epilogue

jupiter aria reid

"if you three aren't downstairs in the next 10 seconds, i promise i'll leave without you!"

"no we won't! we'd never leave you behind!"

"spencer i swear to god himself if you don't-"

"ready mom!"

my head snaps up and a large smile graces my lips at the sight on my children stood at the top of the stairs. after apollo, spencer and i had two more children. desmond derek, two years younger than apollo and a carbon copy of his mother in both looks and personality. that was until he decided to dye his hair an obnoxious blonde. unlike apollo, who grew more into his fathers persona. then our baby, eurydice emily, younger than apollo by a little over a year. she was a perfect mix of both spencer and i. smart and kind with a just a touch of never ending sarcasm.

"oh. you guys look so good. okay okay, let's get a picture." i quickly say, ushering my family towards our living room.

"mommmm" they collectively groan, making me tsk loudly at them.

"i don't wanna hear it. come on. just one, i promise." i giggle, setting up the timer and my phone against the back of the couch.

i stand in front of the christmas tree and spencer stands by my side, placing his hand on my lower back and pressing a soft kiss to the side of my head.

"ew. des get me my inhaler." apollo groans, making spencer and i smile.

"get it yourself. you have asthma, you're not paralyzed." desmond shoots back, making me snort.

"okay okay. come on, we've got five more seconds. hurry up." i say, grabbing my sons and positioning them.

spencer leans down and places a gentle kiss on eury's head as she stands in front of him.

"okay, smile!"

our fairly photogenic family smiles for the picture and everyone disbands. i rush over, grabbing my phone from the top of the couch and looking at the photo.

"can we go? i wanna get to uncle david's before henry eats all fettucini" apollo groans, holding open the front door.

"yeah yeah, let's go." i chuckle, and eury loops her arm into mine.

"i'm driving!" he shouts, making des quickly argue.

"dad already said i could drive!"

they both huff, turning to their father who just chuckles at his rambunctious sons.

"he turns 18 and he thinks he rules the world." eury huffs, making me chuckle.

"when you turn 18, you'll think the same thing. trust me." i say, leaning my head down on hers.

"i don't think so." she shrugs.

"neither did your brother." i snort, opening the back door of the car for her.

"mom will you please tell desmond that i'm driving?"

"mom will you please tell apollo that i'm driving?" desmond pleads.

i deadpan, pushing past the two boys into the front seat of the car.

"here. desmond will drive there, and apollo will drive back. sound good?"

desmond sticks his tongue out, snatching the keys from apollo's hand and hopping into the drivers seat.

"thanks mama." he smiles, making me purse my lips slightly.

"don't thank me. it's called compromise. learn something about it." i roll my eyes and buckle my seatbelt.

"you know, i always thought apollo was a mama's boy. then desmond was born and i realized i was very wrong." spencer quickly inputs as he buckled his seatbelt.

"oh that's a first." desmond snorts, backing out of the driveway.

as loud laughs fill the car, i turn back, looking at spencer who smiles at his children and gently wipes away a smudge of mascara from the corner of eury's eye.

"it's not a family outing if you all don't make fun of dad huh?"

***************************

the house bustles loudly with voices of the team and our families. jack, henry, and apollo were stood off in the corner talking about god knows what while desmond and hank stood at the counter with rossi as he talks them through the process of making your own pasta. meanwhile, eurydice and michael stood off with jj, their phones in front of her confused face as they explained something.

"more wine?"

my head turns to my husband who smiles softly down at me.

"please?"

he nods his head, grabbing the glass from my hands, leaving me stood with drew and garcia.

"so, drew, please tell me when you plan on getting married? my children can't be the last of this teams next generation." i say, raising an eyebrow at the man.

"marriage is for suckers. yeah. i said it." he says, sticking his tongue out at me.

"it is not!" garcia gapes, slapping his arm lightly.

"well, either way. marriage for drew. i'd love to see it." i sigh, and spencer slides back next to me, gently looping an arm around my waist and a gentle smile on his face.

"you all have children. that's enough for me right now." he chuckles, sipping on his whiskey glass.

i roll my eyes and a small laugh escapes spencer's mouth.

"it makes sense."

i gently elbow his side and he responds with a soft kiss on my head.

"uncle drew! aunt penny! come here!" eury shouts from the table, waving the two over to her.

the two quickly make their way over to where eury and michael were seated beside jj and a gentle smile graces my lips as i watch over our large family mingling through rossi's large home.

"you know. i always dreamed of falling in love, getting married, and having my own family. but...i don't know. this is nothing like my dreams."

i turn, quirking my eyebrow up at my husband.

"ummm...?"

he just smiles, keeping his gaze on everyone.

"this...i could've never dreamt of this. because this is better than anything i could ever dream....its real." {iykyk}

"well...it seems like i've rubbed off a little on you dr. reid."

"it seems you have dr. reid."

"i love you spen"
