Chapter Two ✘ No Comment
"Kennedy, I got a whole lot of action this weekend from your little comment you made on the gram," I said as I sat down and watched Kennedy and Kim play ping pong.
"Oh my God," Kennedy said as she bent over to pick up the ping pong ball that fell.
"The amount of action I received," I said.
"I feel so bad," Kennedy said.
Joshua had called me earlier about the conversation he had with Kim and Kennedy because of what happened on social media the day before, and Kennedy's comment was now affecting Joshua and our family.
I deleted the comment because I felt I needed to keep certain things private in my life, especially when it involves people who can't defend themselves. My life is about protecting things that deserve protection, and I don't want to overexpose certain areas of my life.
"I fucked up for commenting that, and I'm so sorry; I apologized to Josh when he called me," Kennedy said.
"I'm getting bombarded with text messages, and my publicist is saying, 'Oh my gosh, all these media outlets want answers,'" I said.
"Like I understand why everyone is nosey but come on, they are dramatic over a bit of comment," Kim said.
I hadn't been able to decide how I felt because of all the outside noise.
"I don't want my peers, people I love and respect, to look at me and be like, 'Oh this b**ch.' Josh and I are dealing with a delicate situation, and the social media feedback has made things harder," I said.
"Yeah, you have to make things clear like hey, this is not your business; this is my life," Kennedy said.
"When all this outside noise is not around me, we are great. It's enjoyable. It's easy," I said.
"I thought you had tougher skin; what happened?" Kim asked.
"Recently, I would say I'm affected by what people have to say. I'm not even able to make up my mind because I'm so flooded with everyone else's opinions," I answered.
"Khloe, that's not okay," Kennedy said.
"You need to worry about yourself and not other people's opinions," Kim said.
"I know," I said.

The next day, Malika, Kim, and I hang out.
We talk about Kanye running for president.
But Kim shuts it down quickly.
I can tell it is affecting her.
Later, Kendall comes to sit outside with Malika and me.
We talk about babies.
Kendall has been thinking a lot about babies and family since she was alone during the pandemic.
We joke that she can borrow one of the kids to see how she does. We plan to give her Reign or Ace.
Later, Malika brings Kendall, her son, to babysit for the day. She gives Kendall instructions on how to care for a boy. Kendall looks a little concerned.
Kendall has trouble feeding the baby. He cries after he scratches himself with her finger.
Meanwhile, Malika and I are eating at McDonald's.
Later, Kendall tells Malika and me it was easy.

The next day, We were having lunch when mom started talking about how she was worried for Kim.
"I don't know. I just feel like she's struggling a bit," Mom said as I texted Joshua.
"With all this stuff going on," Mom said.
I looked up from my phone and out the window as Kim was outside on the phone trying to deal with Kanye.
"I just think she needs support," Kourtney said.
"Why don't you guys do something for her that you think she'd like to lighten the whole energy that's always surrounding her lately," Mom suggested.
"That's a good idea," Kennedy said.
"Yeah, we could do something in the backyard for her," Kourtney said.
"Yeah, a little backyard slumber party would be good for her," I said.
"Good," Mom said.

Later that night, Kourtney, Kim, Kennedy, and I were in the backyard in our warm clothes, after dinner and doing small things that we knew would make Kim relax and stress-free.
Now we are ready to give Kim a therapy session to tell us how she's feeling.
"So, how are you and Kanye now?" Kourtney asked, taking charge of the session.
"Moseying on along," Kim answered.
I chuckled at Kim's choice of words.
"Moseying on along," I repeated.
"I talked with him; he called me the other morning. I meant to tell you," Kourtney said.
"About me?" Kim asked.
"He said it would be nice to be able to like say things; I said yeah, say what you want to say maybe it'll start people thinking a certain way or getting a thought in their head but did you have to say those tweets publicly and he said no you're right I shouldn't say that publicly," Kourtney said.
"Yeah," I said.
"Like it's better to say it one on one," Kim said.
"It wasn't like an argument. We were just clearing it up, I guess," Kourtney said.
This is exactly what we're not supposed to be talking about tonight, so I changed the subject.
"Okay, let's drink," I said as I clapped my hands.
"What are we saying, cheers?" Kourtney asked as she raised her shot glass. "To Kim," Kourtney says.
"Oh," I said.
"What? To me?" Kim asked as she picked up her shot.
"Yes, To Kim," Kennedy replied.
"Get on in there," I said.
"We're doing this for you," Kourtney said.
"For you, because we wanted some quality time with you," I said.
"Yeah," Kennedy said.
