Chapter # 19

"Hello Clark."

"Hello Bruce."

__

Damien curses to himself as he watched Clark and Bruce greet each other. He was currently watching his father and the alien from his window, glaring at the man with glasses.

"This ruins everything!" Damien whispers to himself. He felt his irritation rise when he looked down at his ringing phone, seeing the contact 'Special Help' pop up. Of fucking course Scarecrow had to call him right now.

Damien silents' his phone before heading downstairs, from what he heard, Dick should be in custody of you right now.

"I swear, it's like this world is doing everything in its power to keep you trapped here Y/n..." Damien mumbled to himself. "Part of me is starting to wonder if you really do belong here-" Damien pauses before shaking his head.

"No, I won't be like the others. I know what's right and I'm not going to force you to stay here Y/n."

__

Dick was cradling you in his arms, humming a softly while rocking you. He smiles at you, brushing any stray hairs away from your face. He strokes you face before sighing in content, "I almost can't wait for 'The Cure' to be finished." He chuckles to himself.

"I must agree."

Dick turns around, slightly surprised, to see Clark standing behind him. Dick narrows his eyes but untimely relaxes. "You've finally come I see."  Dick says blandly. "You're lucky that Bruce sympathizes with you."

Clark glares slightly, but it softens when he turns his head to look at you. "How is she doing?" Clark asks, "Has anything.... bad happened in the last few days?"

Dick stays silent for a moment before answering, "Other than the panic attack, and being put on 'medication'?" Dick 'asks' sarcastically. Clark stays silent, giving Dick a reaction would only cause more turmoil, plus he didn't come here to start a fight.

He came here for you.

"Ah, I see you two are getting along quite nicely." Dick and Clark turn to see Bruce walking into the room, Tim following. "If you don't mind, I would like to talk to both of you in the Batcave. Privately." Bruce says before signaling Tim to step forward. "Tim will watch Y/n while we talk."

Clar stares at Bruce, before turning to look at you. "Don't worry Y/n... soon things will be back to normal." He smiles before turning and walking to Bruce. "I'm ready when you're ready." He says plainly.

Bruce nods at him with a smirk before he turns and looks at Dick expectantly.

Dick rolls his eyes and stands up, placing you gently on the couch. "Fine, let's go." He walks over to Bruce and stands next to Clark. "Let's get this over with, I'd rather not spend my afternoon stuck in a cave." He pauses before turning to Tim. "Don't forget the 'medication', ok?"

Tim pulls out the 'medication' before tossing a smile at Dick. "Oh, trust me, I won't." He then turns and heads over to where Y/n is.

Dick turns back to Clark and Bruce, "Let's go."

__

"Why do you need to use the WatchTower? Can't you just use 'The Cure' here?" Clark asks, giving Bruce a confused look.

Bruce shakes his head, "No, I have my reasons." Bruce says mysteriously, "Plus, I was thinking of where Y/n should stay once she's cured. I believe moving her between Gotham and Metropolis might have an effect on her mental health growing up. Plus, things might get hectic when deciding the times that we should have custody."

Clark nods, already feeling a headache coming on just thinking about the topic of custody.

"I need your help Clark, which is why I proposed letting you see her, but also letting me be a constant figure in her life. I don't plan on going back on my word, which is why I'm suggesting that while Y/n is in her younger years of life, we should keep her in the WatchTower."

Feeling his eyes widen, Clark turns to face Bruce, "Are you serious?" He asks. Bruce nods "Of course, the safest place for her would be one constantly occupied by this Univers's greatest defenders. Plus, most of them already know Y/n, and are quite fond of her."

Thinking back to all the times he brought you to the WatchTower and let the other heroes babysit you. Clark had to admit it was true, they all knew you quite well.

-But you obviously don't remember the whole seven years you spent with them. -

-Oh, but trust me, they do. -

"I'll think about it." Clark says sighing.

Bruce nods once again, "Now, let's get on to talking about the procedure, shall we?"

"It's been so long since we've hanged out Y/n!" Tim says as he sets you down the couch inside the library. "I know you're not fully conscious, so that's why I've decided to read you a story instead." Tims smile, before going over to a shelf, searching for his book.

"I know it's around here somewhere... Ah ha! Found it!" Tim shouts. He heads back over to you sitting right next to you on the small couch.

"This story is called 'Princess in the Tower'." Tim chuckles to himself, "Let's start, ok?"

lived a girl name ------. ----- was a happy girl, from a happy family. Though she was not wealthy or poor, she was simply just another civilian.

One day, when walking from the village's schoolhouse, ------ got into accident.

Suffering from great injury, ----- passed, alone and cold, leaving her happy family behind.

Once ----- family got new of her passing, all they could do was cry while they suffered the loss of their daughter, their child.

Their wails of agony and sorrow so loud, that no-one in the land could sleep soundly.

Their cries, so raw and hurt, rung so loudly, even the gods above could hear them.

And hear them they did.

The gods looked down upon the family with pity, and decided to give the girl's family closure, they promised the grieving family that their child would be sent to a world they will be loved.

And so, on the anniversary of ------'s death, the gods revived her soul, sending it to be reborn anew, in world where she'll always be loved.

Now began the princess's life.

+

------ was born into a royal family, one full of love, just like the fairytales ------ use to read before her death. ----- grew with her nurturing and loving family.

But one day the evil Duke, who was a part of the counsel and was good friends with the king, decided to try and cast a spell on the lovely princess.

He went to the mysterious witch and got spell specially made, just for the princess. He decided to wait for the princess's 7th birthday to cast the spell, after all, who would even notice him while the festivities were going on.

+

The day after the party, the princess's brother came to wake her up for breakfast, only to discover the princess had no memory of him!

The evil Duke's plan worked.

In the mist of the chaos, the evil Duke, convinced his good friend the king to lock the princess in the tower, far away from any dangers that might hurt the king's precious daughter ever again.

+

"...And there lays the princess still, lock in a Tower, made from the love of her of her 'family'. The End." Tim finishes. "Honestly, it's like a really bad off-brand Repunzal story." He mumbles. He looks over to you to see that your fast asleep.

"Well at least it got the job done," Tim whispers before picking you up.

"Let's get you to bed, my little princess in the Tower."
