My name is Changmin. I'm a 31 years old korean girl. My dream was to create a show to form a Kpop group.

I formed Swing Entertainment in 2018.

The show Produce 101 did very well and my friend Hwang Seungoo, director of Wake One Entertainment wanted to try making a show too.

We wanted to show Korea that foreigners can be very strong and totally fit Korea.

I've done this before with the old survival shows.

Seungoo and I chose the members. We would ideally need 30 Korean, 30 Japanese and 30 Chinese.

Seungoo will select the Koreans, since she is not used to judging foreigners.

While I had selected almost all the participants, I came across a video that caught my attention.

A small text was delivered with.

"Hello. I would like to apply for the show Girls Planet 999. I know that the show asks to be Japanese, Korean or Chinese but I wanted to try my luck. I am a French-American girl of almost 18 years old. I speak Korean, since I learned it with lessons in France. I also took singing, dancing and rap lessons, just like a trainee. I hope you will consider my application.
