TW:Body shaming

I was 5 years old when it all started.

"Why do you look like that?"
"Your fat!"
"Ewww your teeth look weird!"
"What's up with your hair?"

I used to walk into my kindergarten class proud,happy, and confident.I left sad,insecure,pulled hair,and dried tears on my cheek.

My mom used to pick me up with my sister so we can get food on the way home,That always made me happy even after all the bullying.But then it will all start over all again.A cycle.

"Ok y/n have a good first day of kindergarten!" My sister, Maddy,said hugging me before my mom drove me to school."bye sissy!" I said,giving her a smile revealing my set of teeth with a missing tooth.She smiled at me as my mom pulled me into the car.

"Here's some breakfast!" She said handing me a poptart."YAYY!" I said and started eating it.

When we got to school I was super happy to make friends!I was dressed in a nice blue shirt and a plaid skirt with braided hair,I felt super pretty!That was until I walked into the class...

"Hey Y/n!" The teacher said holding the door open.I smiled as she smiled back.I walked around looking for my desk,The desk were in groups of four btw.

When I sat down there was this pretty girl sitting across from me with two boys next to us.The one next to me looked me up and down at me and started laughing?I looked down at my skirt to see why he was laughing. "why are you laughing?" I said as he laughed harder...

"What? I said confused?
"WHERES YOUR TOOTH?" He burst out laughing.
"Why are you so fat?" The other boy said with a disgusted look on his face.
"What?" I said looking at myself.
"There's nothing wrong with you.Your really pretty!" The girl said looking at me.

The boy next to her shut up after she elbowed him.

"Ok class," The teacher said,walking up to the board and talking.I was zoned out thing what the boys said? I didn't let it get to me that much,I was only 5 and didn't really care about it.

while waiting for my mom and sister to pick me up on a bench after school the girl from class sat next to me.

"Hey y/n!" She said smiling."Hey!" I said happily."oh my names Ella btw!" She said laughing."hey Ella!can I show you a picture I drew?" I said reaching for my backpack."Sure!" She said.

"Ok,uhmmmm?Here!" I said pulling the crumpled up picture out my backpack."oooo!that's really cool!" She said,just then I saw my mom pull up."oh my moms here uhm,I'll see you tomorrow!" I said hopping off the bench."Byeee!" Ella said,swinging her feet.

"Hey y/n did you have a good day?" My mom asked me while handing me Burger King."yea I have a new friend and her name is Ella!" I said proudly."ooo She sounds so sweet!" Maddy said and we drove away.

At home I was talking to Maddy about school when I remembered what those boys told me.

"Then they said 'what's wrong with your teeth?why are you so fat?' But I looked good?You said I did!" I said looking at Maddy,who had a worried face."You did look good?You looked amazing!they're just dumb and don't have good taste!" She said with a disgusted face. "yea!" I said and smiled.

"DINNER!" Our mom yelled from downstairs. "COMING!" Maddy said yelling back,taking me downstairs with her.It was spaghetti with meatballs, my favorite!"i made you your favorite since it's your first day of kindergarten!" My mom said handing me my plate."mmmm!" I said looking at the dish.

My mom laughed while handing me a fork.

After dinner I was in my room watching tv when Maddy came in.

"Hey y/n?" She said quietly."yea?" I said."you know what those boys told you today?" She said sitting on my bed."yea?" I said."Next time they say something like that you tell them 'at least im not weird and don't pee the bed!' Ok?" She said."but I do pee the bed sometimes?" I said confused."They don't know that?just say it!And don't talk to them afterwards!" She said leaving.

I nodded and watched tv til I fell asleep
