Dust P.O.V

It's been a year since I've seen the gang. I sure hope they're okay. "Hey, Dust. We gotta go get some food." I looked up to see Fresh. Yep... He's in our group, and so is my best friend, Blue, and then we have Razz. It's only the four of us. We have no base. This building is a temporary hiding spot. Me and fresh walked out of the building and went to the nearby store which was abandoned. We made sure to be quiet to not attract any Zombies. But then Fresh was pulled and made noise, so we got cornered. We still at least tried not getting bitten. I realized that we could climb up somewhere on the building. "Fresh! Hurry and climb!" I started climbing with fresh and eventually we got to the roof of the store and tried to find a way inside. There was nothing. So we stayed at the roof top together until it became noon. We were sorta close to the building we stayed in with Swap and Razz, so they still know we're alive. They tried saving us, but the zombies nearly got 'em.

We stayed there until dark. Some strangers found Swap and Razz. I couldn't really tell who those two were, but Swap hugged one of them. They went towards the store and the two helped Swap and Razz kill the zombies they gave us something to use to climb down. We climb down and I got a better look at the two. I then realized that they were Dream and Nightmare! "B-Boss!" I exclaimed, staring at Nightmare. "Yeah, I missed you too, Dust." I wanted to hug him, but I didn't want him to get irritated just yet. Then he hugged me... That's right. Boss hugged me, and I couldn't help but hug back.

We went back inside our temporary base. Fresh went up to a mattress and layed there while I and Nightmare talked about stuff. "Killer's still alive... I saw him a couple months ago." Boss told me and I gasped, one of my best friends were still alive! Nightmare saw the joyful expression in my face and didn't seem bothered. "Geez, the apocalypse changed you..." He told me and we just laughed... I guess it did change me... I've been showing more emotions than before.

A few days had passed and Nightmare and Dream had joined our group. We found a new place, and it was a random tree house. Glad it was big enough to fit us and our stuff. Fresh and Dream were making barriers since we also needed outside space. Me and Razz were moving in the food and weapons. Nightmare and Swap were planning a next place to stay in. We finished our chores when darkness spread the area. The others were inside and I was sitting in a corner, wandering off in my mind. I felt someone pat me on the shoulder, and it was Nightmare. "Hey Dust." He had a blush on his face, and I was confused "You know, I've been meaning to tell you something..." He sat down beside me and my face started heating up when he held my hand "I... Like you." He said "Wow... So does this mean I'm not just your worker? We're friends now?" I happily said.

Narrator P.O.V

After Dust asks if they were friends, Nightmare just looked dead inside. "No, I mean, I love you. Like, I want to be your partner." Nightmare says as Dust's face grows red. There was a moment of silence until Dust started speaking "Heh, I guess I love you too..." Nightmare looked at Dust and gave him a small kiss on the lips. Meanwhile Fresh was sitting beside them. "Now that's just cute." Fresh says as Nightmare and Dust jump in surprise "WHAT THE HELL FRESH?" Laughing, Fresh just let Nightmare smack him in the face. Nightmare and Dust slept beside each other tonight.

A few months had passed and the relationship was great! Aside from Nightmare not wanting Dust to go away.
The whole team was out to find a new location. They were walking around to also find some supplies. That was when they were attacked by a group of Zombies. Dust's foot was grabbed and he tried to kick the Zombie off. Swap stomped on the head of the Zombie attacking Dust. Nightmare cut one's head off Dust took out a gun and shot right at the Zombies, Razz did the same, and tried to kill the fast ones. Fresh had a nailed bat out and Tried to defend the others. Dream had a grenade and told the others to get some cover. Nightmare drags Dust and Razz over to a brocken car and hid, while Fresh and Swap hid behind three trash cans. Dream pulled out the safety pin and ran towards Nightmare, Dust and Razz. The grenade explodes, giving them a chance to run. So they took off, hiding in a building. The building was clear, no Zombies around. "Alright everyone, check yourselves for bite marks, scratches or any injuries!" Swap yelled as the others started searching themselves for any wounds. They took off their shirts to check for other injuries "I'm clear!" Fresh says, putting his shirt back on "Same here!" Swap puts his shirt back on, "I'm good as well..." Dream says, also putting his shirt back on "Clear." Nightmare says, also putting his shirt back on. He looks at Dust "You okay Dust?" He asks. Dust didn't respond, and just pointed at his leg. Nightmare looked at it and gasped. "I-I'M BIT!" Dust yells as the others looked at him. Swap ran over to check the wound. Swap started repeating the word "no" multiple times. Dream looked scared "H-How did you not feel the bite earlier?" Fresh asks, as he can be seen shaking "I-I don't know! I just saw it like this-" Nightmare hugged Dust and started shaking "J-Just mercy me..."(Who knows Z nation? If you know it, then you know what this sentence means) Nightmare's eyes widened "I don't want to hurt any of you!" Nightmare tightened the grip. "Just mercy me already! Before I turn!" Swap started crying and so did Nightmare. Nightmare gave Dust to Swap, not wanting to see Dust get slaughtered "I love you Night..." Dust says, before he was shot on the head. Nightmare started crying, knowing that Dust wasn't coming back. He was the only one from the gang he's seen in one year and he was also his partner. Now, he's just dead.
