Love will find its way...

Shehry’s POV:

“Hussain?”, I said in surprise, when I saw Hussain enter my room.

“I wanna talk to you..”, he said, walking in. By the look of his face, I could tell that something was wrong.

He walked in, and then glanced back at the door and nodded, as if asking someone to come in.

“Who’s with you?”, I asked, but he didn’t answer.

I looked at the door, and saw Amna walk in, with her head hung low.

Amna? Ye yaha kya kar rahi hai?

I looked at Hussain, with my eyebrows raised, waiting for him to explain. He didn’t say anything, instead, looked at Amna. All this while Amna hung her head low, and didn’t even look at me.

“What…is going on?”, I asked, trying to figure out what he was upto.

Him, bring Amna into my room, was shocking, and unexpected.

“Listen, I aint gonna take much time..”, Hussain spoke, “I’ll let the two of you talk..”, he added, stepping out, and closing the door behind him.

Awkward!

“Umm..”, I didn’t know what this was all about. What was I suppose to say?

“Shehry-Shehryaar, we need to clear out things..”, she spoke, her head still hanging low, and her gaze fixed at the floor, as if in deep thought.

“Kya matlab?”, I asked.

What is she talking about?

She let out a deep sigh, walked over to my bed, and sat down.

“Umm…say something?”, I said, extending my arms out in the air.

She stayed silent. Instead, she pulled out her phone, and did something.

What in the world is happening?

“Amna, what- is –going- on?”, I asked her, with a pause in between each word, hoping she’d answer.

Instead, she extended her arm, offering me her phone.

What is it?

“I don’t know how or where to begin from…have a look at this..”, she said.

I walked over and reached out for the phone.

Shehry where are you?

Jawab do!

Shehry!!

Hello?

Are you there?

Answer my call atleast!

Shehryaar!

Why don’t you wanna talk to me?

Do you really hate me so much?

And there were so many more messages.

How come I never received these?

I checked the number she texted to.

Knew it!

“You texted me on my old number! I stopped using that number after you left!”, I said.

“Why didn’t you text Hussain, or Sana?”, I asked.

“Because I thought you hated me since you didn’t reply to any of my texts, or receive any of my calls. I assumed texting them would be a waste of time, and I didn’t wanna force myself back into your life..”, she spoke.

But wait, why did she text me? Didn’t she want me to forget her?

“But you—you texted me! W-why?”, I questioned, not knowing why she’d do that.

She raised her head up, to look at me. Her eyes were red and full of tears. Her face looked pale, and she looked very weak. Her lips, were chipped, and she had big dark circles under her eyes. I hadn’t noticed how weak she was, when  saw her at the mall, probably because I saw her from a distance.

What have you done to yourself Amna?!

She looked straight into my eyes.

“Answer me, why’d you text me?”, I demanded.

“Because I Love you!”, was all she had to say.

Those words hit me right in my heart, and I felt weak. My heart skipped a beat, and I was in shock. I felt numb. I didn’t know what to say. It was almost as if I was paralyzed.

“It’s true!”, she added, probably looking at my expressionless face.

Reality struck me. She was married.

My knees felt weak and I couldn’t stand on my legs anymore. I fell down to the ground, while tears started rolling down my cheeks,

Jis baat ka main 2 saal se intezaar kar raha tha, aaj mujhme who baat sunne ki himmat nahi hai.

She got up, and walked towards me. She sat down next to me, with her back leaning against the wall.

She grabbed her dupatta, and wiped away my tears, and then held my face in her hands.

“Bohot tadpaya hain na maine tumhe? 2 saal!”, she cried. “Not anymore Shehry!”

No words escaped my mouth. It was as if, my brain had stopped functioning.

Why is all this happening now? Why are you telling me all this now, Amna? None of this matters. All that matters is that you’re married.

“There has been a lot of misunderstanding between the two of us.”, she spoke. “But remember one thing, you…are my life!”

That is when I couldn’t control myself, and I gave in and hugged her. My mind was telling me to stop, since I knew she was married, but dil toh akhir dil hi hai. Na kabhi kisi ki suna hai, aur naa kabhi kisi ki sunega.

“Why did you leave me in the first place?”, I cried.

She hugged me back, with her chin resting on my shoulder, and said, “I had to, for my parents. I’m sorry!”

Amna’s POV:

He just sat there, hugging me, without saying a word. His touch made my insides turn upside down. He hugged me as tight as he could, his arms wrapped around my shoulders, and his chin resting on my left. I felt his tears fall from his face on to my shirt, which made it a little wet. He was crying like a baby.

But then, he suddenly pulled back, and said, “I’m sorry.”

“Sorry for what Shehry?”, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

“For huggin. I mean…”, he wiped away his tears, with his sleeve, and folded his knees upto his chest, and wrapped his arms around his legs.

I raised my hand, held his chin, and turned his face towards me. “Shehry, I’m not married.”

His eyes widened in surprise, and his mouth hung open.

“Bu-ut us d-din, w-woh…”, he started speaking, but I placed my finger on his lips.

“Sshh, He is my cousin’s husband.”, I smiled.

He sighed, dropping his shoulders down.

I enveloped his cold palms, within mine, and said, “Misunderstandings!”

“And, Si-Sidra…?”, he asked.

“Sidra ne jhoot bola tha. Tum se bhi, aur mujh se bhi! She told me that you’ve moved on, and that you’re with her..”, I explained, while still holding his hands.

He eyes were still widened, but his expression now, was that of a shocked one.

“I know!”, I nodded,  “And all this has been cleared up only because of Hussain..”

I let go of his hands, while he still hadn’t recovered from shock. His bback leaned against the wall, he rested his elbows, on his knees, and held his head in his hands.

I got up and walked towards the door.

“Come in..”, I whispered to Hussain, who was standing outside.

He walked in, and I followed.

Shehry looked up at Hussain, and his eyes teared up. Hussain walked towards him.

Shehry got up and hugged the life out of him, “Thankyou ‘Sain! Thankyou very much! You have no idea what you’ve done for me today!”

“Pagal toh nahi hogaya hai tu?”, Hussain said, smacking the back of his head. “Thanks kis baat ka? And mujhse behtar kaun jaanega ki how you feel right now?”, He added, rubbing the back of Shehry’s head, with his right hand, while gently patting his back with his left.

Looking at them, my eyes started tearing up.

Hayee the brotherly love!

“Agar bromance khatam ho gaya ho, toh main bhi join kar loon?”, I smiled.

“No he’s mine!”, Hussain joked, and then held his hand out, gesturing me to join in.

I jumped in, and we all gave each other a big group hug.

“You now, Shehry hasn’t been The Shehry since the day he saw you leave, at the airport..”, Hussain said, while we all slowly pulled back.

“He hasn’t been in our videos, he hasn’t dj-ed, it was almost like I had lost my brother.”, he added.

I shifted my eyes, from Hussain, to Shehry, and he smiled, with his teary eyes, sticking his tongue out.

I folded my arms across my chest, and tapped my feet on the ground, “Pakka Devdas haan?”

He rubbed the back of his hand, with his left hand and said, “Yeah..”

I rolled my eyes, and nodded with a smile.

“Guys, can I join too?”, said a voice from behind the door, and we all turned around to see who it was.

It was Sana, standing there with a puppy face.

“Obviously!’, Hussain responded quickly, and she came running towards me and hugged me.

I hugged her back, “Acha beta! Bestfriend ko hi bhool gayi thi? Us din mall me ignore kyu kiya?”

She pulled back, and said, “Sorry! Misunderstandings yaar!”

“I missed you girl!”, I said hugging her back.

“I missed you too!”, she replied.

“Umm..waise who meri hai! You can let go of her now!”, Hussain joked, to make the mood lighter and we all laughed.

“Jo bhi ho, I’m her first love! Right Sana?”, I boasted, to add to the humor.

“Oh yess!”, Sana replied, making Hussain pout.

“Its okay Hussain, main hoon na?”, Shehry added in, doing SRK’s  signature step, of raising the hands in the air.

“I’m the SRK here!”, Hussain smacked his hand, making us laugh.

“Chittar marna main tenu!”, Shehry replied in his Dolly Aunty style, “Idhar aao, aunty nu pyaar do!”, he added, and Hussain quickly jumped in for a hug.

“BROMANCE!”, me and Sana yelled in unison.

“Okay anyways, I gotta get going guys! My parents will get worried if I don’t show up before 10…”, I said looking at my watch and holy shit, it was 10:30! “OMG it’s 10:30! Shit!”, I said panicking. “Hussain can you drop me back home please?”

“Hussain kyu? Main hoon na!”, Shehry said, doing the SRK style again, and we all sighed.

“Okay zyada ho gaya!”, he said sticking his tongue out.

“YES!”, we all said in unison.

He then held his hand out forward, asking Hussain for the keys, and Hussain handed him the keys.

He then grabbed my hand and took me out.

We sat in the car, and he started driving, while the song ‘Tu Hai Ki Nahi’, played on the radio.

“I love this song!”, I exclaimed.

“And I love you!”, he exclaimed back, imitating my tone.

“Uff Shehry!”, I smacked his arm, and he giggled.

“Amna..”, he spoke after about 5 minutes of silence.

“Hmm?”

“I wanna talk to your parents..about us!”, he said.

My eyes widened, “Aaj?”

“Should I?”, he questioned back.

“No”, I nodded, “Not today! I think it’s too soon..I need to prepare them for it.”

“I agree..I don’t wanna risk losing you again..”, he nodded.

Upon reaching, I tried opening the door, but it wouldn’t open. It was locked.

I unlocked it, but before I could open it, Shehry locked the door again.

“Shehry, what are you doing?”, I asked, giving him an irritated expression.

“Na joa!”, he replied, pouting.

“Haan! Aur Mama, Baba ka kya karun?”, I asked him, folding my hands across my chest.

“Tell them you’re sleeping over at your friend’s place! Lets go out tonight, enjoy karte hain! You, me, Hussain and Sana!”, he said, cheekily.

I sighed, “I cant! They wont let me, mainly cause I haven’t informed them before hand..”

“Okay then! How about tomorrow?”, he asked, raising his eyebrows in excitement.

“I’ll ask them..ab door unlock karo..its almost 11!”, I replied.

He unlocked the door, and as I was about to get out of the car, he caught hold of my hand.

“Now what?”, I asked turning around looking at him.

He just smiled.

I smiled back, “I love you Shehry!”

“I love you too”, he replied, and let go of my hand, as I walked out of the car, back into my house.
