Amiya was panting hard. She had run from the safe house all the way here without rest. Her outfit was sticking to her skin due to the amount of sweat from her marathon, which made her cringe at the horrible feeling, but she didn't care. She had to get there before it was too late.

Amiya couldn't hear or decided not to listen to the shouting of her operators behind her, who were also panting from exertion. As the large building came into view, she could already see Madam Ch'en outside, pacing back and forth. Amiya did her best to dodge people on the street as best she could.

Ch'en had seen the Spriting Cautus when she first stepped onto the street and started to bolt right towards her, making the other LGD officers around her stare at the sprinting Cautus suspiciously, ready for a fight.

"Stand down!" Ch'en commanded, making the officers relax.

"*Gasp* Madam Ch'en!" Amiya called out breathlessly as she came to a grinding halt before her, keeling over suddenly, gasping for air. The other operators behind Amiya caught up quickly and tried to catch their breath.

"Amiya! That was completely stupid," Dobermann shouts at her superior while panting.

"I agree, that was reckless, Amiya," Nearl stated with a firm voice, recovering rather quickly from their marathon.

"Water!" Blaze shouted dramatically before; Kroos handed her a water bottle. Blaze snatched it and proceeded down the whole lot. Kroos and Perfumer watched the thirsty feline in intrigue.

Amiya had caught her breath and looked at everyone sheepishly but didn't reply to their comments. She would accept a scolding later from them. Amiya turned to look back at Ch'en, who stood there impatiently staring at her with arms crossed and a glare.

"Huh, Madam Ch'en... We need to speak with the Farsight Enclave and Chief Wei. Please! It's urgent," Amiya had an almost pleading tone as she stared up at the Lung with large hopeful eyes.

By this point, everyone had recovered and stood behind Amiya, waiting. Ch'en stared at each of them before lowing her head with a deep sigh before looking back at them.

"Alright, follow me." Ch'en sounded tired. She decided not to mention that the Enclave had been and gone. Instead, she led the young Cautus leader and her operators into the building without words.

After the Enclave left, she stormed into Wei's office and discovered what had happened in the meeting. Anything he purposefully left out was soon explained to her by Hoshiguma in private. Ch'en was shocked and lost, and They had been working closely with Rhodes Island during the riots in the city and the Reunion attacks. Now, it was all about to end.

Rhodes Island was about to get a slap in the face.

"Aww, come on! We're with Rhodes Island," Exusiai pouted at one of the LGD officers guarding the entrance of the building Ch'en had just led Amiya and her operators into. Exusiai and Texas were stopped by multiple officers when they tried to run past them and enter the building after the Rhodes Island group.

"Don't care... You have no proof." One officer said.

"Please?" Exusiai pouted cutely.

"No! Get lost" Another shoved the Laterano Sankta back.

"*Gah!* Hey, that was mean..." Exusiai shouted before being grabbed by Texas and pulled away.

"Texas, you saw that... let's teach them a lesson." The Sankta pouted angrily at the LGD officers.

"... Let's go," Texas said calmly.

"Ah!... Texas... come on... don't pull me!" Exusiai struggled in the Lupo's grip.

"...Stop," Texas demanded quietly with annoyance, making Exusiai stop resisting and allow herself to be dragged away from the officers.

Once they were far enough away not to be heard, Texas released Exusiai and stared at her blankly. Exusiai stared back with a little grin and put her hands up in surrender.

"We will wait... until they come back out," Texas said, pulling out a pocky and putting it between her fingers like a cigarette.

"Ugh, fine... I'm going to check out those shops," Exusiai shouts excitedly as she points at the shops behind Texas before running past the Lupo. As she brushes past Texas, she knocks the Pocky out of her hand without realising it.

"..." Texas glares after the running Sankta before looking down at the ground at her broken Pocky, before reaching into her pocket and pulling out another, only to find she has none left. Texas sighs in frustration and stares around the street with little emotion, ears twitching occasionally.

"Want some Pocky, miss?" A familiar voice asks politely behind her, Making Texas jolt in surprise and shock. She whips around with her hands on her sword hilts, and no one is there... Texas looked around in hope, ears twitching and tail swishing back and forth occasionally.

"Y/n?" Texas calls out in hope as her eyes widen as she recalls the voice. She received no reply. She moved forward and reached out to touch someone, only to touch nothing. Her ears drop, and her gaze lowers in sadness. She must be hearing things. Texas looked back to where Exusiai was and started to walk in that direction, no longer interested in waiting for Rhodes Island.

As she moved, something caught her eye, making her sad expression turn into one of interest. Next to the Pocky that Exusiai made her drop accidentally to the dirty street floor was a brand new sealed box of Pocky, her favourite brand. She quickly moved towards it and snatched it off the ground, looking at it with a small smile before looking around in understanding. Ears back to twitching and tail swishing in equal parts hope and excitement.

Texas may not outwardly show it on her face or body language, but she was hopeful. The loss of Y/n had hit her hard, like so many; even if Y/n believed everyone was against him, that wasn't true. Y/n was very popular; at least, Texas thought so.

The Lupo had spent much of her free time searching for the Y/n, she didn't understand why he left Rhodes Island, but if the rumours were true, which she was beginning to think they were, He was not very welcome on Rhodes. The thought of Y/n being mistreated irked her. Her ears started twitching unhappily.

She stopped and decided to shake her head from the negative thoughts for now.

She remembered the last time she met him a month before he resigned and vanished. Texas was aware of Y/n reputation before Chernobog, before waking up but decided to give him a chance. She had spent time getting to know him and found herself more intrigued by him every time they talked. When people were not around, he would take his mask off and smile at her, forcing her to look away with a blush. Ears would twitch cutely.

Before she left with Exusiai the last time, he pulled her aside and thanked her for everything. Initially, she had shrugged it off, but his actions caught her off guard and would stay imprinted in her mind forever.

He leaned over and petted her head! No one had ever attempted to be so presumptuous, not even Lappland! Texas didn't scold or lash out; she stood there, arms folded and blushed, gazing up at him. Her tail would betray her by wagging happily.

Exusiai witnessed that moment, much to her dismay and would never let it go, and She would tease her constantly. The Sankta only stopped when the Farsight Leader said Y/n was dead. Exusiai knew it was no longer worth teasing her about. Knowing it would upset her.

People on the street were currently giving Texas strange looks. The Lupo was presently standing in the middle of the road clutching a box of Pocky and had a smile on her face. Her tail wagged happily behind her. Did Texas not notice that she was gaining attention?

"Tex?" A voice called out.

"..."

"Hey!" Exusiai moved in front of the Lupo in concern but was shocked to see her friend smiling and a blush on her face.

"Oh... Um, Exusiai." Texas quietly replied. She didn't see the Sankta coming, her smile soon vanishing, but the blush stubbornly remained.

"Where did you get that, Pocky?" Exusiai asked inquisitively.

"...A shop," Came Texas's blunt reply.

"They don't sell Pocky on this street," Exusiai replied as she stared at the box suspiciously.

"Wait! Holy Terra! You have a secret admirer!" Exusiai shouted with a bright smile, Halo and wings lightening up, causing people to stare at them in annoyance.

"Shut up," Texas glared with a more prominent blush, ruining her usual blank look and dragged her friend away by the ear.

"Ow, ow, ow... Texas, stop!" Exusiai cried.

Both left the area without giving a second thought about why they were there in the first place. Soon Rhodes Island could be seen leaving the building with a depressed Amiya in front, a shocked group of operators behind and a furious and blushing Ch'en in the middle.

What had happened?
