2 - please stop taking my picture

When we landed, paramedics immediately surrounded us. I had to nudge Hawks to let me down because he wouldn't let go. While the paramedics were working on him, I went to pick up the little boy who was looking at his older brother.

"You saved him," he softly said against my ear.

"Of course, sprout." I hugged him tightly, "I did pinky promise." The officer was giving me a look and I knew what she was thinking. "Flower bud, where's your mommy? That way I can let her know you're safe."

He sniffled. "She's working."

"Do you know where?" He shook his head. "Do you know her phone number?" He nodded. "Can you give this lady the number so she can call her?"

"Okay."

I handed him to the officer and made my way to the paramedics. After they confirmed that he was going to make it, the huge weight on my shoulders disappeared and I felt like I could finally breath. I turned back to the apartment complexes and saw that the fires were being put out by firefighters and heroes who had water quirks. Hawks was surrounded by his adoring fans and reporters. He looked so natural in the spotlight and there's no doubt in my mind that he loved the attention. Not wanting to be caught in the spotlight, I tried to quietly leave the scene.

Key word is tried.

My feet didn't even take three steps before the attention that was given to Hawks was redirected towards me. At an instant, I was surrounded by reporters and civilians. They were taking pictures of me and I never felt so out of place before.

"Miss, what's your name?"

"What's your quirk?"

"Where did you come from?"

"What does it feel like saving the lives of two kids?"

Before I could answer the name first question, a reported answered it for me.

"You're the Flower Hero: H/N, right?

I nodded. "I am." Thank god I didn't have to introduce myself.

"Why did you come to Fukuoka?"

That's the million dollar question. "I wanted to start fresh," I answer truthfully, "and my high school mentor, Fat Gum, recommended me to move to this city." Please stop taking my picture. I hate this. Then a lightbulb turned on inside my head. "But the real work is all thanks to Hawks. He was the one that rescued everyone else, even pulled me out of the burning apartment."

Without giving it a second thought, all the reporters and civilians returned their attention to Hawks. He turned to look back at me with his piercing golden eyes. I gave him a small salute before quickly and quietly leaving the scene.

No wonder Aizawa hated the attention of the media. That was literal hell.

I hid in an alleyway and quickly jumped between the two buildings, giving myself a boost with an air petal. The sun was setting and I needed to get the last of today's sunlight before I head back to the my agency. I took a deep breath and sat against the railing. My heart was going crazy inside my chest and I tried my best to ease the anxiety, but tears were already started to form in my eyes. I rubbed my eyes, not wanting to let the tears fall.

Okay. Okay. Okay. I think the tears have stopped.

My opened and closed my eyes a few times, and when I finally opened them normally, I was staring at a pair of golden eyes.

"There you are, chickadee."

Instincts kicked in and I grabbed a dagger that's hidden within my costume and held it towards with winged hero.

"Woah, woah," Hawks flew back a bit and gave a nervous chuckle. "It's just me, baby bird."

"I know." I sighed and put the dagger away and got up. "How did you find me?"

A red feather flew behind me and landed perfectly between Hawk's fingers. "Seems like one of my feathers got stuck to you."

I nodded my head. "Okay. Well, bye."

As I tried to get past him, Hawks grabbed my arms and twirl me around, letting me fall on his arms. "Wow, H/N," his voice was filled with cheekiness, "seems like you're falling for me."

What the fuck is happening? I faked smile. "You're wrong."

"What do you...?" I didn't let Hawks as I maneuvered my body around, letting him fall towards the floor. Unfortunately for me, his wings caught him before he could touch the concrete.

I bend down, making eye contact with him. "It seems like you're the one falling for me."

Hawks just stared back at me, dumbfounded with what happened. I grabbed a grey petal and activated it, making it create a small gust of wind. This time, his butt finally touched the concrete and I was satisfied. Like before, I gave him a small salute before turning around, ready to jump to the next building. I landed perfectly and as I was walking towards the edge of the building, I saw Hawks fly backwards next to me.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"You're going to trip."

He laughed carelessly. "No, I'm not. Don't go changing the topic, birdie."

As I jumped to the next building, I felt the same pull on the back. I look towards Hawks and saw that a feather was returning back to him.

"Thanks, but I didn't need the help." I moved my hair away from my face. "I've been doing this for a couple of years."

"And I've been flying since I was a kid, so..."

Hawks deployed two feathers from his wings and redirected them towards me. At an instant, I was being flown upwards, with Hawks following. Then the feathers and I felt myself falling, but Hawks caught me in his arms.

"I think I know a thing or two about feeling being up in the skies."

I scrunched his shirt into my closed hands, making sure in keeping my eyes shut so I won't accidentally look down. Heights don't scare me, but as soon as I look down, all the colour drains from my body.

"So, what's your name, H/N?" Hawks gleefully asked.

"Can you put me down?" I pleaded.

He chuckled and did a twirl. "Not until you tell me your name."

For fuck sakes. "It's Y/N!"

Hawks landed us on the roof of the nearest building. Mom, is this what it's like being a fucking Pro Hero? Having someone almost because you won't give out your fucking name. All I could hear was Hawks laugh at my expression.

"See?" He had the most amused smile I have ever seen. "Was that so hard? Y/N. That's a pretty name. I like it."

"Fuck you," I exclaimed while holding out the middle finger to him.

"Now, now," Hawks placed a finger under my chin and lifted my head up. "Is that anyway to talk to talk to a hero?" I really hated to admit it, but he has the prettiest eyes. There was just something about them that made my heart skip a beat.

"It is," I pushed myself away from him, "especially if that hero is you."

I looked around the city. This wasn't my first time in Fukuoka, and I've been living here for about three months, but I still don't really know the layout of the city. Thanks for Hawks, I lost my way and now I have no idea where my agency or apartment are at. If I call Aimi, my secretary, then she can help me. Right? Right. No. You can do this, Y/N. You can find your way home. I took my phone out and opened the maps app. I kept staring at it until I realised something. I haven't memorised my address yet.

"Do you need help, songbird?" Hawks asked as I felt him look my shoulder. "Oh? You don't have to worry about that. I'll just take you home myself, at my trademark speed."
