Chapter 19

Louis foot is still hurting and he can't really do a lot today. It's annoying him. Louis is a very energetic person and chilling on the couch is nice for one day, but not two in a row. It's noon when Louis finally decides to leave his bed. He really doesn't care. He is only moving from his bed to the couch.

"What have you done, you idiot?" Lottie asks when she sees Louis jumping on one leg.

"Are you already back? Can't you just live with your friend? What's her name?"

"Fizzy and yeah I'd rather live with her than being with you."

"Why did I think it was a good idea to have two children." Jay mumbles, more to herself. "Or just children at all." It makes Harry giggle.

"Good morning, Louis." The curly says to the grumpy teenager. He knows by now that Louis loves to sleep as long as possible and that when he wakes up, doesn't matter early or late, the boy is grumpy as fuck.

Immediately Louis' bad mood disappears and he gives Harry a small smile.

"Good morning, Hazza"

Louis jumps towards the couch and falls down next to his favourite bunch of curls.

"Should I make you some tea?"

"It's fine, Harry I'll go myself. You are not my slave."

"No, no it's fine. Please rest." Harry disappears to the kitchen and comes back within a minute with a cup of tea.

"Thank you." Louis gives Harry an admiring look, and Harry looks exactly the same way at Louis. It makes both Lottie and Jay smile at each other, giving the other a knowing look.

--

"I've got a six! YES!" Louis yells happily while playing frustration with his mom, sister and Harry. Louis loves playing games so much. It's honestly Louis' favourite entertainment.

"Why would you kick me off!" Lottie complains when Louis kicks her off the board. "You could perfectly just put a new one on the board! There was no reason to do this, Louis." Lottie moans, rolling her eyes.

"If you have the ability to kick someone off you should do that. That's the game, Lots. Now don't cry and hand me the dice again please. It's my turn again."

Lottie sighs and throws the dice at Louis' face.

"Lottie!" Jay warns her daughter.

"Yeah, yeah don't be a sore loser."

It makes Harry smile. Louis and Lottie are exactly the same when they play games. Both are the worst losers Harry has ever seen.

"I can't believe you! You had a three! You could kick off Harry, yet you chose to move the other one! What the hell, Louis! You just told me that you have to kick the other off when you can and we are literally at the same round and you don't listen to your own bullshit. God you are so frustrating." Lottie growls.

"Harry is an exception." Louis easily explains, passing the dice at his mother. He gives the curly lad a smile which Harry returns. Harry feels butterflies in his stomach only watching the boy in front of him.

"Jerk." Lottie mumbles under her breath.

"Charlotte, language!" the mother warns.

Louis gives a knowing smirk at his sister and then looks at Harry, giving him a quick wink and bites his lip when he sees the boy getting all red. Harry is cute.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS, HARRY STYLES!" Louis screams when Harry kicks him off the board. "YOU COULD EASILY HAVE DONE SOMETHING ELSE!"

"I remember someone telling me that if you have the possibility to kick someone off the board, you should do that."

"Karma is a bitch, Lou." Lottie smirks, high fiving Harry.

"I can't believe you! I spared you and you did this to me! You took away my chance to win this game." Louis looks at Harry with big sad eyes and a pouting lip.

"You said Harry was the exception, Lou, not Louis." Harry feels smart and he loves teasing Louis. Louis' reactions are just the best.

"I hate you."

"You don't mean that."

"No I don't mean that but still I am very upset."

"Should I bake you cookies after the game to make it up to you?" Harry asks, giving Louis a small smile.

"Chocolate?"

"Chocolate."

"Okay, fine. If you feed me cookies I'll forgive you."

--

The game ended half an hour ago. Jay won, Harry second place, Louis third and Lottie was the last one, making both Tomlinson kids complain and accuse everyone for cheating. It's actually hilarious how similar Louis and Lottie are.

Right now Louis is sitting on the counter, watching how Harry makes cookies.

"Want to try the dough?" Harry holds a spoon in front of Louis' mouth. Louis takes a spoon and tastes the dough.

"That's fucking... Shit Harry that is good stuff. Give me the bowl!"

Harry chuckles.

"Can't do that, Lou. I kind of need the dough for the cookies you know."

"Bullshit, just feed me the dough and I'm happy."

Harry shakes his head.

"You're not getting any dough anymore, Lou."

"Oh, come on!"

Harry takes the spoon, gives Louis an evil look and puts the dough on Louis' face, making the smaller boy squeak.

"You did not..." Louis gives him a shocked expression.

"Oh, but I did."

Louis puts his hand in the flower and throws it in Harry's face.

"LOUIS!" the taller boy screams.

"Don't act innocent, you started this Styles."

Both boys are having a food fight until they hear a woman's voice.

"Louis! Harry! What is going on?" Jay has an angry expression on her face, but can't hold her laughter when she looks at the two boys, both covered in flower and Louis has egg dripping on his head.

"I'm sorry, Jay." Harry apologises immediately.

"Yeah, sorry mom."

Jay shakes her head, but still smiles.

"Please go take a shower the two of you. I'll clean up and finish the cookies."

Both boys murmur a thank you and disappear in a bathroom each.

--

"Yup, the cookies are even better than the dough." Louis says after eating the third one. The family is sitting all together on the big couch, all in their pyjamas. Lottie wanted to wear hers as well if the boys could wear theirs.

"Maybe we can watch a movie?" Lottie suggests.

"I actually like the sound of that." Jay agrees with her daughter. Just as Louis is about to answer, he feels his phone buzz.

Do you want to come over- El

Oh, so we are talking again?-L

I need to talk to you, please come. -El

I can't, my foot is hurt. Can't drive. -L

Can I come to your place? – El

Louis looks around. Lottie is sitting in between her mothers legs and Harry is dressed in a cute mickey mouse pyjama. He is sitting really close to Louis, almost snuggling, as they are all on the couch. It's been a long time that Louis and his family were like this, and the smaller boy thanks Harry for it. He has a good influence on all of them.

No, we are having family time. See you tomorrow at school. Won't answer your texts anymore -L.

Louis puts his phone away, turned off. He leans against Harry's shoulder as he hears the first notes of 'Circle of life'. Automatically Harry wraps his arm around Louis and the smaller boy doesn't protest. It's been a long time ago that Louis has felt this good and this safe. Jay quickly takes her phone and snaps a picture of the two boys, knowing that they would love to have that one day.
