Chapter 59

"Wake up, you old man. It's your birthday." Louis wakes up by a low voice, feeling small kisses over his face a bit later.

"Mmm, Hazza. I'm nineteen now, not ninety." Louis groans, pulling Harry closer to him, his head burying in his chest.

"Nineteen is old."

"Don't forget I'm in LA when It's your nineteenth birthday. I will literally invite people over to play bingo to celebrate it you attractive dick."

Harry chuckles and kisses Louis hair.

"It's cute when you get aggressive. You are so small..."

"Say that again Styles..." Louis still hasn't opened his eyes and he has a warning tone in his voice.

Harry kisses Louis' bare shoulder.

"As much as I like to argue with you and your morning mood, your mom made you English breakfast. She asked me to get you."

"Are there sausages?"

"You bet there are."

"Okay. First I want a kiss though."

"As you wish, birthday boy." Harry leans in and softly kisses Louis' lips. Louis smiles, butterflies flying around in his stomach. This is definitely the best that his birthday has ever started.

--

After having a quick shower and putting on some clothes Louis goes downstairs.

"Good morning, my boy! Happy birthday!" Jay hugs her son tightly and a smile forms on Louis' lips. "Thank you, mom! This breakfast looks delicious. Why are there so many plates though?"

"What's up, Tommo!" Zayn hugs his best friend.

"Happy birthday, Lou!" Perrie smiles, waiting for Zayn to move aside so she can give her best friend three kisses.

"Oh, guys you are here!" Louis smiles brightly.

"And mom, thank you for making all this breakfast. It must have been a lot of work."

"Don't look at me, this was all Harry. I just helped him." The older woman smiles. "Uncle James is here as well, he is just using the bathroom."

Just in time the older man enters the dining room.

"If that isn't my favourite nephew!" James hugs Louis tightly and gives him three kisses.

"Congratulations, boy."

"Thanks, uncle."

Louis looks around, trying to find Harry.

"He is still in the kitchen. Lottie is helping him to finish the final things." Jay answers her son's questioning look.

"I'm quickly going to see him. I'll be right back. This food looks so good."

Louis leans against the door frame, looking at his boyfriend and his sister.

"Stop throwing foam at me, you tall person." Lottie whines.

"Well, stop hitting me with the tea towel." Harry laughs.

"How are things going here?" Louis interrupts the bickering between his sister and Harry. As much as it was warming his heart to see how his family loves his boyfriend, it's his birthday and he wants attention.

"Hey, Lou! Happy birthday! Need a walker already now? Ready for retirement?" his smaller sister jokes.

"I can't believe this. Did you discuss this with Harry? Are you two planning to bully me all day?" the smaller boy laughs, ruffling Lottie's hair.

"Don't do that, Lou!" the blond says removing herself from her brother. "And by the way, I've been helping Harry making breakfast for you." She smiles proudly.

"I heard, thank you Lots." He kisses his sister on the forehead and then moves his eyes to the curly lad.

"And I heard you planned this." Louis walks over to Harry and pecks his lips.

"You said you didn't want anything big so I thought why not just invite your friends over for breakfast, play some games during the day and do some chilling. I hope you like it? I really was thinking about throwing a surprise party but..."

Louis interrupts Harry by kissing his lips again.

"This is perfect. I love it."

"Stop being all cheesy. There is cheese on the table. You get it? Ahahaha I'm too funny." Lottie is laughing with her own joke which make Louis roll his eyes.

"Yeah, I'm hungry and I'm really curious about the food." Louis grabs Harry's hand and Lottie's with his other hand, taking place on the table.

--

"Yeah! I love presents!" Louis is like a little child when everybody is sitting on the couch, all having a box in their hands.

"Can I give mine first, mom?" Lottie asks, sounding very proud of her present.

"Sure, Lots. Go ahead, give it to your brother."

Lottie stands up and walks over to Louis.

"Here you go. It's not a lot but I bought it with my own savings."

Louis smiles brightly, hugging his sister.

"I'm sure I will love it."

He carefully unwraps the present, a big smile covering his face.

" You remembered that mine is almost full! I really love it, Lots!"

"What did she give you?" Jay asks curiously.

Louis shows a notebook, A5 format.

"It's a notebook. I told Lottie that the one I use to write my songs into was almost full. I quit for a while but now I'm writing a lot again and she remembered! She bought me a new one, looking exactly the same as the one that I have now. It's literally perfect, I didn't think they would still sell these. I bought this one three years ago. Thank you, little sis!"

"If it's okay with you guys, I'd like to give my present now as it matches Lottie's." James smiles.

Curiosity goes over Louis. The man stands up, walking to the hallway. A few seconds later he comes back with a present, making Louis' eye tear up.

"I thought maybe you wanted one again. Lottie told me you were into writing again and..."

"Thank you so much!" Louis hugs his uncle tightly, tears still streaming down his face. It makes Harry's heart really clench. He loves it to see Louis this happy.

"You should play for us. I haven't heard you play in forever." Perrie says pointing at Louis' present. Louis nods, taking the guitar from his uncle. He plays a few chords and puts it aside again. Harry looks at the boy in awe. He had never seen him play the guitar before but the few chords he played were beyond beautiful.

Jay gifted her son a new speaker with LED lights and Zayn and Perrie got him tickets for Ed Sheeran in two weeks. They played games all day like twister, scrabble and uno, they ate Jay's home made red velvet cake. After that they played some music coming out of Louis' new speaker, they ordered pizza and Lottie, James and Jay went over to James' place, leaving the teenagers hang out together. Around ten o'clock Perrie and Zayn decided to leave and now it's just Harry and Louis. Both boys are in the garden, wearing fluffy sweaters and wrapped in several blankets to keep warm. They are watching the stars.

"It's time for me to give you my present." Harry whispers in Louis' ear, kissing his cheek softly afterwards.

"You didn't need to get me a present, love. You have organised this whole day already and, no baby that's too much. Keep it for Christmas, okay?"

"I bought you a Christmas present as well, baby."

"Harry, you didn't have to." Harry can't help but smile when he sees Louis' eyes shining.

"Let's go inside. It's getting cold." Harry stands up and helps Louis up afterwards as well.

"Wait in your room, I'll be back in a bit. Close your eyes. I really hope you like it." Harry's voice sounds nervous which makes Louis smile softly.

"Anything from you makes me happy, baby."

"Okay, open."

Louis' eyes go wide when he sees what Harry is holding.

"Hazza, it's beautiful... This is..." Louis wipes a tear away, being attacked by emotions.

"Do you like it?" Harry is blushing furiously and Louis nods, standing up to take a closer look.

"When did you do this?"

"I started it on our first date. I finished it at night, while you were asleep, in the basement." Harry admits.

"This is perfect. Could you hang it in front of my bed, please? I want it to be the first thing that I see when I wake up every day."

And those words make Harry feel warm inside.

"Of course, baby."

Louis looks at the painting with a bright smile while holding Harry's hand once it's hanging on the wall.

"I love how you even remembered the colour of my beanie and scarf." Louis whispers.

"I remember every single thing, Lou. It's a special day for me."

"Yeah, for me too. Do you think we looked like this?" Louis' blue eyes make contact with Harry green ones.

"I really do." Harry kisses Louis' lips softly before looking at the painting again. Louis' head is resting on Harry's shoulder. This is the most beautiful painting he has ever seen.

The painting of two boys kissing on top of the London Eye.
