Flawless Victory!

Hey there,

Battle time. My first written battle scene.

A surprise at the end!

Let's go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30 Miles outside Lungmen, a huge haggard-looking group of people appeared out from behind a massive Originium formation that had scared the countryside around and was now walking out across the open green fields of the land. Air getting warmer the further they go from Chernobog.

A tall Sarkaz Man with large twisted horns led the huge column from the front, a tattered dark cloak covering most of his body and a large sword. He was concealing the Reunion symbol on his chest.

This was a Sarkaz Centurian and was sent by Lady Talulah after some cowardly little force in hiding that had slaughtered their brothers and sisters in Lungmen. The Centurion looked back at his disguised army with a smirk. Lady Talulah wanted this Farsight dead.

Their Leader, Talulah, has given him plenty of units to flush out this doormat Farsight and bring the rest of Lungmen to heel. He had plenty of standard soldiers, Armoured soldiers, Casters, Crossbowmen, Heavy-Defenders and Loggers. He even had his squad of Sarkaz Greatswordsmen and Sarkaz Crossbowmen—plenty of drones in storage containers ready to be activated.

"Hey! boss," One of his squad members carrying a crossbow called out from behind.

"What is it, Ya git!" The Centurian called back.

"When Lungmen falls to us, You gonna give us some pretty girls like back in Chernobog to play with?" The questions receive a cheer from his fellow Sarkaz squad mates.

"Don't get why not, but the city must fall first! Before anything! Got it? Also, the Dragon girl with Blue hair, Ch'en, I think they call her; if you see her, she's mine!" The Centurian shouts back at them. They either cheer or moan at not having the Lung Officer they see on the news so often.

The disguised Reunion soldiers following behind the Sarkaz Mecenary's that could hear them rolled their eyes disgusted. They knew they weren't seen as good guys in the eyes of the media, but that's just sick. They heard of plenty of horrible things about what these kinds of people and some of the more vile Reunion members did to Ursus, civilians during the fall of Chernobog.

Unknown to Reunion, a lone figure was standing a fair distance away in an elevated position, observing them through the scope of his rifle and talking to someone into a headset.

(A.N. Picture him with rat ears and a tail. Also, shoes.)

A short Zalak man with rat ears and a tail stood above the massive group of refugees they knew were not refugees. The short Zalak was smirking as he stared down the scope of his extensively modified sniper rifle that Farsight Enclave had given him.

He had always been a crack-shot with a crossbow. Still, the Sankta would never let him own a rifle, no matter how many times he attempted to navigate through Laterano's ridiculous and biased tests favouring a Sankta over anyone else. But now, he had a firearm and had already proven he was the best shot when in training.

"Command, this is Scout 77. Come in," The Zalak speaks into his headset and waits for a reply, receiving one quickly.

"Command here, Identify yourself," Came a gruff voice from Command.

"Scout 77-2452, Over"

There was silence for a moment.

"Confirmed Scout 77. Do you have something to report?"

"Intelligence is accurate. Target has been sighted. Over two thousand Reunion combatants are attempting to disguise themselves as Refugees, although rather poorly, heading straight for Lungmen."

"Acknowledged. Any signs of Reunion leader presence?" Command asks.

"Sarkaz Centurian, at the front point of the army, followed by a bodyguard unit of Sarkaz warriors. If any Named leader is present, they are well hidden in the mass of bodies."

"Any threat that should be known before assault commences in full?" The Command asks further.

"Dozens of storage containers being transported by Wraiths, Possibly Originium Slugs, maybe Drones."

"Acknowledged, Hold position, Engage only when the primary force assault begins." Command orders.

"Understood Command."

The Zalak sniper turns off his mic and gets into a better position to shoot. Looking left and right further down the mostly concealed elevated position, he could see many rifle barrels slowly peek out of different points in the terrain. The Zalak smirks, looks like the rest of his scout force has found their prey.

"Vultures have found their next meal," He chuckles to himself.

The disguised Reunion force is marching on with little consideration for anything around them. They believe they are safe because they are disguised as Refugees. All they have to do is act all Meek and worn down, and Lungmen or any passer-by would feel pity for them.

The Sarkaz Centurian was not completely stupid. He had sent plenty of scouts out in all directions just in case a surprise awaited them. But, come to think of it... Where were the scouts he sent? None have come back yet; It's been over a day.

The Centurian stopped and looked around as his squad and Reunion soldiers passed him. Something was wrong, terribly wrong. He couldn't explain it, and he just knew something was off.

Off in the distance, at the back of their army that had yet to emerge from behind the massive Originium formation due to how many of them there were, they heard a muffled explosion, followed by feint yelling.

Most soldiers around him heard the muted explosion in the far back and swung around to face that direction. Trying to find the source, they could only just about see the furthest soldiers that had emerged from behind the Originium. They were far more active than the other part of the army closer to him. Why were they running?

"Hey, boss! I can't get hold of the rear guard!" One of his units calls out.

"Keep trying, Damn it!" The Centurion shouts.

"Boss! I think we are under atta-*Gurgle.*"

Before the Sarkaz crossbowman could finish, a part of his throat blew outwards and sprayed the surrounding soldiers with blood. The Centurian looked on in shock as he wiped his face, which had been spattered with the red liquid, and spat some out.

"Take cover! Into that ditch now!" The Centurian grabbed the nearest unit member and pushed them into a large ditch to the left of their position, and took cover from unknown gunfire coming from the distance. Most had taken shelter in the ditch, but not all could take cover in time.

The Centurian looked back to where they were all previously standing. He could already see dozens of bodies on the ground, either dead or wailing in pain, begging for help from the pinned-down army.

Down the entire line of his army, he could see they had followed this example and were attempting to take cover in the long ditch of unknown origin or any other cover they could find, Rocks, trees, pits, anything.

The Sarkaz and Reunion around him started shouting and becoming unnerved as many Reunion Casters and Crossbowmen would peek up and take shots at anything above the suspicious terrain. Some had their heads blown off by the unknown attackers for their efforts.

The Centurian and his unit were trying to locate their attackers with no luck. Then, over the shouts of scared and unnerved soldiers and that of the dying, they could feel a vibration in the ground beneath them.

A vibration that would only get stronger with each passing moment. Everyone was looking around in confusion and worry.

"Boss! Up on the hill!" Someone around him shouts as everyone looks up at the rocky incline to their left above the ditch they were covering in.

Everyone who could, decided to peek over the cover and saw dozens of figures in strange green armour looking down at their position. They pointed their unconventional weapons at Reunion and fired a few rounds at them, not even aiming, just shooting in their direction before they decided to retreat.

A bunch of bandits with guns was mocking them?! The Centurian was furious and decided he had had enough of these pests, so he stood tall, throwing off his cover that concealed his true identity and raised his giant sword into the air.

"A BUNCH OF BANDITS WITH GUNS! FOLLOW ME!... FOR REUNION!" The Centurian screamed as loud as he could, so many soldiers down the massive army stretching over a mile could hear him. Did none of them notice that the vibrations had stopped? Or how a bunch of bandits could have caused that in the first place?

The Reunion army followed the Centurian's example, threw off their disguises, and cheered before following the Centurian up the rocky-green incline with weapons raised and Arts ready to unleash. A massive charge of Reunion soldiers over a mile long was charging up the rise that would have terrified any army on Terra.

The Centurian grinned at himself as he led the Charge; Leader Talulah would be proud. Finally, a massive army under her banner was doing something that would tremble any Ursus army.

Leading the Charge, the Sarkaz Centurian would be the first to reach the summit, and the moment he did, his eyes widened in complete horror.

The last thing the Centurian saw before being blown to pieces was a massive army of green soldiers and vehicles charging in their direction and clashing against his mortified army that had just crested the hill.

(A.N Commisar in the top middle of the picture holding out the sword is Seneschal, and the woman bottom right could be Lupo Sienna)

The moment both armies met, Reunion immediately started taking casualties. However, the rocky incline was already in the Green army's control, and they were pushing Reunion back down the slope.

"FOWARD... ONTO VICTORY! FOR THE ENCLAVE!" Seneschal shouted out as loud as he could.

Seeing his soldiers slaughtering Reunion made the Seneschal grin as he shot at a Caster aiming for him, blowing a hole in his chest. He had already blown the head off the Centurain that was reportedly leading this disorganised rabble.

A male Sankta at the front of the army pointed his pistol at a Logger and started shooting, but the Logger began running at him with his massive axe raised. The Sankta fell backwards in a panic, only for the Logger to be met with focus fire by his squad mates around him.

The Logger fell to the ground with a wet thump before one of his allies ran up and stabbed the Logger with his bayonet. That same soldier was suddenly thrown back by a Reunion caster.

Reunion resolve was already crumbling, Arts were only throwing some of the green soldiers back, and Crossbowmen had to be precise to land a kill which was hard in the smashing of two armies.

A Heavy Defender at the front had broken and turned to run, only to be met with a bloodied chainsword to the back of the head belonging to Sienna, who laughed at the spray of blood. Making Reunion around her stumble in shock.

Two armies, one of White and the other of Green, clashed against each other with screams of Hate, Pain and fear. Reunion in white fell quickly to bayonet and excessive gunfire. A few in Green had swords and chainswords and were slashing left and right at the Reunion.

Reunion was taking excessive losses, but the Farsight Enclave was not getting out of this exchange without casualties. Some of the soldiers in the Seneschals army had fallen to well-placed crossbow bolts or Arts from Casters. One soldier had taken a Loggers Axe to the chest, killing him instantly. An Enclave Vulpo soldier soon put down the Logger by unloading his magazine into the Logger's Ample stomach, getting revenge for the soldier he killed.

Explosions left and right started vaporising Reunion as all resolve had broken, and two thousand soldiers had to be less than nine hundred now. Reunion Wraiths, in desperation, attempted to assemble and activate all the drones they had brought with them but were soon overrun as the frontline of Reunion had dissolved, resulting in Wraiths being struck down, bayonetted or had limbs blown off by sniper fire in the distance.

Once the Army of the Farsight Enclave had pushed Reunion forces back down towards the ditch where Reunion had first taken cover, they had stopped advancing and held position, allowing snipers to pick off as many as they could.

The few hundred remaining Reunion were terrified as they ran and scattered, watching other Reunion brothers and sisters have their spines blown out by distance sniper fire. Then, a rumble in front caught the remaining Reunion and Sarkaz stragglers off guard, only to be met with a terrible sight. So this is why the rear guard collapsed and never responded—some thought in dread.

Dozens of war machines they had never seen before had pincer manoeuvred around them from the location they had first emerged from and now stood before them in formation in front of them, wedging what was left of Reunion between the army that had slaughtered them and these intimidating war machines, which had opened fire and were charging in their direction.

Cannon and gunfire ripped them to shreds. A few Casters had attempted to use Arts on the metal beasts, but they only turned their massive guns on them and vaporised them. Nothing could slow down these machines.

A few hundred became less than 50. It was a slaughter.

One of the Reunion soldiers was sitting on a battered field beside his dead friend as he cried behind his mask. He or his dead friend never signed up for this. They only wanted to be seen as a people, not a disease to be looked at with hate.

The weeping Reunion soldier didn't notice the cannon fire had stopped, and the field he was sitting on became quiet. He looked around and saw more Green armoured soldiers dragging Reunion soldiers away that was kneeling on the ground with their hands up, begging.

Out of nowhere, hands-on, both sides of him pulled him up and turned him to face a dozen or so people in green armour and different animal features of Terra, and all were glaring at him. He raised his hands shakily in surrender.

"Please! I surrender"

The Battle Between Farsight Enclave and Reunion had concluded. A significant victory for the Enclave and a devastating blow for Reunion. Without those reinforcements, what chance did Reunion in Lungmen have? Only a few Reunion stragglers were allowed to run off into the distance. They would spread the word.

When Talulah hears about this, she will indeed seek revenge. When Terra hears about this, they will be terrified. When Rhodes Island hears about this, they will see the Enclave as a threat or seek to ally with them. Farsight will be thrilled with the results, but for now, Seneschal and his army must turn around and march to Chernobog.

'The Battle Of Rocky-Steps' was over. 'The Battle For Chernobog' will soon begin.

Far off in the distance, A figure had been disturbed and woken from a pleasant nap in the tall grass by the sounds of battle and had watched the entire thing unfold with wide manic silver eyes.

"Ha... wow... Maybe they know where Texas is... Haha!"

She looked at the Green soldiers gathering corpses of Reunion as she picked out blades of grass from her messy white hair. A toothy smirk she attempts to hide behind her hand as an insane plan she has just devised comes to the forefront of her mind.

 Done!

I said I'd have the chapter out by Wednesday, and I believe it's Thursday, at least for the U.K., but I had a few things that needed doing. Sorry.

The battle is done, It was meant to be a pure ambush battle, but I wouldn't charge down a hill at an Army taking cover in a mile-long ditch. That screams 'trap' to me even If I had the superior force and I was the one ambushing.

First ever battle scene, sooo yeah, Never written one before.

We are introducing the next Harem girl - Lappland!

She's a great Waifu. Get past her Texas obsession; she is guaranteed to make your life exciting and will be 100% loyal. Loyalty seems in short supply, unfortunately.
