A hard slap caressed Bai Qian's face. She looked up in fear at Ye Hua. He had never laid a hand on her, and now... he'd changed.

She turned away as fear and sadness began to take hold.

"You're very troublesome, you know that? First you keep talking about my brother and now? Bugging me to spend time with A-Li when I don't have the time. I have a lot of reports to write, I'm busy and you just keep disturbing me."

Tears cascaded down her face. He looked at her and a wave of guilt washed over him. He didn't mean to hit her.

"Qian Qian, i'm sorry, i didn't mean to h-"

"It's okay. I-I understand. i'll leave you in peace." She said before quickly taking her leave.

Ye Hua put his head in his hands. What did i just do?

Bai Qian ran out of the room. Dashing to the place she knew she could find solace. Nowhere else but the lotus pond at Kunlun Mountain.

She found her master and Zhe Yan there, playing chess leisurely. They looked up upon hearing her footsteps.

"What's wrong?" Zhe Yan said sharply once he saw her tears.

"Nothing." She said, trying to avoid the topic. "I thought i might come and enjoy the scenery and relax for a while. It's been... a stressful day."

Zhe Yan had a gut feeling that her tears had something to do with Ye Hua.

And he was proved correct, because Ye Hua came a few moments later.
