Dabi's p.o.v.

I wake up in a cold sweat, and in a foreign position. I'm laying on my back on a couch in the common area. My eyes shift around the room to see if any of my classmates were around, but I was mistaken. The windows show a pitch-black sky, meaning that it was still nighttime. The brightness of my phone screen hits me as I look at the hour. 3:05 a.m.

I definitely don't remember moving from outside to here, so how the fuck did I get here? Did somebody carry me here? Or was it all just some dream?

The week flies away faster than I thought it would and it's now a Thursday afternoon. I heard the students talk about a party to let loose, but I'm not interested. Not because I hate parties, but I don't have anyone to spend my time with. Making friends hasn't always been easy for me, especially because most of my childhood involved being locked in my house. So I didn't really take it to heart when I wasn't invited directly, shit, I wouldn't even know what to drink.

I close my book and place it on my nightstand before diving into my laptop to finish some work. Suddenly, three loud knocks hit my door and instantly gets my attention. It could be just some jerks trying to mess with me, so I don't give in. The knocks are still continuous, and it was enough to annoy me and get me on my feet.

But when I go to open the door, nobody was there. Is this some kind of joke?

It doesn't take me long before I realize I have to go to the bathroom. I walk out of my room again, scanning my hallway just in case I bump into someone. Successfully, I make it through my mission and I'm just about to lock myself in my room again until I look down to the first floor and I see a wave of people socializing.

Should I join them? Will I be made a laughing stock? They wouldn't want the weird kid invading their party... would they? Fuck it, high school isn't forever.

I don't think about my decision twice and change into a casual outfit. This impulsive action might make or break me, I don't know what I'll do if I "kill" the party, probably leave school. I rush to the elevator that it drops me in the communal area. I realize it's not just our class, but seniors as well. I receive smiling faces as I make my way to what seems like a "bar" area.

"Look who made it!"

A heavy arm wraps around my neck and I turn my head to see who it was.

Oh, it's Hawks.
