Chapter 21

"From all the boys that walk around in this school you decide to have a crush on Louis Tomlinson. I can't believe you, Harry." Stephanie shakes her head, fingers pinching her nose.

"Okay first of all; You can't just choose who you crush on and my second point; I don't have a crush on Louis. We are just friends." Harry answers, ignoring the math teacher in front of them.

"No need to lie to me, Harry. I have made that mistake once as well. Just try to get rid of your silly crush. Louis is an asshole and he is straight."

"Stop calling him an asshole."

"Crush."

"No, I'm defending my friend like how I defend you as well when Louis talks bad about you. I'm not picking sides here."

"I'm trying to protect you here, Harry. Push those feelings that you have away. Louis is straight and he is never going to see you the same way as you see him. He has been with Eleanor for three years. It's not going to happen."

And yes, those words, really hurt Harry. Because even though he says that he doesn't have a crush on Louis, the boy certainly makes him feel a kind of way.

--

"What was that staring competition you had going on with Harry during lunch?" Perrie smirks.

"I don't know what you are talking about Pez." Louis says copying the notes of the board.

"Don't act like a straight A student you loser. Don't deny it, I have seen it. Do you like him? I haven't seen you look like that at El for like... No scratch that, ever. You never looked at El like that. "

Louis drops his pen, panic rushing through his body.

"I'm not gay, Perrie and I'm in a happy relationship with Eleanor."

"Such a happy relationship that you are ignoring her so you can spend time with Harry."

"I didn't ditch her for Harry. I ditched her for family time."

"Whatever makes you sleep at night, Lou."

"You know what? I'm going to text Eleanor right now. You should be ashamed, Perrie. Eleanor is your friend as well and you are implying that her boyfriend likes someone else."

Perrie stays silent, looking like she knows something that Louis doesn't.

"Just text her, Lou. It's good that you two talk. You shouldn't fight."

Louis takes his phone and texts his girlfriend.

Can we meet up? -L

I'm busy -E

Don't care, I'm coming over after school. -L

Maybe I'm having 'family time' -E

Don't be like that, El. See you in an hour x -L

"I'm going to hers after school." Louis puts his phone away again, not wanting the teacher to take it from him.

"That's good."

"Pez, could you maybe drop Harry off?"

"Worrying about him, right?" Perrie wiggles her eyebrows.

"Shut up!" Louis playfully hits his friend.

"Yeah sure thing. I can drop him off."

Louis takes his phone one more time, texting Harry.

Hazza, Perrie is going to drop you off at home after school. I have to go to El, but we can play Uno when I'm back? Or watch a movie? Xxx -L

Sure, Lou. Thanks for letting me know. I'll see you at home later xxx -H

"Sending x's huh!" Perrie teases Louis.

"Can you just..."

Louis gets interrupted by the teacher.

"Tomlinson, Edwards, enough! Have your little conversation after class! Louis only nods, now listening to the man in front of him. He doesn't really know why he texted El to come over. He really doesn't feel like it.

--

"Don't forget to pick up Harry! He has locker..."

"Locker 28, I know! Don't worry about lover boy, I'm going to bring him home!" Perrie smiles at her friend who is leaving the building.

"I'm just going to ignore your comment and leave. Thanks, Perrie. See you tomorrow."

Louis leaves the school building and drives to Eleanor, which is only a five minute drive; He parks the car in front of the house, and rings the bell.

"Hey, Louis! Come in, boy. Eleanor is in her room." Helena, Eleanor's mother, opens the door.

"Thank you, miss." Louis walks inside, takes off his shoes and walks towards the room of his girlfriend.

"Hey El, wow, what happened here? Why is it so empty?" Louis enters Eleanor's room. Normally it's full of decorations and typically girly stuff, but now it's just an empty coloured cream wall and a bed, that's it.

"Louis, I love you."

Eleanor starts.

Louis' eyes go wide. The 'L' word? No, no Louis is not ready to hear or say that.

"Eleanor, I..."

"No, please, don't interrupt me." The brunette begs "Just sit down and listen to me."

Louis follows her orders and takes place on the bed, crossing his legs.

"I'm scared Louis, because you are everything I ever wanted in life. You are the best boyfriend ever and I don't want to give up on that. I know that our relationship is strong, but I don't think it will survive what I'm about to tell you." Eleanor is nervous and tears are falling down, crashing in the wooden floor.

"Look, El. We just had a silly fight while I was drunk on a party. It's no big deal, no need to make such a drama about that. We both reacted in a wrong way, I'm sorry. Now give me a kiss, babe and then I have to go back home. I have a lot of homework." Louis lies, he only has an assignment for geography that he already finished in class. He just wants to hang out at home.

"I'm not talking about the fight during the party, Lou. It's something else, something worse." Eleanor is playing with her fingernails.

"Go ahead, El, tell me."

Eleanor bites her lip, fighting the shower of tears that are dying to come out.

"You know that my dad is working for that model management company, right?" Eleanor asks.

"Yeah, I know. Eleanor if this is about you being a bikini model or something I am fine with that. It's your body and your choices."

Eleanor smiles weakly.

"You are so perfect, Lou. Oh god this is so difficult. Louis, the company opened a new office in Sydney, Australia and my dad got promoted. He will be the manager of that department. Louis, tomorrow I'm not here anymore. Tomorrow I'm on a flight to Australia, I'm moving "
