Favorite ♡ Karina

The night was beautiful.

You were sitting in your office, which was on the 8th floor, simply enjoying the view as you typed away on your laptop.

It was nearing the end of your shift and all your co-workers were heading out to go home, but not you.

You were working hard, and you didn't plan to take a break any time soon.

You simply had so much things to take care of, and it would be impossible to finish it all on time.

A sudden knock on the door made you look up from your laptop.

It was your boss, Karina.

"Hey, aren't you going to go home? Everyone's gone." She said, stepping inside your office.

"Yeah, I'll go in a little bit when I'm done." You smiled politely.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel overwhelmed."

Her smile faded as you shook your head.

Karina was concerned for you, not just because you were one of her workers, but because she genuinely took a liking to you.

You were her absolute favorite in the entire building, and she didn't want you to stress.

"Come on, please. Go home. I'll even drive you if I need to."

You realized it was actually starting to be late so you sighed in agreement while closing your laptop.

"Okay. Can you please take me?" You asked her as you gathered all your belongings.

Her heart skipped a beat as she nodded immediately.

"Of course. Let's go."

After a couple minutes, you both were starting to get inside her car, getting ready to leave.

"Thanks for giving me a ride, boss."

"Oh, Y/n, don't call me that. Just call me Karina. No need for formalities."

You nodded as the car ride was silent.

It was a little awkward, to say the least.

And at last, you reached your home.

"Thank you once again, Karina. I appreciate it so much." You told her with a smile.

"No problem. Let me walk you to your front door."

She walked you to your door and once you both reached it, you turned to look at her.

"I hope I can spend more time with you soon. I enjoyed being with you, even though we didn't do much. You're a great woman." She suddenly said which caught you off guard.

But, she wasn't finished.

"I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me this Sunday?"

She was so nervous.

Her heart was pounding inside her chest.

"Of course. I'll see you then." You replied as you kissed her cheek before entering your house.

Karina got into her car and she couldn't stop smiling to herself.

Her stomach was filled with butterflies and she couldn't stop the blush from spreading across her cheeks.

Finally, she drove away, ready for your date with her.
