Friday rolled around , and anna had been reminding hazel , sage and i ever since we got invited. she was always excited when partys were brought up around school , for some reason she likes being drunk and around sweaty , intoxicated , horny teenagers for hours.

partys are fun and all , i just don't enjoy them as much as she does.

fezco had told me earlier he was gonna be busy today , meaning he most likely wouldn't go to the party. but he didn't want me going without him or ashtray , so he told ashtray to go with me.

ash didn't seem to want to go , but he gave in after done convincing from fez.

and so now , i was finishing my makeup and the two of them were sitting in the living room watching tv.

grabbing my phone , i walked out of my room and to the living room , almost immediately being looked up and down by ashtray.

him doing this has never made me feel nervous , more judged than anything. but this time i got nervous , making me rock back and forth on my feet as i waited for fez to stand up.

once he did , i wasted no time hurrying behind him out the door , and this time i LET ashtray get the front seat.

ashtray looked at me through the side mirror , only for a quick second before fez started the car and made his way to the party.

i texted the group chat i have with anna , hazel and sage to let them know i'm on my way , before setting my phone down and looking out of the window until i saw road that had car parked down the street , all leading to a big house.

i took a deep breathe , fezco stopping the car and then speaking up. "i'll be back to pick y'all up , be safe. alright?"

i nodded , opening my door after ashtray.
"bye , fez!"

he waved at both me and ashtray as we made our way up to the house , not standing too close together.

and once we were inside , we parted ways. he went to his friends that called him over and i went to look for my three friends.

i stood in the middle of drunk teenagers , looking around the room until i jumped when i felt two hands grab my shoulders.

"mal!" i relaxed once i saw it was hazel , turning my body around to look at her.

she smiled , grabbing my hand and leading me somewhere , and eventually i was with the three of them.

"hey mal!" anna shouted over the music , dancing with sage near some chairs and other people , clearly tipsy.

that happened quickly. i thought to myself.

"hey!" i greeted her back , grabbing the shot from hazels hand as she handed it to me.

anna cheered , watching me take the shot fast. before coming to my side to join me in taking another one.

once she had went back to sage , starting to dance again. i felt eyes on me , so i started looking around the room until i locked eyes with miles. he was standing next to the same girl he was leaned against the other day , in school.

before i could react , hazel grabbed me and lead me to dance with her , sage and annalise.

i shrugged off the jealousy , remember the person i truly wanted to be with was ashtray. and danced with my friends , keeping a smile on my face the whole time.

after about 10 minutes , i got tired and walked over to the chairs that were around and took a seat.

i poured myself another shot , and then watched my friends continue dancing. laughing once anna almost lost her balance , grabbing onto sage , almost bringing her down with her.

i watched as a guy came up behind anna , whispering something in her ear. whatever it was , caused her to turn to me with a smirk. i raised my eyebrows in return , watching her take his hand and move a little father away to dance with him.. on him.

hazel and sage laughed , coming to my side and taking a seat.

"i'm gonna use the bathroom!" i shouted over the loud music , turning to them.

"be careful!" sage shouted back , and i gave her a simple nod as i made my way to find the bathroom.

after opening random rooms , exposing a couple people 'in action' , i finally saw a door open , that one was the bathroom.

but just as i was walking to the door , two people pushed passed me. and it just so happened to be miles and that girl. they didn't even go in the bathroom , just leaned against the wall right beside it.

i don't know if he was doing this on purpose , but there's many other places to make out , and he just so happened to end up where i was going.

i groaned , turning around to walk away only to bump into someone.

"oh- sorry." i responded , looking up to meet eyed with no other than ashtray.

he glanced at miles , before putting his eyes back on me. and he didn't move an inch , causing us to be insanely close together.

i don't know if it was the alcohol , or the pounding headache i had , or just me realizing. but ashtray looked great right now , every part of him. his face , his outfit.

"what are you doing?" he asked me , still standing in the same spot.

"i was going to the bathroom but.." i answered , pointing at miles and that girl with my thumb.

he chuckled a little , probably thinking i was jealous. when in all reality , i was happy to be standing with him right now and not miles.

"where have you been all night?" i asked , looking from his eyes to his lips a couple times.

he turned a little , pointing to a small group of people. getting a nod in response , it became awkward from the silence between us.

all that could be heard was the loud music and the shuffling from miles behind me.

i started to say "i'm gonna go." but was stopped by lips connecting with mine , i jumped in shock but it didn't take long for me to ease into the kiss.

i put my hands on the sides of his face , as his hands were on my waist.

"oh my god."
"no way."

i could make out who's voices that was , even if they were sorta quiet.

we pulled away for air , both of us looking over to see hazel and sage peeking around the corner.

i shook my head , laughing. and turned back to ashtray.

"gonna tell me to pretend this kiss didn't happen too?" he asked , giving me a smirk which let me know he was joking.

i rolled my eyes playfully , letting my hands go from his face to by my side. "no."
