away.

I knew my brother very well. He only stuttered and looked away when was lying. He had to be lying this time too.

“YO! Don’t lie to me! Tell me!”, I ordered.

“Um…nahi yaar sachi, maine baat nahi ki..”, he tried convincing me.

“SHUT.UP! Bol kya baat hai!”, I looked straight into his eyes.

“Umm…Sana said that she didn’t like us in the beginning and thinks that we are a bunch of showoffs and…once long ago…like casually… when they were talking… this one time… when Sana was like umm…talking to Amna…ummm”, he just wouldn’t say anything.

“TELL ME CLEARLY!” I raised my voice.

“Amna didn’t want you to like her, and she doesn’t like you either.”, he quickly blurted out.

“What? Really?”, my heart crumbled.

“yeah…”, he said trying to avoid my eyes.

I asked Hussain to leave me alone, and locked my room.

She doesn’t like me? Really? What have I done? Fine! Shehry! She doesn’t like you! Stop becoming a Devdas! She”s not your girlfriend, and this is not a break up! Stop crying. Why are you so sad? Cheer up! Ab tu dikha Amna ko that you’re still happy without her.

Wow! I was talking to myself!

Whatever, so what if she did’nt like me? She thinks we are a bunch of show offs? Well, now I'll show her what a show off is!

Amna’s POV:

I hadn’t spoken to Shehryaar all week long. It felt weird. I never gave him any importance, but why did this matter so much to me right now?

Was I actually starting to like Shehryaar?

NO! What am I saying? How can I like Shehryaar? He’s such a showoff! Uff! Or maybe he wasn’t! Was I in love? Maybe…

I couldn’t go to sleep that night. I kept switching sides, on bed, trying to sleep but I just couldn’t.  I had felt really, really weird that night, so I decided to pull out my phone, and watch DhoomBros videos, specially Shehryaar.  I don’t know why.

I don’t know when I fell asleep that night.
