Welcome Home

Hey there,

Thanks for reading and supporting me. It's nice!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Y/n Is lurched forward and was driven to awaken from a lovely dream he couldn't remember. He looked around, Remembering he had entered the Truck belonging to an unknown group. The Truck jolted its passengers about as his eyes landed on the familiar face of Agenta, who sat opposite him.

The lady in question was staring at him with a blank look and raised eyebrow. His eyes darted to the watch on her wrist and noticed the time. Was it evening?! He had been asleep over 12 hours?!

His eyes darted back up to her face, and he noticed the amused glint in her glowing eyes. She must have seen the look of shock on his face. He decided to take another look around and observe the other passengers.

Both Agenta and himself were sitting between at least a dozen armed guards. Soldiers? He wasn't sure, but they were all armed, that's for sure. Of course, he couldn't see their faces as they all wore helmets and visors, but he could easily guess a few races among them.

Halos were a big giveaway so that one was a Sankta. That one had wolf ears and a tail, so a Lupo, then? He could pretty much guess all the races by these features alone.

Before he could continue studying his armed and faceless travel companions, Agenta decided she would speak. Did she even sleep herself? She hadn't just woken up.

"I'm guessing you have questions?" Her voice is short and sharp.

"That's an understatement." He replies, making some armed guards sitting around them in the confined space chuckle.

Agenta looks at both rows of seated guards around Y/n and herself, glaring at them, Silencing them quickly.

"Once we arrive, All will be clear, I assure you."

"Arrive where?" He questions.

She drops the glare and turns back to him with lidded eyes, giving him a faint smile "Home."

Once she said Home, Y/n's mind turned back to Rhodes Island, and Kal'tsits face appeared. He knew how he felt. He may only have been at Rhodes Island for a few months after waking, but he put the pieces together. Kal'tsit was his Ex-Wife. She tried to hide it, but he wasn't stupid.

Y/n did not know what hurt more. That Kal'tsit hid it all from him or the fact she divorced him when he could not speak his piece on the matter. Didn't she need his signature? It was absent on the divorce papers. I guess she was free of him now. He knew they would meet again, but she would ask for his help next time. He will make sure of it.

While Y/n was sitting there for a few minutes thinking, he felt something in his pocket vibrate. He instinctively tried prying it out to look and only just now remembered he had his work phone. He thought he had left it behind. He looked at the screen to see dozens upon dozens of messages, emails and missed calls!

Upon a closer look, he noticed many names, Kal'tsit, Amiya, Closure, Nearl, Silence... The list of names was unending. But, unsurprisingly, Kal'tsit was bombing his phone the hardest. So he decided to turn off his phone and pocket it for later.

"Lady Agenta! We have arrived," Came a deep voice from an overhead speaker, catching everyone's attention. Everyone started grabbing their weapons and gear, ready to move.

Y/n was about to speak up when Agenta grabbed a coat from a storage container under her seat and threw it at him. Catching it on instinct and saw it was a winter coat.

"You will need this," Agenta stated, giving no further information.

Once again, he was about to speak when the door of the Truck he came in through opened, and a freezing, snowy blast swept through the compartment. Y/n got the hint from his already shivering body and put on the coat, following the others out of the Truck, Being the last to leave. He didn't even see them go!

He stepped out of the Truck onto the snow-covered ground and looked around at what could only be described as a frozen wasteland. He could barely see through the snow-swept storm. There was nothing else. There were no buildings, nothing. Y/n was worried.

"Follow" was all he got from Agenta's louder voice over the storm as she gestured him to her with her hand. The guards surrounded them, blocking some of the snow blasts. The Sankta guard pulled up Y/n's winter coat hood and patted his shoulder, earning a nod from Y/n.

They had only walked a few meters before Y/n noticed Agenta was not wearing any winter clothes. Wasn't she cold?

Without warning, the storm ended and reduced to a light snowfall. Y/n looked around in confusion. Finally, he turned to Agenta with a lost look.

Agenta didn't say anything but gave him a sideways look. She's not one for conversations, is she?

Y/n heard a low humming sound in the distance, slowly getting louder. He was looking around to find the source. Agenta put her arm out and stopped him, moving, preventing the group.

Agenta turned to him fully and gave a proud smile that looked like she was forcing it.

"Welcome to your new home, Mr Y/n."

He looked around a second time, then back at her blankly.

"You feeling okay?" He asks, highly unamused. Apart from Agenta, Causing the group to snort in amusement.

The humming got louder.

He looked behind Agenta and noticed the wasteland was shimmering and started moving. Wide eyes shifted between Agenta and the anomaly behind her until his focus fell completely on what suddenly appeared before him.

Being shocked was an understatement.

A massive base in the snow just appeared?! A cloaking device, perhaps? Rhine labs wish they had something that advanced. But, of course, if they heard of this place, all-out war would start. Heck, all governments would be swarming this place.

Judging by its layout, Y/n could easily see many sections that must have weapon systems, each with its designated kill zones. A place like this must be able to fight back with deadly efficiency.

"Well? what do you think?" Agenta stands next to him, looking at the structure with him.

"Impressive, But I see no markings or names. So what's the name of your company? Is it even a company" He fires off questions excitedly?

"This place is known as 'sector 001', so there is no real official name, but I think that will soon change. As for the company, that may also change,"  She states, giving him clear hints.

"Agenta!" another feminine figure screams from the structure's massive entrance, "Stop standing there! We are exposed!"

Agenta rolls her eyes at the distant screaming figure.

"Come on, Y/n. First, we shall get you settled in, and then myself and my colleague, who is screaming at me, will answer your questions." Agenta says in annoyance at her colleague and walks briskly towards the towering structure. Y/n and the guards follow quickly after her.

In Lungmen, A distracted Kal'tsit and Distressed Amiya have finished their meeting with Wei Yenwu. The meeting was a success, but neither had much to celebrate.

Madam Ch'en had asked about the Doctor during the meeting. Wei Yenwu expressed an interest in meeting the great strategist of Rhodes Island. Everyone in that room quickly caught onto the diving mood.

They would find out eventually, so they admitted to the Doctor's Resignation, Earning a surprised look from Wei and a snort from Madam Ch'en.

But with or without the Doctor, Rhodes Island would assist Lungmen against Reunion.

Kal'tsit and Amiya had stopped Madam Ch'en in the corridor after the meeting.

"Ah! Madam Ch'en," Amiya calls out, stopping the lung in her tracks.

"What is it, Miss Amiya" She replies formally.

"Could you help us look for the Dokutah? He may be in Lungmen."  Amiya pleads.

"Hmph, Like I haven't got anything better to do. Reunion at our door, and you want me to look for a man that made his choice?" Ch'en says, trying not to look into Amiya's large pleading eyes.

Kal'tsit decided to interject, "We are not asking for you to divert manpower to search for him, Only for L.G.D to keep an eye out for him."

Ch'en sighs in irritation but nods. Rhodes Island is helping them. She will put out the word for her people to look out for him.

"Fine, but the security of Lungmen is my top priority!" Ch'en states before walking off without waiting for a reply and leaving the two women in the corridor.

Amiya shouted thanks but looked down sadly after Madam Ch'en had left. Kal'tsit rubbed her forehead in fatigue and pulled out her phone, hoping Y/n had replied to any of her messages, but she had received none. Kal was starting to feel physically Ill. She needed him.

Kal'tsit placed her free hand into her side pocket and felt a cold metal band moving between her fingers. Pulling it out and looking at the smooth golden ring in dismay. A memory of a happy time.

"Where are you, Y/n?"

Done!

Not bad, if I may say so. I know there is no action currently, but I'm not rushing.

It's not the destination. It's all about the journey.

Trying to complete chapters between work isn't easy. Most of this chapter was completed yesterday, but I had to stop because I had to work early. My apologies
