Dabi's p.o.v

How foolish, beer pong he said? I have horrible aim. We've been knocked off 5 cups since the game started, maybe I underestimated beer. I will say though, it tastes like absolute shit.

I could see Hawks way more than tipsy and sharing his laughs with our opponents. He knew we were losing badly, but that was the least of his worries, this was all for recreational purposes. The game reached a point where even I started giggling, how embarrassing.

"Okay okay we were able to land them some cups, now there's one left on each side! We can do it" I hear the blonde male cheers and hands me the white ball. I practically walk side to side to the front of the table to aim, however, I clearly wasn't in the state to do so.

I feel a strong grip surround my waist and I quickly look behind to see Hawks smirking at me like some devil. I choke on my words as I notice how close our faces are to each other and how I can feel his breath on me.

"You have to stay still if you want to land that shot, Dabi"

His gaze pierces mine and I could feel his hands stabilizing my stand. He shortly lets go and I realize that moment didn't even last a minute, but it felt like an eternity. Words couldn't come out of my mouth, instead, I replied with my face flushed in pink, but I think he was too out of it to even notice. So I try my best to stay still and shoot, and surprisingly, the ball fell right into the last red cup.

The people around us who were dedicated to watching our game jumped up and down, their loud noises filling the room. I turn over to Hawks who smiles at me, I give him a smile in exchange, something that I didn't expect to happen either. He flapped his wings in excitement and hooked his hands on my shoulders and said "I knew we were going to win, guess that makes you my lucky charm!". A lucky charm? Fuck, why is he being so sweet. My heart feels overwhelmed, nobody has ever given me such a compliment.

The night goes on and I continue to gulp down the drinks handed to me by Hawks, who didn't seem to leave my side. We had jumped from group to group, and I got to know my classmates better, I guess they aren't all that bad. It's hard to admit, but I was having the time of my life.

My phone begins to vibrate and I pick it up. Father. Oh no. Why was he calling me this late? Did something happen? Does he know I'm at a party? "What's up?" I hear my beer pong partner ask in a tone of mixed curiosity and concern since my expression had switched up so fast.

"I uh.. I have to go, sorry"

"You're in no state to take a call, I mean nobody here is! Tell them you're busy~"

"No.. Sorry Hawks I have to go, goodnight, tell the others I had to go"

This call reverted me back to my sober self and I rushed to my room, pushing against people and running up the steps because the elevators were being used for couples and whatnot.

"Yes? Father?"

"Big brother Touya?"
