"Ye Hua, this is your new servant. Su Jin." His father said, leading the girl inside.

Ye Hua stared at the girl. She looked pert and young, and couldn't be much out of her childhood. A servant?

"Father," his soft voice resonated through the chamber. "I do not need a servant, nor have I ever wanted one."

"She doesn't always have to be your servant, Ye Hua. You can be friends with her too." His father said.

The young boy caught his father's meaning of a "friend".

"Su Jin..." his young but intelligent mind whirled at the familiar name. Suddenly he remembered that he had heard of a young child being the only remaining kin of the Su Jin clan, her whole family having been wiped out during a war.

So that was his father's motive. He wanted him to marry Su Jin as she was the sole heir to the Su Jin Clan. In doing so, the Celestial Tribe gained a worthy ally, the sole breadwinner of an honourable clan. And his father was doing this by putting on a front for her as a servant.

Su Jin looked at Ye Hua with a look of admiration. "Ooh, you're the famous Crown Prince. I hope you'll take care of me."

"There's nothing i will do for you,
nor will i take care of you. Please, get out." He said.

"The famous crown prince is throwing me out?" She turned to Ye Hua's father indignantly.

"Ye Hua, that is absolutely no way to treat her. You must learn to get along." His father said, sweeping out of the room.

"So, since you won't talk to me i'll talk to you." She said, propping her face on her hands and staring at him.

"I'm studying as you can see. Step out." He said softly.

Su Jin lost her temper. "Well, then you would do good to know that your father has arranged our marriage when we grow up!" She snapped. Folding her arms she glared at him with a smirk raising on her lips. "You'll have to put up with me every day!"

"Preposterous!" Ye Hua slapped the table as he stood up. Glaring at Su Jin he said. "Who said i would be marrying you? I don't want to!"

"You will have to in the end!" Su Jin said. Timidly she added,  "I already like you, can't you see?"

"Then you would do me a favour by getting out." Ye Hua said, standing up. "I can't do any more studying with you hanging around. Farewell." Pushing her aside he ran out.

He stormed out of the room, leaving Su Jin dejected and crying on the floor.
