I've been keeping things inside

Rue and I made it official last week. I don't wanna tell her everything though. I've been vulnerable to people only for them to break my trust.

"Hey Y/n/n." Cassie says.

"Fuck off." I say walking past her.

I kind of fell out with Cassie last years. She's just a two-faced bitch. She told everyone my business and used me.

She ran her mouth off to the wrong person and Maddy found out. Let's just say Maddy handled her.

"Keep her name out of your fucking mouth." Maddy says.

That's one of the reasons I won't tell Rue, I'm not sure if I can 100% trust her right now. I know I need to but I just can't. Rue would probably still want me with all my baggage.

I stay up wondering

"A long sleeve shirt in 90 degree weather?" Maddy asks.

"You got some tooth—" Tommy asks walking in the bathroom.

Tommy looks up and stares at me.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? What are you doing?" Tommy asks taking the scissors out of my hand.

"You gotta talk to me. What's going on?" Tommy says.

Tommy's my brother, he'll always have my back. I don't know Rue well enough to say that about her.

"It's always cold in and Mrs Jones' room." I say.

"I hate that hag." Maddy says.

"Hellos Madeline." Mrs Jones says walking past.

"You're looking mighty good today, Mrs J." Maddy's says.

Time Skip; Rue's View

I think I have to break things off with Y/n. I've given her plenty of time but nothing has changed.

I knock on the door and Tommy opens it.

"Hey." Tommy says.

"Hey. Is Y/n here?" I say.

"Yeah, she's upstairs." Tommy says.

I nod and go upstairs. I go in Y/n's room and see the bathroom light on. I go around the corner and see Y/n laying on the floor.

"Oh my god." I say.

I kneel beside Y/n and take her pulse. I grab her phone off the bathroom counter and call 911.

"911, what's your emergency?" The operator asks.

"I-I think she cut herself she's bleeding out." I say.

"I don't know what to do. Fuck." I say.

"Everything is gonna be okay. What's the address?" The woman asks.

"Uh, 555 West 118th street." I say.

"Paramedics are in the way. I need you to wrap the cut with tissue or some gauze to slow the bleeding." She says.

I get paper towels off the counter and wrap them around Y/n's wrist.

"You're gonna be okay." I say holding Y/n's hand.

Time Skip; Y/n's View

I open my eyes and see Rue pacing around the room.

"You're awake. Thank god." Rue says.

"W-What happened?" I ask.

"You tell me. You were laying on your bathroom floor about to bleed out. You're lucky you don't need a blood transfusion." Rue says.

"Did you cut yourself?" Rue asks.

I sigh and nod.

"I have been depressed for at least 2 months. It just keeps getting worse but I don't want to tell anyone. Tommy's the only person who knows because he caught me." I say.

"Why wouldn't you tell me? I'm always gonna be Team Y/n." Rue says holding my hand.

"To be honest, I didn't trust you with that information. I guess I have to now." I say.

I laugh and she smiles.

"Oh my god! I thought you died." Maddy says.

"How was your little get away to crazyville? Maddy asks.

I stay up wondering

"They put me in a straight jacket." I say.
