TW: Foster system, DCFS, children taken away, mentions of abuse and neglect.

They arrived back at Wills house Evvy put her stuff in the spare room. Then called her dad. She sat waiting for him to answer. After two trys Spencer answered. "Hello darling are you okay?"
She responded with "I'm okay just missing you." Evvy heard some muttering through the phone. Spencer said "Evvy we have a case I gotta go."

"Daddy when are you coming home?"

"I don't know as soon as possible."

"Okay I love you."

"I love you too Darling. I'll be home soon."

"Bye dad."

"Bye darling." Spencer hung up. Evvy just sat on the bed trying to not cry. She felt alone.

Meanwhile. After Spencer hung up he realised how much he was missing his daughter he was fighting back tiers. JJ came in and said "Are you okay?"

"Yes just missing Evvy."

"I get." At that moment everyone else walked in. They continued with the case.

Back in Virginia. Will knocked on the door of what might as well have been Evvy's room. He said "Evvy we are gonna get pizza tonight is that okay?"

Evvy responded with "As long as its gluten free."

"I know Evvy. Are you okay?"

"I just miss my dad."

"Okay. I know I am not your dad but get your pj's on we are gonna have a movie night."

"Okay Uncle Will, I'll see you in a bit." He left. Evvy hot up and went into her bag she grabbed some clean pj's out. She jumped in the shower. After she showered she got her pj's on. Then she grabbed all of her dirty clothes and took them downstairs with her. Her uncle washed them for her. They did end up ordering pizza and watching some movie before calling it bedtime.

Spencer didn't stop working until Morgan dragged him back to the hotel they were staying in. Morgan went to bed in their room. As Spencer sat up watching videos of Evvy that he had recorded over the years. He was missing his little girl, he missed her every time but he was missing her even more now.

Evvy woke up the next morning and checked her phone. A text from her dad saying 'Morning darling. Have a good day see you soon. I love you.' She replied with 'hi dad just woke up. I love you too.' She got herself dressed and downstairs. She saw her Uncle up and said "Morning Uncle Will."

"Good morning Evvy what's got you so happy today?"

"Nothing. Maybe that I'm nine soon."

"I know how exciting. Breakfast is doen so grab a plate and go sit down."

"Okay Uncle Will."

"BOYS! BREAKFAST!" They came and go there breakfast to. They all sat down around the table and started eating breakfast when the doorbell rang. Will said "Stay here I will be back soon." The children did as they were told and Will went to the door. He opened it and said "Who are you?"

The woman replied with "I am Karol Sanders from DCFS. Is Evelyn Diana Reid here?"

"Yes. What is this about?"

"There is a neglect and abuse investigation going on into her and her father. Is here father here?"

"Oh my. Her father is not here he is doing his job so she is staying here with me and my children."

"I'm sorry about this but I need to come in and see Evelyn then take her back to DCFS with me."

"Okay." Will was stood there shocked. He opened the door more and let the woman in. She came in and will got Karol to sit on the sofa. He went and got Evvy. She sat next to her uncle. Evvy sat "Are you going to try and take me away from my dad?"

"Hopefully not but if it comes down to that then yes."

"My dad is good and nice and does everything and more than a dad should."

"Evelyn, you seem like a every smart little girl. But I will need you to come with me."

"I am very smart I'm in high school but please don't take me away from my family."

"I will have to but only for short while."

Will said "Who reported her?"

Karol replied "I don't know."

Will said "Evvy go get your stuff together and your clothes taht went into the wash this morning are sdry."

Evvy said "Okay Uncle Will." Evvy ran upstairs and packed up her stuff. She came down stairs and grabbed everything else. She called her dad. "Dad?"

"Yes Evvy?"

"DCFS is here. There is a neglect and abuse investigation going on into us. Dad you need to come home. Please."

"Evelyn, I will get home asap. I am getting home."

"Okay dad. But they are taking me now."

"Evvy I will get you back. I promise."

"I know you will but I am scared." Evvy was crying.

"I love you so much darling. I truly do. I promise to gt you home to me, I will be home soon. I love you." Spencer was sobbing.

"I love you too. Goodbye."

"Goodbye." Evvy hung up. She dried her eyes, and walked into the living room.

Karol said looking at will "this is the worst part of my job." He nodded, he turned to Evvy. "Evvy you have to go."

"I know Uncle Will."

"I'm guessing you called your dad?"

"Yeah I'm sorry but I had to."

Karol said "okay but you can't contact him I hate to take you away but say your goodbyes." So that's what Evvy did. Karol and Evvy walked out of the door Evvy was sobbing. She was place in the back of the car and drove away.

Will rang hotch "Agent hotch you need to let Spencer come home now."

"Why what's going on Will?"

"DCFS has just took Evelyn away."

"They can't do that."

"Well they have, on an abuse and neglect report." Hotch was silent. "She is terrified. He needs to come home and get her back."

"We have just finished the case the sheriff's office can do the arrests. We will be on the plane in ten."

"Good."

"Who reported them?"

"It was anonymous."

"We are leaving now." Hotch hung up. He turned to the rest of the team and said "We are going back now."

Morgan said "What about the arrests?"

"We have a more important matter, where's Reid?"

"He was just on the phone to Evelyn he should be here any minutes, there he is." Spencer sat down looking horrified.

Hotch said "We are going home, Evelyn had been taken by DCFS. Will just called." Everyone else left to get there stuff. Spencer went up to Hotch "Those accusations are false I would never hit or neglect Evelyn."

"I know Spencer I know." Hotch hugged him. Reid got his stuff and got onto the plane. When they were in the air Garcia dropped in. "Spencer how are you? Have you heard from Evelyn?"

"I don't know and no."

Hotch said "Garcia I'm asking you to do something illegal and nobody is listening can you find out who reported Reid and Evelyn."

"On it sir. Anything else? Like were she is going to stay?"

"No just find out who did it." Garcia hung up and went to search it. Spencer was quiet too quiet. Morgan said "Reid, what's going on in that head of yours?"

"I need to get her back."

"I know and we will."

"I got her back last time."

"Last time?"

"Gideon helped. I need to call him."

"You need to explain past time to us all then we will call Gideon." They all grouped up so they could find out what happened last time. "We weren't sure how reported us but evvy was taken away for five weeks she looked terrible when she got home I barely survived without her. I was terrified, Evelyn looked traumatised when she got out of the group home."

Morgan said "Reid. Why does DCFS keep taking Evvy?"

"People keep fileing neglect reports, because of the long hours and no mom or family."

Garcia dropped in "I've got a name an address and I think I know how she knows Evvy."

Hotch said "Go on Garcia."

Gracie said "Mrs Helen Sanders. 234 Vineal Street. The connection she has a daughter that goes to Evvy's school that is in the same classes her name is Gracie." Spencer's eyes widened her know how she was on about. Hotch said "Reid what's is it?"

Spencer said "Evvy slept over at Gracie's the other day."

Morgan said "and they reported you?"

Reid said "I'm guessing." Reid looked down and looked at his hands as he twiddled his thumbs in was in major overload. But he had to ground himself he needed to do this for Evvy. For his little girl. Morgan said "Kid?"

Reid said "I can't lose her too."

JJ said "That's not going to happen."

Hotch said "Garcia is calling Steven and Gideon, we are already working on getting her back, we will make more progress when we get back home. We are getting her home. You're not going to lose her. I promise you that." Reid nodded. JJ sat next to him and wrapped her arm around his shoulder. "Spence we are getting her back." They sat there like that for the whole flight.

What's going to happen next? Is he getting his daughter back?
