"You and Cassie, huh?" Max asks.

"We're just friends. I don't even know if we're friends." I say.

"She totally digs you." Max says.

"Sitting with me at lunch just so she can vent isn't "digging me."" I say.

There's a knock on the door and Ms. Gonzales opens it.

"Hola, Cassie." Ms Gonzales says.

"Is Y/n here?" Cassie asks coming in the room.

Ms Gonzales points at me and Max gets up. Cassie sits in Max's seat and looks at me.

"Whatcha doing?" Cassie asks looking at my paper.

"Just doodling." I say.

"Doodling? That's a multimillion dollar drawing." Cassie says.

"You said you were leaving before lunch so I wanted to ask you now. There's a party and I need a date. Do you wanna go with me?"

"She asked me to go to that party with her." I say.
