It's all about trust.

Hussain’s POV:

I opened my eyes, only to find that it was already morning. I rubbed my eyes, and stretched my arms..

Hey this doesn’t feel like my bed..

I looked around..

And this is not even my room!

“Sana!”, I exclaimed as soon as I realized, I slept the entire night on her lap. I turned my head around and looked up at her, and there she was, wide awake, staring at her phone.

“Technology ke mazzeyyy…”, I said, in my sleepy voice, and she looked at me and smiled, “Good Morning!”

“Aaj morning toh waqai mein bohot good hai!”, I winked, and she giggled and continued to stare at her phone’s screen.

“Oye?”, I said, to wich she responded with a “Hmm?”

“Sana..idhar dekho toh sahi yaar…”, I said pouting, because her eyes were fixed at her phone’s screen.

“Kya hai ‘Sain?”, she asked, finally looking at me.

“Why didn’t you wake me up at night?”, I questioned her.

She didn’t say anything, but just smiled, and ran her hands through my hair, leaning in closer to my face, and kissing my forehead, making my heart skip a beat.

I raised my eyebrows, “Kiss to dedi, answer bhi dedo!”, I said, as a smirk played across my lips.

“Samajhdar ko ishara kaafi!”, she replied before shifting her eyes back to her phone.

Uff she and her phone!

“Yeh tum hamesha apne phone se chipki hui kyu rehti ho? Kahin koi mera back up to nahi?”, I joked, with my head still on her lap.

“Haan hai na, backup!”, she replied, “Want to see?”

“Mujh se behtar nai hoga!”, I boasted, turning my back to her.

“Dekho na, he’s soooo handsome!”, she teased me, pulling me by my shoulder, attempting to turn me around.

“Mujhe nahi dekhna! Hoga koi gabbar singh, ya kalia jaisa..”, I chuckled, knowing exactly how she would react to that.

‘Whatever’, I mouthed, rolling my eyes, as she said “Whatever….”, and I could tell that she was rolling her eyes at the back of my head.

I couldn’t hold in anylonger, and burst out laughing, and she joined too.

“Ab sara din aise he rehna hai ya uthna bhi hai?”, she questioned.

I chuckled, “Tum kaho toh sara din aise hi rahoon…”

“Uff Hussain..!”, she smacked my arm, “Uthoooo!”

“Uthake dikhao!”, I enjoyed teasing her so much.

“Acha?”, she said, and pushed me with both her arms down onto the floor, and started laughing out loud.

I got up, kneeled in front of her and pouted.

“Awww…Hushain gil gaya?”, she pulled my cheeks with both her hands, “Chot toh nai ayyi, chote she bacche ko?”, she said, talking like a baby who couldn’t speak very well. She was clearly making fun of me, and I just kept rolling my eyes, which made her laugh even more.

“Oye love birds… subah hui ke nahi abhi tak?”, Shehry barged in, all dressed up and ready.

“Oye..kithe?”, I asked him. He hadn’t mentioned anything about going anywhere, the day before.

“I’ll be back in a few..”, he said, waving at us, and walking away.

“Wonder where he’s going…”, Sana looked at me, as if I knew something about it.

I just raised my shoulders nodding, “I don’t know..”

Amna’s POV:

I was tensed. Shehry was coming over, to pick me up, and I had lied to my parents.

Is my life a mess all over again? I’m lying to my parents, going out with the guy they hate, I don’t know if this is right or wrong.

I shook my head, brushing away the thoughts. For once, I decided to let go. I decided to listen to my heart, and stop worrying about everyone else.

**TEXT**

Shehry: Come down!

My phone flashed and I quickly grabbed the bag, that I had prepared for the sleepover and ran downstairs.

“AllahHafiz Mama, Baba..”, I yelled, before opening the door and going out, only to find no one outside.

Where is he?

I looked around, and I saw no one.

Me: Where are you mister?

I texted him, and that’s when a car came and stopped in front of the driveway. He rolled down the window, and signaled me to get in.

“Good Morning!”, I smiled, as I sat in and closed the door.

“Lets go girlll…”, he said driving off.

“Excited?, he asked.

“Hell yeah!”, I exclaimed, throwing my bag towards the back seat.

“Amna.. I need to talk to you about something..”, he suddenly changed his tone to a more serious one, that got me worried.

“kya baat hai?”, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

“I think I wanna talk to your parents right away, cant wait anymore…”, he halted the car, making me lean forward, because of the sudden break.

“Shehry….?”, my heart skipped a beat.

Is he being serious?

He let out a deep sigh, “Yes…”, he turned his face towards me, “I thought about it the entire night, and I think I wanna talk to them now..”

“No..”, I nodded, “They’re never gonna agree..”

He brought his hands closer to mine, and enveloped them within his. “Trust me!”

“But sheh-“, but he didn’t let me finish, and placed his finger on my lips.

“Sshhh!”, he nodded.

He leaned in closer to my face, and whispered into my left ear, “Everything’s gonna be alright. I promise!”, giving me shills, as his warm breath fell upon the side of my face.

He then kissed side of my left cheek, making me shiver, as his cold lips very softly pecked onto my skin.

Taking it as an opportunity, I turned my face sideways, and returned the favor by kissing his left cheek, while his lips were still on my cheek. His stubble tickled my cheek, but I ignored.

“Oye hoye hoye…”, he smiled, “Kya baat hai..?”, making me shy away.

He pulled back, turned the car around, and drove back to my house, and stopped right infront of the driveway.

“Ready?”, he looked at me.

I nodded, although my insides were killing me. My heart was beating way too fats, thinking about what would happen next.

He unlocked the door, and I walked out, toward the door, and rang the bell, while he stood behind me.

I’m so dead! Ya Allah, please save me! Please save us!

I could hear the footsteps, from inside, getting louder which was a sign that one of my parents was getting closer to the door.

The curtain on the glass at the front door moved, and dad peeped from inside.

Did he see Shehry yet?

I was literally shaking out of fear at that moment.

The door opened, and dad gave me a confused expression before his eyes turned towards Shehry, and his expression changed to a shocked one.

He didn’t say anything, or probably he didn’t know what to say cause he wasn’t expecting Shehry.

“Baba.. woh..umm…”,no words escaped my mouth out of fear. My brain just blanked out.

Realizing what I was going through, Shehry stepped forward, “Assalamalaikum.”, he raised his hand towards dad for a hand shake, but dad was still shocked.

“Wa-walaikumsalam..”, he shook hands with Shehry, and stepped aside, to let us enter.

I glanced at Shehry, and then entered my own house, with a fear in my heart, while Shehry followed.

“Kaun hai?”, I could hear Mama asking from the living room, amidst watching her Pakistani drama.

I walked into the living room, and looked at mom, who was also confused seeing me back home, within a few minutes of leaving.

“Amna? Kya hua? Did you forget something?”, she asked, pausing her drama.

I nodded, and shifted my eyes towards the door, as I saw Dad enter with Shehry.

I could tell that mom was really surprised because she got up and just said, “Shehryaar?”

“Assalamalaikum Aunty”, Shehry spoke.

“Walaikumassalam..”, she replied.

My dad gestured him t sit down, and he walked towards the single sofa that was in the corner and sat, while mum and dad sat on the opposite side. I pulled a chair and sat next to dad.

“Uncle..let me get straight to the point..”, Shehry spoke.

Shehry what are you doing?

“Bolo..”, dad said in his strict tone.

“Jo hua, use jaane dein..I want to start fresh!”, he said. His voice showed a sense of fear, and I was just hoping that he wouldn’t mess it up.

My dad raised his eyebrow, and looked at me, and then looked back at Shehry, “Start fresh? Why have you come back after two years?”

“Becausei cant live without your daughter. Whatever happened in the past, was all a misunderstanding. I want to clear it out.”, he spoke. “I wanna ask your daughter’s hand in marriage..”, he paused and then added, “Once again!”

“You think it’s a joke?”, Dad got up, and I got up with him, to calm him down just in case he got angry, “Tum 2 saal baad wapis aake, aise hi..how?”

“Aap ek baar haan toh ke dein, I’ll bring my parents too!”, Shehry got up too.

My dad rubbed his forehead with his right hand, sighing.

“You’ve let my daughter go through a lot already! I don’t know if I should…”, he spoke, and then looked at me, placing his left hand on my right cheek, “I love my daughter very much!”

“That means there’s one thing’s common between us..”, Shehry said, looking at my dad, and then shifting his gaze towards me, “We both love her, more than our lives!”

Uffff!

My dad looked at me, “What do you have to say?”, he asked.

“I troubled you enough, in the past 2 years! Im not gonna say anything..jaise aapki aur mama ki marzi.”, I replied, looking straight into his eyes. I didn’t wann give him or my mom anymore pain. If they didn’t agree this time, I would have no other choice but to listen to them.

“Sit..”, my dad said, sitting back down on the couch, while Shehry sat down too.

“I cant just say yes right away…I need to think about, it and talk to your parents too! Do you understand that?”, he asked Shehry, and he nodded, “Yes I do!”

“Are you sure you can keep her happy?”, Mama interrupted.

“Aunty..”, shehry got up and walked towards my mom. He kneeled down in front of her, and held her hand, “Usko apni palkon par saja kar rakhoonga. Shikayat ka ek mouka nahi doonga. Uske liye jaan bhi hazir hai meri. ”, he said, “Aap ek baar haan kehke toh dekhein, I promise she will be happier than she has ever been!”

His words brought tears to my eyes, and I looked away, in order to hide them. Wiping them away with my hands, I turned back to mom, only to see her eyes filled with tears too.

Shehry wiped away her tears and continued, “Aunty aap ro kyu rahi hain? Please don’t cry. I don’t wanna give you or uncle any tears by taking her away from you. Agara aap nhi chahti hain ki –“, but mama didn’t let him finish.

She interrupted, “Yeh khushi ke aansu hai Shehryaar! I’ve never seen anyone love her this much! Tum isse jitna pyaar karte ho, shayad utna main bhi nahi karti hoon...”

She let go f her hands from within Shehry’s and turned towards Dad, “I think we should talk to his parents.”

“Are you sure?”, baba questioned. “I don’t know I’m confused..”

“Uncle, I understand what you feel.”, Shehr spoke, “Amna is your one and only daughter, and because of everything that has happened in the past, it is difficult for you to even think about this, but I promise you that you will never see a single tear in her eyes again!”

“I need time..”, baba nodded.

“Baba please, ek baar soch ke toh dekhein please?”, I begged, but he raised his hand in front of me and said, “Bas! I don’t want to hear anything..”
