Prelude To Diplomacy

Hey!

The meeting with Chief Wei will be two-part. This chapter is the lead-up.

Let's get to it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Y/n or Farsight, as everyone now knew him, was standing outside the residence of Wei Yenwu, which resided in the middle of the city, close to the LGD Headquarters. Farsight was standing at the side of a busy street, watching people go about their daily lives without a care.

No civilian or LGD officer in the street reacted to his presence simply because he couldn't be seen with his stealth generator active. He would have stood out like a sore thumb if they could see him. In addition, he wasn't wearing his battlesuit or essential synthetic body glove. He opted for something in between.

Red upper armour, a large white helmet and a smaller version of the sword his battlesuit uses. He would still be taller than most people he encountered and just as intimidating. How Mal-Mal continued to create armour for him and fight to take a city is a mystery to him, but he was still grateful.

Farsight noticed the time was getting close to midday. So negotiations with Wei were about to begin two days after his planning with Misha. Not that Wei was aware of this meeting. All he needed now was for his Diplomat to show herself, and then they would make an entrance.

"Commander?"

"Gah!"

Farsight was so into his thoughts that he blanked the incoming individual appearing on his helmets HUD. He turned to face the shorter Ursus girl and was about to scold her but stopped when he got a good look at her. She may have trained to fight and had standard armour that other soldiers of his Division had, but as his Diplomat, he decided he needed her to stand out. He spoke with Mal-Mal about the need for an outfit for his new Lungmen Diplomat.

Mal-Mal doesn't disappoint when he needs outfits, and Misha certainly doesn't disappoint in wearing them.

(A.N. Clothes are what Misha is wearing! Her top goes down about mid-thigh, and she has form-fitting leggings with small gripped shoes.)

Misha stands there, looking up at him with a confused look, unable to see his slight blush through his helmet. Her face was uncovered, and her sizeable round hat protected her from the sun rays above. Her bear ears sticking through holes in the hat, wiggling occasionally.

"Commander?" Misha tilts her head to the side. "The tech I have isn't faulty. Are you standing there?"

Farsight might be invisible, but Misha isn't, and she's already drawing attention to herself with her appearance and the fact she's standing in a crowded street and talking to something that's not there. People are giving her weird looks, or some shady characters are leering at her form.

"Ah, Yes... I'm here. Are you ready?" He regains his composure.

"As ready as I'll ever be... I think." Misha looks at the building and the LGD officers outside with worry, which Farsight picks up on.

Farsight places his large hand on her shoulder and reassures her. "Don't worry If they attempt to arrest or even touch you, I will reveal myself, and you will inform them I'm your bodyguard."

"I know, I know... we've been over the plan enough times..." Misha rolls her eyes but smiles.

"Well, don't let me stop you" He points towards the building entrance. She might not be able to see him, but the optics in her eye can see his outline easily enough.

Misha takes a deep breath and walks as confidently as she can up to the LGD officers guarding the building of the Chief of Lungmen.

Unknown to Misha but now known to Farsight, a figure has appeared high up on one of the buildings and seems to be watching Misha's every move. His helmet's advanced optics quickly discover who it is.

"So, you've finally found her, Skullshatter?" Farsights speaks aloud, but with his helmet's audio switched off, only he could have heard it. He sees Skullshatter press into his ear as if he's talking to someone before walking out of sight.

Farsight nods to himself with a grim expression and whispers to himself. "I won't let Misha die because of your manipulations and spitful view of the world."

Misha got closer to the building, and it wasn't long before LGD officers and one officer without a helmet, he was in charge here, looked at her with suspicion.

"Stop!" The helmetless officer, up close, was a male Lung, he demanded while holding out his hand.

Misha stopped and smiled at the officers. Misha bowed. "Greetings, officers. I want to speak with Chief Wei Yenwu."

The lung officer stared at her before, chuckling. "Is that so? Why would Chief Wei want to speak with you, little Ursus" The officer mocked, looking at her bear ears. Farsight had gripped his sword and was ready.

Misha glared at the cocky man in front of her. "Because... I am here to speak on behalf of the Farsight Enclave!"

The Lung officer stopped smirking and quickly glared at her. The other officers around tensed upon hearing who she was working with. The Lung pulled out some handcuffs and grinned at her. "Then you know where you're going, then?"

"Are you a fool?" Misha glared at the man.

"Excuse me?!" His grin vanished quickly.

"Do you honestly think I am alone?" Misha smirked this time. "With a single gesture, I will have this entire street lit up with a beautiful shade of blue. You and your subordinates will be on the floor riddled with holes long before you lay a finger on me."

The Lung officer and Misha had a staring contest. A large crowd had formed behind Misha after hearing who she was with. Many of the public started looking around in fear, wondering if they were about to see a repeat of what they had all seen on the news not too long ago.

The Lung smirked again. "You're bluffing." He moved forward with the handcuffs. He took a few steps before coming to a sudden halt. His eyes widened in fear and confusion as he winced. Something cold and sharp was biting at his throat. He could feel something warm trickle down his neck.

"You dare?" A deep mechanical voice sounded out of nowhere, making the officers, the crowd and the Lung officer tense at the harsh voice.

"You dare attempt to arrest her...? with a disgusting grin to match? Your life is fleeting...worm!"

The invisible cold metal left his throat, only for a large hand to grip his neck and lift him off the ground with no trouble. To everyone around the Lung officer, it looked like he was floating, but his expression was one of gasping for air and panic as his legs kicked about.

"Stop! What's the meaning of this!?" So came the familiar voice of Ch'en as she stormed out of the building and up to the struggling Lung officer with a furious glare. Her eyes went from the floating officer to Misha.

"She's with the Farsight Enclave!" One of the officers behind called out, narrowing Ch'en's eyes even further at the Ursus girl, who stared back defiantly. Ch'en's hand went to her sword.

Ch'en studied the young bear girl's face before her eyes widened when she realised who this girl was. "You're Misha?"

Misha nodded in confirmation before snorting in sarcasm. "Yes... Want to take me back to protective custody?"

Ch'en eyes narrowed even further. "Watch yourself, girl... we were helping you. Rhodes Island is looking for you."

"Ghack!" The Lung officer said his piece.

Ch'en looked at her officer being strangled before going back to Misha. "Release him!"

"Will he attempt to arrest me again?" Misha replied cooly.

"He was doing his job." Ch'en defended with a frustrated glare.

"I'm here to speak to Chief Wei on behalf of Commander Farsight. Not play cops and robbers with egotistical officers." Misha rolled her eyes at Ch'en.

Ch'en immediately tensed at the mention of Farsight, her tail whipping back and forth in anger.

"Farsight?! You speak for T-that pig?!" Ch'en shouted.

"I do," Misha confirms with zero remorse, making Ch'en's eye twitch.

Farsight, for his part, throws the officer away to the side, catching everyone off guard at the flying officer. Farsight was smirking at Ch'en's reaction to him. He never planned to kiss the fiery Lung woman but wouldn't deny how soft her lips were.

Ch'en watched the officer fly off to the side and fall to the floor, happy to take in full lungfuls of oxygen. She turned back to Misha and was about to draw her sword when another person appeared and touched her shoulder.

"Ch'en stop... Chief Wei will see them..." Came the relatively soft voice of the tall green-haired Oni, Hoshiguma.

"What?! you can't be serious!" Ch'en glares at Hoshi for a few moments before cursing under her breath.

"Fine!... but your companion or companions have to reveal themself!" Ch'en glared at Misha, who was standing there with an insufferable innocent smile on her face.

Farsight had spoken into Misha's earpiece to confirm that it was okay and that she needed to command him to reveal himself as if he was just a bodyguard for her.

Misha nodded before looking at the space beside her, "You may reveal yourself, Guard!"

Within a few moments, the air shimmered and distorted before a prominent figure in red armour and a white helmet appeared; a large sword, very similar to the one Farsight's Battlesuit carried, at his side, many assuming he must have been one of Farsight's elite guards.

Misha glanced up at her 'Bodyguard' and smiled. Ch'en looked up at the smaller Farsight look-alike with rage, and Hoshiguma stared with interest, happy to see a guy just as tall as her. The officers and crowd stared with shock and intrigue at seeing members of the elusive Enclave out in the open.

"Happy?" Misha's 'Bodyguard' asked Ch'en in his deep voice.

Trembling with rage, "One! Step out of line, and I will cut you down... Do you understand, Tinman?"

"He will behave as long as you do." Misha continued to smile at Ch'en, which was pissing her off.

"*Growl* Follow!" Ch'en barked in annoyance as they walked into the large building. Ch'en led them as Hoshiguma and other officers followed behind Misha and her 'Bodyguard.' just in case.

Outside the building, during the events that had just occurred, a red-haired Sankta stared in wide-eyed wonder at the red-armoured being. He must have access to so many guns! She had to tell Boss and Texas and Rhodes Island! She couldn't wait to meet Farsight! She would convince him to give her a firearm somehow! Seduce him, maybe? The giddy Sankta zoomed away with red cheeks and a happy grin.

Back in the building, they had made their way up to the top floor and stood outside some ornate doors. The corridor was full of LGD officers and assistants staring at Farsight nervously.

Misha and her 'Bodyguard' stood there waiting for Ch'en to return from the office, which she stormed into, demanding they stay where they were. Suppose the muffled shouting of Ch'en beyond the door was to be believed; Ch'en wasn't exactly happy with Chief Wei's decision.

Ch'en returned a few minutes later with red cheeks and a glare fixed solely on the Enclave group.

"Chief Wei will see you both now," Ch'en bites out through grit teeth, "Myself and Hoshiguma will be present."

"Sure!" Misha chirped, enjoying the angry Lung's suffering. Hoshiguma smiled, knowing she was attempting to get under Ch'en's skin and succeeding.

Ch'en opened the doors and walked in with Misha and her 'Bodyguard' in toe. Hoishguma followed behind them. Once everyone was in the room, Misha walked to the large ornate wooden desk and bowed politely to Chief Wei, Farsight in disguise stood behind her stoically, scanning the room. Ch'en and Hoshiguma moved around and stood on either side of Chief Wei, who was looking at them curiously but smirking as he smoked his pipe.

"This is unexpected but a pleasant surprise. It would be best if you informed me ahead of time. I would have prepared more for this, or did you want to catch me off guard with your plan? hmmm?" Wei spoke smoothly, a grin not leaving his face. Unfazed by their presence here.

"Greetings, Chief Wei Yenwu... The Farsight Enclave would like to open negotiations and discuss future endeavours with you and the city of Lungmen, For the Greater Good." Misha grinned back confidently. She would not be intimidated here! With Commander Farsight behind her, she felt invincible.

Done!

I had a lot planned for this meeting, so I had to cut it in half.

Who was the red-haired Sankta? I wonder; it is a great mystery.

Isn't Misha just a gem? I hope Skullshatter doesn't screw this up.

Thanks for the support and votes!
