Chapter 44

"Hazza!" Louis jumps into Harry's arms when he enters the house. "Finally you are home. Where were you?"

"Lou, hey. You are home so early. I just went for a walk. I was bored without you."

Louis smiles and slowly lets go of the boy.

"Same, that's why I came home. How was your walk?"

"It was okay." Harry smoothly lies. "How was your time with your friends."

"I told them the truth." Louis says making Harry look confused. "I admitted that I might feel attracted to boys and they reacted so well Harry. Okay Zayn weirded me out a bit, but they were so supportive and I think it just brought me a step closer to accepting myself."

A big smile appears on Harry's face.

"I'm so proud of you, Lou. I know this wasn't easy for you yet you did it. I'm really proud of you and I'm so happy they accept you. I knew they would, you are perfect."

Louis blushes and looks down to hide it.

"I'm just scared that I will mess up our date tomorrow, like that you wouldn't enjoy it or would rather have done something else."

Harry smiles at the cuteness of the boy. Really he is way too adorable to handle.

"Whatever you have planned, I know I will love it. As long as I'm with you it's just perfect. Even if you bring me to knitting class or something."

Louis chuckles.

"You might give me some ideas, Styles." He winks.

"Well we are going to do that I'm going to knit you a hot pink scarf."

"I wish you would have told me earlier that you have a knit kink. I will remember it for the next date though." Louis responds sassily. Harry is happy that his sass is slowly coming back, that means he is getting closer to himself again.

"Next date I'm taking you out, babe."

"Love it how you assume there would be a next one."

"You assumed it first."

"Touché."

Both boys stop talking when they hear Jay enter the house. She finished work late today.

"Boys, I have good news!" the woman says putting her bag on the table. "Saturday we are going for the second cultural activity!" she smiles.

"What are we going to do, mom?" Louis jumps on the counter and takes a sip of his glass of water.

"We are going to Manchester, the Christmas market. Is that a nice cultural activity or is that a nice cultural activity?" she smiles proudly.

"That's amazing! We heard about Christmas markets here in England back at home. They say it's amazing and I love Christmas! Oh, I'm so excited!" Harry jumps happily around, clapping his hands. It makes Louis' heart melt and he looks fondly at the boy, not noticing that his mother looks at him with a big smile.

"Okay boys, it's quite late already. You should go to bed." Jay announces.

"Yeah, I'm going to shower first." Louis says, still feeling the need to shower several times a day. It helps him to cope with the fact that Tristan had touched his arm 2 weeks ago.

"Are you sleeping with me again or do you want to sleep in your own bed tonight?" Harry asks as they are walking upstairs.

"I'm sleeping with you."

Harry smiles and nods. "See you in a bit, babe."

--

Louis and Harry are waiting at Zayn's locker, waiting for the couple to arrive at school.

"I hate it that we don't share many classes." Louis sighs.

"Me too. When you come to LA I will make sure we share every single class except for the creative ones."

Louis has a big smile on his face.

"That sounds really good, Hazza. I am honestly so excited to go LA and see how you are living, meet your friends, your family,..." Louis gets interrupted by his best friend.

"Hey, bro!" Zayn gives Louis a bro hug.

"Zayn, what are you wearing?" Louis says, mouth wide open when he looks at the shirt Zayn is wearing.

"I tried to stop him, Louis. I swear I tried to stop him but I couldn't." Perrie facepalms herself.

"Don't you like it? It's a rainbow shirt, Lou! I've made it myself yesterday night after you left. I wasn't good at expressing myself in words so I thought why not show Louis that I have his back."

Harry is chuckling while Louis is just looking at his best friend, jaw wide open. People that are walking passed the group are just giving Zayn a weird look. Usually the guy is dressed in black or white and today he looks like the ambassador of the LGBTQ+ community.

"It's really sweet, Zayn. I get the message." Louis smiles, petting his best friend on the back. "I really appreciate the gesture."

"See, Perrie. He likes it. It's cool." Zayn smirks. Perrie only shakes her head, mumbling that she is going to take her own books from her locker.

"As much as I like to keep talking to you, Zayn. Harry and I have French now." Louis gives his best friend a fist bump and Harry gives him a small wave before they leave.

"Zayn's gesture is so cute." Harry starts talking when they walk to class.

"It is. He looks a bit like a fool but he is the bestest friend ever."

"He really does support you. I'm happy for you, Lou. You deserve people that support you in your life."

"You support me as well." Louis says, making eye contact with Harry's green orbs.

"I do, always will."

"I support you too." Louis shyly smiles and looks at the books in his hands. Harry doesn't answer and just quickly kisses Louis' cheek, making the guy blush even harder.

"What's happening here?" Louis whispers to Harry when almost everybody from French class is gathered together.

"I don't know man."

"Hey, Hanna!" Louis calls over the blond girl that is standing in the crowd.

"Hey, Louis. What's up?" she smiles.

"What's going on? Why is everybody standing there?"

"Oh, they are around Stephanie."

Louis rolls his eyes.

"Does the bitch need attention again?"

Hanna shakes her head.

"No, apparently it's her last day here at school. She is crying badly, telling everyone that she just wants to finish her year here but she can't. Apparently her mother decided to move to Scotland suddenly. They are moving tomorrow already. She has relatives over there and they will stay at her place."

A big smile appears on Harry's face. It worked. When he looks next to him he sees that Louis' eyes are big and full of unbelief.

"Is her whole family going?"

Hanna nods.

"Her brother as well?"

"Especially her brother. Apparently it was his idea."

"Thanks, Hanna. Just excuse us for a second." Louis grabs Harry's hand and pulls him out of class, hugging him tightly.

"They are gone, Hazza!" Happy tears are rolling down his cheeks and Harry feels his shirt getting wet. "They are gone, I'm never going to see them again."

"I'm so happy, baby. I'm so unbelievably happy. You are free now."

Louis nods, wiping away his tears.

"I'm finally free."
